You need to be Careful they have a Dishonest manager "Elda"
On 10/26/22 at 4:40 pm. I asked if I can get my car release. I was told yes, they would help. Elda told me I needed to get the truck towed.
So I called LOVES TOWING INC Elda asked me to let her know what time they would be coming. When I finally got a time from LOVES TOWING INC they said 5:54 pm I mentioned to Elda the time. She stated, "Oh Hell No...THERE'S NO way I'll stay. Come back tomorrow." As she stood shouting this from across the hallway, well I stood by the front door.
There was nothing I could do, so I left . Today 10/27/22 I am being charger a after hour fee of $165. I was never informed of this fee beside I left alittle after 5 pm. But during the time I came another women came and was being helped as well. That's also took time. That Elda the manager has charged me for.
If I would of known about this extra charged on 10/26 I would of just had her wait til 5:54 pm. Instead of being charged another $100 for the night. No thanks to the Manager Elda who added on Another $165 because she felt doing her job correctly and not notifying about there policy was a inconvenient to her as a Manger!
On another note I asked Elda on 10/27/22 that I wanted to speak to the manager. She mentioned that, she was the manger. So I asked for the owners phone number or information. Also asked who was above her and she stated, the owner. She gave me a email and put the name Tony at the bottom. Who I found out is not the owner but another driver who works for your company. That's is a very dishonest thing do for a perosn who is in a manager position.
Side note not everyone there was rude the towe truck driver was kind but my experience was unpleasant.
The attendant was extremely unprofessional. She insisted that we were required to use a flatbed tow truck and initially refused to release our vehicle, despite the fact that we were able to safely drive it onto our trailer. We explained that there is no California law requiring the use of a tow truck to redeem an impounded vehicle. As the legal owners, we are not required to have a Motor Carrier Permit; however, she was unfamiliar with this and we ultimately had to provide a copy of the MCP regulations ourselves in order to retrieve our vehicle.
This situation reflects a clear need for improved training on California towing and impound laws. I will be submitting a formal complaint to the Goleta CHP, as they assigned Love’s to handle the tow. I have been in the auto industry for 31 years and have recovered hundreds of impounded vehicles, and this was by far the worst experience I have encountered.
My car was towed guy who picked up was really nice and sweet as well as the guys who brought the car out. The only bad experienced I had was with girl in front office i don’t know what’s her problem, but she really rude and has a bad attitude. I really don’t know what’s her problem, after her being hella rude I asked for manager and she said no “I’m the manager”. She not professional at all && this business needs to replace her as I see in other ratings she like that with everyone! Be respectful if you want to get respect it don’t hurt to be nice.
When you get your car towed unexpectedly, you are naturally upset. I was instantly scared and felt defeated by the whole thing. LUCKILY it was towed by Love's and those that I spoke to were so gracious in explaining not only what happened, but more importantly what to DO. The "after-hours" guys I spoke to Steve on the first night, and later Tony were both so calm and friendly, and the day time office manager.... oh my gosh I would HATE me for all the back to back panic calls I made asking a SINGLE question at a time (But in my defense, I didn't know WHAT to ask!!) but Elda was kind to me for my approximately 17 calls, and when I came in with my payment greeted me with a smile. She KNEW I been through the ringer lol Overall, very grateful that if I had to go through this, it was with lovely locals who are readily available and willing to communicate (BECAUSE YA GIRL WAS LOOOST!)
Very helpful, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I had an absolutely great experience with them when my van broke down. I don’t think there is anything they could do better. I would recommend them to anyone for their towing needs. Thank you for your help! Hopefully i wont have to call you again, but if i do - i know i can trust you. Cheers!
I had a fantastic experience with Love's Towing Company. They were incredibly professional, made an appointment that they showed up for right on time, and handled everything with such care and courtesy. Everyone was nice and fast at getting me my car back, except for the girl working the front desk. You can’t expect to give someone attitude and just have them say nothing back. Being nice doesn’t cost much. If you’re having a bad day, don’t take it out on other people.
Love’s Towing is the best in town! I was stuck on the side of the road and they showed up super fast. The driver was really nice and made the whole process stress-free. They took great care of my car and didn’t overcharge me, which I really appreciate. If you need a tow, these are the people to call. Highly recommend!

The lady there actually smiled when she told me I could not get my personal belongings. It was all the clothes I have I've been freezing at night because I have no clothes. I begged her to please give me my clothes and she had a smirk on her face the whole time. No sympathy whatsoever. Id definitely go with Thomas Towing the people over there are much nicer and friendlier.

The service is expensive and for using your card they charge you 4% extra
This is the response to your message! It wasn't ten minutes, it was 25. I was looking at the time and at the place where you left us it took more than an hour to repair a tire!! And why do they charge the extra 4% when using the card? What if you were charging $100 above everyone else's cost? Yes, the service was fast but we ended up wasting more time in one place because it is more convenient for you because it was in front of your yard, I appreciate the speed but unfortunately the end was sad, thank you and in the next service I will be careful, thank you.
Probably the worst customer service around! Yes, I know their only job is to take every penny you have, and when I'm in the wrong I completely understand and don't mind paying their ridiculous fee's. In this case I was not wrong and will let the judge decide the outcome. Their BBB score is in the toilet as well.
