This store has been the worst ever since the store burned down. Today I gave it another chance, just because i was closer. But normally i drive all the way to Autozone on Jackson st, Hayward, CA. Because everytime i call or visit the store they always have the part ready to go when i need it. This visit i went to this store and check inventory on a accelerator pedal for a chevy truck. Gave the counter guy (Cesar Adalberto) my vehicle info and the name of the part. He was confused if i meant pedal o throttle body. I told him pedal in spanish still confused. At the end i gave him the part number. Bingo we found it in the system. But now then part is not in stock at this store. Still im ok until this point because Some people know about cars others dont and thats ok. He checked inventory at the south san francisco store. He complain about how long they took for them to check. Complained to the active manager here at the norfolk store infront of everybody. He insisted for me to pay for the part in advance and then i can go pick i up. He stated is easier just in case someone else buys it before u pick it up. Understandable. I went ahead and pay for the part, he reassured me just with the receipt i can pick it up. I asked him again, u sure? He said yeah yeah yeah. Drove to south san francisco 30 minutes due to traffic hour. Get there they are ofcourse busy. Waited about 5 minutes, the guy there helped me and let me know the part is on route to san mateo. The guy who sold it to me requested the part to be transfer and Wont be ready for pick until 5:35 pm now is 4:00pm got a little fustrated went ahead thank the guy. Went on my way to san mateo again. Took me 25 minutes, get to the store no body is in the front. The manager comes out from the back. I let him know i had pay for this part and the guy who sold it to me told me and reassured me i can pick it up at the ssf location. He grab the receipt look at the shelf and justs, "Is on the transfer vehicle, and wont be ready until 5:35pm" I know drove all the way to ssf location and they told me that. At this point all i wanted from the manage is, "hey apologies for that let me know the eta of the drive" instead all i got was, "sorry, come back by 5:35pm". What type of managers and employees do they hired? By the way the only reason i wrote this is because of the way the manager took this situation. Ive been a manager and i will never tell a customer im sorry come back later. Worst service ive had in this store. Good luck to those who will be buying from this store.

I've come to O'reilly's on multiple occasions for a variety of things all related to cars obviously. I've always found those items I need whether it's oil, additives, wipers and even batteries. The great thing about this place is the very helpful folks behind the counter. They know exactly where things are and what things you may need or they recommend. This place is tucked away but since I'm familiar with San Mateo, it's a simple and convenient to get to. Always friendly and helpful. #TheBrokerWithAHeart

Came in to get help with a check engine light just wanted to scan it. Took employees 45min to help me out with something that took 1-2min. They need to learn to prioritize customers who have been waiting too long

I am giving 2 stars because the 2nd associate was able to ring me up and get me out of there finally. So I came in looking for some coolant for my company vehicle and some special oil for our gradall. The 1st young associate was attentive and helpful at first. He assisted and helped me answer some questions. But when it came time to ring up, he could not pull up our company account through the computer. He gave some sass saying we had to transfer our account over to his store and create a whole new account to complete the transaction. At this point I am in the store too long and on and off the phone with my boss and shop guy who insisted they purchased at this store previously with no problems. So I am outside on the phone and the associate disappears. While waiting for him to come back, the 2nd associate was able to pull up our account with ease and ring me up with no hassle. The 1st associate finally comes out and I ask him "hey your buddy was able to pull up our account and ring me up. Why couldn't you?" He simply shrugged and started mumbling some mumbo-jumbo as I walked out of the store. I felt he just wanted to waste my time on a busy Friday. Very frustrating especially when they are supposed to be the experts and help people out. So not cool and not a good way to start a Friday that's for sure.

I'm always needing a last minute part. Only reason I can't give it a five star is the motorcycle batteries I buy are pretty much shot in about a year ish. BUT, I always get attentive service , and when all the auto parts stores were closed one night, I unexpectedly decided, as a last resort, to look for a nut for my bike flange absolutely knowing they wouldn't carry just nuts, BUT THERE THEY WERE! And I needed them so desperately that night to get my bike home. So thanks O'Reilly for stocking those hidden gems.

If they don't have it, or can't get it, my cars don't really need it! Friendly, knowledgeble, and helpful people as well. I'd never heard of an "Automagic Do-it-all" tool I'm sure they have them on hand if I need it. =;)

The bestest best auto parts store in the whole wide world! The top radiator hose on my beater 3rd car, a 1990 Honda Accord, blew out/ruptured/exploded on the way to bring my son to hockey practice tonight at the nearby rink. Home Depot, within walking distance, didn't have anything close to being appropriate. This O'Reilly's did, by Uber. They had the actual part I needed. For a car more than 30 years old. Hallelujah! They even had two different kinds, I had a choice! Dang. So I got one, got a screwdriver for the hose clamps, and the guy there helped me with that too, awesome service guy, and I was all set! Uber'ed back to the rink, swapped hoses in no time, and made our way back home after my son was done. By the way, my real car is a 2001 Mustang Bullitt, and my wife of course, has a newer and more expensive Macan S. So I know cars. Awesome awesome auto parts store, and I could tell that the service guy there was genuinely happy he could help me. Two thumbs up!

Friendly customer service, very attentive to your needs, it opens up early at 7:30am, and closes late at 9:00pm. Also it stocks cell phone cables and chargers with a 5 yr warranty. Centrally located in San Mateo, CA, in the crossroads of 3rd street and S. Norfolk St, easy access off 101 Hwy at 3rd street exit, in the Shoreview Shopping Center, it's a small shopping center shelves well stocked, not very crowded, easy in and out within 10 minutes, and back out on the road again, if you're close-by it's highly recommended

The store is in a very convenient location, and has a very good costumer service. The prices are reasonable and this O'Riley location always has what I'm looking for when I get in to a car issue. I recommend going here if you want a stress free shipping experience

several months ago there was a conflagration to the rear of the business, with loud combustible explosions, causing the store to close. establishment remains closed as of today, Friday, 051019 @ 1324.

Clerk was pleasant. They accepted my return that I bought at a different oreillys. Warned me that I wouldn't get a core return credit for the motorcycle battery I wanted them to recycle.

They dont accept oil filters and only accept oil which is bizarre to me. The cal recycle and the orielly website clearly state they accept oil filters so not a happy camper since I wasted my time.

Super knowledgeable assistant manager Rausch helped me and my Pops out. I was ready to dump 300 bucks and after some quick investigating all I needed was a fresh battery. We live in an inpatient world so it's refreshing to get some honest service. I found my store.
