I was assigned this towing company through my insurance and given an estimated arrival time. 1 hour after the arrival time came and went I decided to call the towing company directly. They assured me someone would be here in half an hour. After half an hour no one had arrived. I called back and they told me 10 more minutes. After 20 minutes, the towing company was reassigned to another company more responsive by my insurance company. This is disappointing as simple realistic communication would have given me a totally different experience with this company. I cannot reccommend.
the worst tow truck service!! I was waiting for more than an hour and they didn't arrive, I canceled the service and asked for a new service!!! and the problem that was on the side of the highway with a burst tire
Left me on the side of the road for 3 hours after telling me it would be 30-40 minutes. Tried calling numerous times and no answer. And the mailbox was full. No update, no phone calls. Just me stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours. I gave two stars because the driver was a good dude.
These fine folks picked up my vehicle, which was suffering from a possible electrical short issue, on 2/26/2023. They took it to an auto shop that no longer existed and when I asked them to take it to another shop 3 miles up the road they tried to extort me of $100 out of pocket. Even though my car insurance, which the tow truck was requisitioned through, explicitly said 100 mile tow range. I had shown and confirmed this with the supervisor that evening and he still asked for $100 out of pocket. I asked them to leave the vehicle where it was and I would have another service pick it up. Do not use these guys, they will try to extort money out of you thinking that you don't know what's on your own policy.
David and Frank were fantastic, on time, and so kind! They were professionals, very knowledgeable about what they do and how to do it, and assisted us when we really needed it.

Robert picked my vehicle up off of the 101 after my car died. He was early and and did a great job. He was very friendly and professional. Thank You Robert & SB Towing for a job well done.

I was very happy with the service the staff at Santa Barbara Towing helped me out. Ashley was particularly helpful when it came to getting rid of my truck that was totaled. Even got a good price for it. I totally recommend them.
My experiences have always been top notch when dealing with this tow service… there’s plenty of tow options so choosing wisely is the difference between getting your car back in the same condition as they took it in & noticing a gouge in your paint or rim the next day….. ashly is the only one I’ve ever met…. After towing the vehicle after an accident, Frank was able to set up a time for my son to go gather his personal belongings out of his car on a holiday weekend. On Tuesday after the holiday, Ashly was extremely helpful to us being out of town, in getting all the paperwork done so our insurance company could pick up the car. I appreciate Ashly's constant communication and willingness to to work it all out being 8 hours away and not able to physically be there to sign forms.
Ashley took my call and collected all the necessary info. $175 for a 20 mile tow from Oil Piers Beach over to a service repair shop in Santa Barbara. She was efficient and competent, and so was the tow truck driver. Thankfully I was not in a situation where time was of the essence.
Worst company ever! This people are Thieves they stole things out of my moms car. I called to report it but the "Manager" didn't even say sorry for what happen she just said to email her what was stolen, I did but they never got back to me. I don't recommend ANYONE to call them..
I broke down in my cargo van RV conversion. Frank, from Santa Barbara Towing was super nice on the phone. The driver's name was Peter. He took good care of my van. It was great working with them. I'm very grateful for the good service.
I was broke down and I called Frank from Santa Barbara towing. He showed up before the eta and got me off the highway right away. His price was very reasonable and his service was A+++. If you are looking for the best towing company in the Santa Barbara Area call Frank!!!!
Shady company, tried to say my car was in longer than it actually was, on top of that, I’m a veteran and my car was taken the Friday night before Veterans Day weekend and because I had to go to the DMV (which was closed on Veterans Day), I ended up requesting any sort of help and the guy said that he could knock off $75 but since it had been in there a while that’s all he could do. Would never trust this place to do any sort of towing with my vehicle. Will update upon inspection of car to see if any damages were incurred
Update: so the President of the company, said he’d give me $75 off but when I looked at the bill only $70 was taken off. When I asked he said he meant to say $70. Then when I requested a detailed receipt of EXACTLY what charges were accrued over the days that it was in the tow yard, he couldn’t find anything to show me. Finally, after getting tired of hearing one bs line after another, I paid only to find out my front headlight, which had worked just fine when the car was towed, now, no longer works. I’ve started the process of filing a claim against this company. Please, whoever reads this, do not ever call this company and expect an honest answer. Or even an informed answer. Kinda blows me away that the president of a company, can’t provide details regarding their fees.
The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! They lied to our Insurance Company’s about when they would arrive to fix our flat tire on our trailer. They first said an hour ( Santa Barbara was only 23 miles away) then kept delaying it a half hour - finally after waiting 3 hours they arrived. The woman who is their dispatcher kept on lying about the arrival time. When we tried to talk to her directly, she was very rude and would not let us speak. She said she would have her supervisor call us and then hung up. Needless to say, the supervisor never called.
Apparently I parked in a parking lot I was not supposed to. I had to pay to get my car back, but they showed me all the signs posted in the parking lot and were very informative. Very nice people for a towing company. I guess I shouldn't space out while driving haha.
Picked up my 1970 el camino when I was in a bind. They got there within 15 minutes and and didn't do any extra damage to my car, even with it being a very low car. They didn't charge me an arm and a leg either! I recommend Santa Barbara Towing over every other company.
Me and my girlfriend were on our way to Malibu that I felt like my tire was loosing air while we were driving on PCH. I called Malibu Towing and they send one of their guys out to us real quick, the guys was super cool and had my tire patched up for a real good price. Great job Malibu Towing , two thumbs up.
I called them and they picked up my car within 10 minutes drove me to home to unload my car after my car accident and then to enterprise for a rental car. Thanks guys
Absolute worst customer service I have EVER experienced, across any industry. They were terribly late, kept telling me the driver was almost there and he never showed. They eventually, and I kid you not, started HANGING UP ON ME when I called to see where my tow was. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.
Bought a clutch and installed a clutch from them. They said "brand new" even showed me the old clutch(which was probably some random one).
900$ later and 3-4 months I am in Albuquerque, NM. The clutch goes out. Unbelievable!!!
I do not recommend this to ANYONE, this place will screw you over!
