Anthony stayed in contact with me, showed up early, and tried a number of things to get my car started…. He was very friendly, positive and did an excellent job towing my vehicle!
This towing company put us in debt. Period.
Because of how fast and heartlessly they towed my fiancé’s car, we are now unable to pay rent this month.
There’s no “maybe,” no “setback” — it happened. They drained us for everything they could and walked away like it was nothing.
No warning, no care, just pure greed. The car was there for a total of 1hr and the charged is for an entire day. 500 DALLORS BTW!!
I literally HEARD it happening and still couldn’t stop it — that’s how quick they move when money’s involved.
They don’t see humans, just dollar signs.
And let’s talk about Spot 19.
Whoever you are? Watch yourself. Seriously. You called this in like it was some civic duty, and now we can’t afford to eat.

The appointment was scheduled for 1 PM. No one showed. Had to call and after several minutes was told the driver would arrive within a half an hour. I do not know what the issue was.
I have to share that once the driver, Sergio, arrived things changed. He was knowledgeable, professional, and handled the situation perfectly. I highly recommend Sergio.
Smitty's driver Josh really did me a solid handling the rental car that broke down on me just a couple miles from the airport! Thanks again for getting me to my flight just in time!!
My Ram promaster campervan had a breakdown on the highway at night, had a very professionnel and helpful lady on the phone that immediately sent a tower. Yuck, who likes to get towed for anything... Well it happened, and I had the pleasure of getting greeted by Dave. Dave was professional and smiling, and put my anxiety aside.
I feel like he enjoyed the customers and improved my tow experience. Top Tier customer service and a delight... Smittys had a wonderful, clean flatbed come and was timely.

Our insurance company contacted Smitty’s towing to tow our car to the autobody repair shop after it was involved in an accident. Mike Rivera was the tow truck operator that showed up. Mike was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful and took great care of our car and his customer service skills made us much more comfortable and calm. Thank you Mike! Had a 30 foot Moving van plunged of road into the mud and 3 tow companies there to try to retrieve the unit to no avail. Called Smittys and they had the truck out in a short time. Very nice equipment!! Next time they will be my first call… Thanks guys (and gals)
Mike from Smitty's arrived very quickly and saved the day. I locked rental keys (and my house key, elderly and infirm parents' groceries and medications, etc...) in the trunk ... The rental agency's solution was to tow the vehicle to LAX, have me uber to get a replacement rental and then get to LAX to retrieve my possessions. Totally unacceptable. Whatsmore, I was parked in handicap spot with fractured ankle and would not have my placard. Mike got the car opened but there still was not trunk access to get the keys. He referred me to a locksmith and the problem was solved in ½ hour. He even phoned back to make sure I wasn't still stuck! My parents got their groceries and medications on time. No LAX! Thank you Mike!
Mike went above and beyond the call of duty! We had a very stressful situation and he took the time to figure out the best way to get our truck unstuck with the least amount of damage to it.
He had such a great spirit and attitude and showed a lot of skill and ingenuity.
I felt so blessed (and surprised) when he cared enough to call me to check on us- especially because we had run into more trouble and he came back and rescued us again!
Ours was not the easiest job but Mike worked tirelessly and saw things through until our truck was safely home.

Mike is awesome, 10 out of 10 service! He’s wonderful! The service was great, he came to fixed my issue efficiently. It was around 10 pm, after he finished his work, he left, and after 1-2 mins he called me and told me: if I were you, I’ll leave this place immediately because this is really not a safe place to stay at this time. (I was extremely scared since I’ve never broke the car so I stay in the car and texting my family after he fixed it and I didn’t leave that place) he was waiting for me to leave one block away and wants to make sure I’m safe, he even told me to follow him he’ll bring me to the freeway(I was so scared and I’m afraid of driving at that time) I’m international student and I don’t have family in the states with me, I feel so helpless since I’ve never dealing with this situation, thanks Mike , he’s the best , I can’t imagine what’s going to happen without his help!!!!!
Not good. Solid three hour wait. No call. No address confirmation. When I called to how much longer (at the 2.5 hour mark) and found I needed to give them the correct address, I was met with total disrespect and unprofessionalism at every juncture. It was unfortunate because I did completely understand that it’s right before the holiday and they are probably overwhelmed and regularly expressed this while trying to have basic tow needs met. This kind of bad attitude across the board is not ok. The driver who picked up even threatened to “take it to the yard” if the shop wasn’t open. Total unnecessary meanness. Happy Thanksgiving. I would never voluntarily choose this tow shop and hope to never have to deal with them again.
Was stranded while camping out of cell phone range and our ride was late because of it. Once picked up, however, we (wife and dog) were treated with empathy and kindness. Our driver, Neil, was capable and confident as well. We had laughter and great conversation en route to a transmission shop. Neil even insisted on handling our luggage once we were ready to roll and once we arrived. Total gentleman. Neil knew the location and area of our destination and even had thoughtful recommendations about it. Though repairs were extensive- and we were stranded without our camper van for over a week- we remember the professionalism, service and courtesy from Neil and Smitty's Towing.
In light of the stressful situation, the guy who changed tire my entire made my entire day. He was so kind, friendly, and he kept cracking jokes while he was working on my car which put me at ease. He also worked very quickly, and was done in less than 15 minutes! Could not have had a better experience.
They responded right away and we’re so kind. My son and I were stuck late at night with a flat tire. The dispatch was extremely helpful she got Robert out there right away and he was so patient and kind he even let my son watch him fix the tire. It really turned our bad situation around and we really appreciate their prompt service.
Service itself was great, very friendly. But I missed an important appointment for my car because they were over 5 hours late! I understand that law enforcement calls are important, but I wasn't informed until about 2-3 hours after my appointment.
I came back to Santa Barbara Airport after 5 days of travel to find a flat tire. Smitty's was there within 20 minutes and got me on my way. Rich(?) the driver was super friendly and efficient and the gal at dispatch was really nice. Thanks for a great service experience.
I thoroughly recommend Smitty’s. I was waiting for AAA for 4 hours then gave Smitty’s a call and David picked me up within 45 minutes. He showed me how to access and attach the tow hook in my front bumper that I was unaware of, he was very experienced and really nice. Ask for David, he’ll take care of you :)
My battery died. They arrived right on time and jumped it. Told me i needed a new battery and even showed me a printout of my battery and explained it. They changed my battery for a new one right then and there didnt cost a lot either! Walter was very nice and proffessional. Great service very happy!
Our transmission gave out on us in Goleta on our way home to Oxnard from Pismo beach. I believe the drivers name was Dan or Daniel and we’d like to thank him very much for making us feel at ease and comfortable about our situation. Had an ETA of an hour, Fredrick arrived in less than half that. I had never changed a tire before and he took the time to patiently teach me step by step and let me get some hands on experience. All in all, amazing customer service. Thanks again!
