This place is great. I thought I would have to by a scanner to know why there was awarning on my dashboard. The guy let me borrow one. Free! Yesterday they recharged my dead battery. Again, FREE! THey are super nice, helpful, and I appreciate the free services. They dont even solicit positive reviews ( but they totally should.)

Employee was extremely helpful. They asked if I needed help but when above and beyond to check what I needed. System said out of stock but they double checked anyway. They also knew where everything was and were super friendly at checkout. Even offered to verify what we were buying for the car.

Bad customer service. Manager is accusatory and does not provide assistance. The younger staff was polite, however older staff seemed to project negative stereotypes onto me and my family following us around the store and making assumptions about our purchases making us feel like criminals. Very uncomfortable shopping experience, I would not recommend this specific location to anyone. We ended up canceling our entire order over $100 worth of supplies because I did not feel comfortable giving them my business.

We really appreciate Mary and Mike for helping us on Veterans Day (11/11/2024). The battery of our car was dead after we visited our friend in Sunset. We called around for help but not able to get anything. We were blessed to be able to get help at O'Reilly. Thank you so much!

Staff is Overconfident, Not educated at all in automotive parts or automotive experience. For a idea of what I mean...they are the kids that would be putting the square blocks in the round holes. YEAH

Went here 9-5-24 at 3:02 PM. I asked the lady clerk to help register me for birthday rewards. She hands me a card and said she can’t help me. I told her I can’t do it as I tried it on the website. At the bottom of the card it says if you want help a staff will help you. What the hell is she there for to look pretty? I went to the male clerk to the left side and he helped register me. That female clerk needs to be retrained on custom service. Now I see why there’s sooo many negative reviews for this store! Hey, stay on top of the game! You are paid to provide good customer service! 10-4-24 Contacted customer service. Was placed on hold for a while, Zack helped me look up the account and input the bday. He was very helpful explaining how the rewards work. Now why couldn’t that female clerk do the same, help their customers with questions? We don’t work there, they should be knowledgeable about the rewards program as well as their products. Such a waste of 20 minutes of my time not including being placed on hold. The male clerk at the store never asked for his birthday. How would the system know when to issue the coupon if the birthday wasn’t input into the database, dah? I picked this up the dude didn’t do his due diligence when he registered my bf at the store. Called half ass job!

Five stars to Harry, who explained how our late model VW would need a new battery to be synced to the engine's computer, without which, battery charging would ultimately fail, *despite the new battery.* He's a good egg! Thanks to Harry!

That O'Reilly has been a local car part store for more than 50 years. It used to go by a different name; but O'Reilly did the right thing by keeping it a part store in the neighborhood.

This location does not deserve any stars, Awful experience and horrible customer service. My car battery died as soon as I got off the freeway of sf. Had to walk 2 miles to this stores location and asked for any help, and the only help they gave me was selling me what I came in for. I asked some of the employees to help me get the car battery 2 miles away because walking 2 miles up and down those hills is no joke. All the employees denied me . Overall, I am glad a customer helped me.

I had a fantastic experience with Mike while purchasing an air filter. He was not only knowledgeable and professional but also personable. Interestingly, O’Reilly’s price for the component was nearly identical to Amazon’s. Given this, I recommend buying from O’Reilly, where you can receive personalized guidance during your purchase. I’ve been a loyal customer for several decades and have never had a negative experience.

Would not return a product (battery terminal protector) because it was sprayed once. Horrible customer service. Will go to Autozone for all my auto needs.

Completely unprofessional. I wanted a specific replacement part. Attendant told me to get a different one listed as factory replacement, saying they were all the same attachment. It didn't fit, nor was it even the same attachment. Agreed to a refund but not without insulting me several times.

I have not had one single bad experience, they've come through for me so many times even when other auto parts stores couldn't!... Nothing but positive things to say about their employees for that matter too and it definitely makes my auto parts shopping experience at their Taraval location truly my one stop auto parts shop hands down!

My head light went out and ask if they would help me put it on since I am not from here. Out here Ubering I was told they can't come out in the dark area very well lite and I was parked in parking lot. I have carpal tunnel which I told them and would appreciate if they could help it only would have taken 5 minutes but the refused. I told them I had bought another head light for the other side yesterday and the guys at the other O'Reilly was nice enough to help put it on I should have went back to the other store but it was already 8:30 so I would not have made it in time. But I won't come back to this store again. I will take my business to the other store. Now I have to find someone to help put the bulb on don't want a fix it ticket for a head light.

Guy was friendly and helpful. Didn't make me feel out of place and got me a set of wrenches because the hardware store was closed. I got their economy brand it was under 20 dollars for three different adjustable wrenches. Not too bad I suppose.

Bought a 12volt battery for my 2012 Honda hybrid. The purchase was fast, efficient and correct. Also bought a combo pack of lug donuts, post anti-corrosion spray and the stiff wire brush for the posts. The salesman was quick and efficient, a real help. He even offered discounts that I didn’t expect. Overall a good purchase and experience.

Been to this location for years, pretty easy to park as the neighborhood is fairly quiet and they have a little lot for a few cars. The staff here is cheery and helpful, never had a problem finding what I need and they are eager to get you the item as soon as possible if they do not have it. The store is well organized, clean, and well stocked, not much more I want for a parts store. I've never needed their other service but I've seen people come for battery and wiper assistance which they install for you.

Very happy with the service. Called before to confirm something. When I showed up, I was helped right away and the product I bought qualified for installation, which was done quickly and professionally, despite encountering difficulty. Parking is *extremely* limited and difficult; that's the only drawback.

Good selection of stuff, but I wouldn't trust the website on anything relating to vehicle compatibility. Apparently both yellow and green coolant is compatible with my BMW... though neither of those should be used in a BMW or it would cause multiple cooling system failures because of chemical reactions.

Super nice people. They don't bother you when you walk in the store other than say hello. The shelves are pretty well stocked but they can do better in some areas. But for the general population, not bad. I've got a track car Miata, an AMG Mercedes, and my 25 year old 4Runner. Pretty much anything I need for general maintenance I can get it here. For specialized parts, no.

The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and relentless about helping you get the parts you need for your vehicle. The store manager and Roger are awesome, there customer service is top notch. I recommend this store hands down! Thanks guys.

Needed new windshield wipers. One of the employees, Kevin, changed them out for me. He also patiently gave me a tutorial so I can change them on my own next time. Excellent customer service!

Did not have what I really needed. It's okay for Batteries though. I wish they would have more variety and not have everything in a package if they know exactly how many of something you need. Or do they just not want you to shoplift the product I don't know what it is but their idea of what the consumer wants is not there

Excellent service! I needed a new car battery. They tested my battery for me, then recommended I go directly through the dealer because it might be covered under warranty, i hadnt thought of that. And they were right, is was, so they saved me money! I will be going here from now on!

This place is pretty legit. They usually have simple maintenance items in stock like windshield wiper fluid, motor oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, battery, and some additives like lucas oil as well! They even provide free battery charging and I always take my used motor oil back here to recycle! Their prices on motor oil is fair and the staff seems to know enough about cars. Never dealt with any rude staffing here!