My son crashed his car very unfortunate situation but Glenn was very careful not to damage the car any further. The other tow truck driver was named Tony I believe and they both helped me retrieve the vehicle. Bad situation but these two tow truckers made it very easy for me to understand. Will be calling them in future!!!
Made the mistake of not seeing the tow zone sign from a parking spot a car just pulled out of. Frustrated, I call the towing number. They inform me it’s $595 to pick up the car. Seems incredibly steep, but I’ll take the “L” on that one. Arrive to pick up our car and they then inform us they don’t accept cards and that I can go to an ATM. Frustrated, I return home to get a check rather than carrying that much cash on me from an ATM to the location. I arrive back to the lot and then informed they ONLY take cash. When I get to the nearest ATM it has a $400 limit. After running to the nearest bank ATM I am finally able to get the cash. This when from a costly 20 minute mistake to an hour and a half ordeal because they communicate so poorly. Must be nice running a business where your customers don’t have a choice.
Great experience. Picked my car up and gave me a ride to the car dealership. Blew out my tire on the 101. One of the nicest gentleman was helping me, I forgot his name but was in his early 20s and extremely kind and gracious. Great person. Got me out of the road safely and back to Santa Barbara. Great company
Simply the best towing company in town! They answer right away, communicate effectively and arrive in a timely manner! Glenn who helped my family and I was simply a nice guy and very polite and professional! Would recommend this company to any one in town!
Was stranded far from home with a flat on my rental. The rental company was absolutely atrocious in how they dealt with my problem but the tow driver that responded was extremely helpful. His ETA was accurate (on a Saturday night), service was fast, and the guy who responded (unfortunately did not get his name) was professional, very sympathetic to my plight and had good advice. Even his truck was spotless. I want to thank him and his shop for being the bright spot in a grim situation.
Love's rescued my family & me on a Sunday during our vacation! So helpful, friendly, and responsive. Love's even took our car to a reputable mechanic the next morning when they opened for business. The towing service assigned by our insurance company were too busy to help and suggested I wait until Monday to be rescued.
Love’s Towing is the best towing company in town. They were the only one that were willing to help when my motorcycle broke down and had to be towed back home. Kip and Tony are great and very professional. They have a great team. All very friendly and professional they care for customers vehicles. They were careful loading up my bike to avoid any damages. I highly recommend Loves Towing Company if you are in need of towing services. They are very reliable and are always on time.
I tried to call to get some information about a relatives car that was in impound. The lady on the phone told me that she can’t share any information with anyone but the registered owners car and then HUNG UP on me while I was trying to ask what their hours of operation were. I proceeded to call back 30 mins later after driving to the sheriffs department to get the information I needed to ask what their rates were for storing the car and if there was an after hours option for pickup. She proceeded to yell at me that I was being rude and that she already told me what to do and HUNG UP on me AGAIN. Not the tow truck drivers are very recommendable in general, but I would do my very best to avoid this company at all possible. Seriously the rudest people I’ve ever met. They don’t care about you, period.
I had a flat tire today, this evening. I called my insurance for road side assistance and they immediately got in contact with Love's Towing Service. I am so happy my insurance connected me to this awesome towing service. The estimated time arrival was 1 hour and 30 minutes but Tony came super fast and I only waited less than 30 minutes which is super awesome speedy road side assistance!! He called me to locate my exact location at the shopping center I was in and he professionally asked me which side I had the tire flat. Once, I let him know which tire it was- he quickly grabbed his tools and removed my tire flat. He carefully inspected what type of damage I had on the tire. He spotted the the puncture hole which was possibly caused by a sharp object. He, then efficiently replaced the tire flat with my car's spare tire. Tony also put extra air on my spare tire to ensure the security of car which I thought was really nice of him. As well, he gave me safety driving tips when driving with a spare tire. He's also helped me before in previous occasions when my battery died and when I locked myself out of the car. Love's Towing service never lets me down and I highly recommend him and his brother!
I love how fast loves towing is! My car decided to break down on one of the busiest streets. I gave loves towing a call, the operator was super friendly and helpful! She let me know how far the driver was, within 10mins I see loves tow truck pull up behind me. Both Kip and the operator were super friendly and helpful! Great customer service! Thanks again!!
I'm rarely (never, really) motivated to right reviews like this. I actually just got home, and was so moved by how helpful these people were that I'm writing this review right now. Although I was told 30 minutes on the phone, they were there in 15 minutes. The two folks who helped me, a couple by the name of Chuck and Ruby, were amazingly sweet and kind. The place I originally had them go to wouldn't take my car, so they, free of charge, took me somewhere else and helped me to attach the spare, all for no more money than what they originally quoted. I havn't experienced such kind, genuine service in basically ever.
After reading the reviews I was almost going to go with another company but was actually glad I didn't! The young guy whose name I didn't get but was so nice, got there so quick, surprised me because they told me 20 minutes and that is quick already but I was pleasantly surprised how fast they came, really great customer service, friendly, made this first for me go smoothly and no hidden fees, paid exactly what I was quoted over phone! Thanks Love's Towing for getting my baby (my car :) to where I needed it to be safely! Definitely will be recommending and my go to service when needed! (No offense but hopefully it's not for a looooooong time for me)
