Brandon was very helpful. He matched the price of another tire shop and transferred the tires from another shop to the San Mateo location so I could have my car turned around the same day. I was impressed by the customer service and the shop's speed. Thank you!

Wheel Works is a great local San Mateo business! They provide great customer service and have very competitive prices. They've helped me get flat tires fixed promptly and went above and beyond when installing new tires. Definitely recommend them if you need new tires or other automotive work done.
Gigi and Carmen were so pleasant and knowledgeable when I came in to get new tires. Gigi was incredibly patient with my questions and helped to price match me. No pressure to do any additional services but were helpful in sharing recommendations for what to do to keep still a good level of maintenance on my car. Highly recommend!
I brought in my car for tire replacement. After replacing all 4 tires, my TPM sensors stopped functioning. I was made to come back several times, and each time, I get there, there was no technician to repair my TPM sensor issues. Honestly, my tire sensors were fine before they replaced my tires. I really don't know if they caused the damage or what? Up to now, I still could not get someone in that tire shop to help repair my tire sensors. Lousy service, and bad customer relationship is what I experienced with them. I don't normally give bad remarks, but their bad service needs to be addressed.
The ladies up front were professional and friendly! Also had a great conversation with them. I got laid off a couple months ago so they gave me advice on what to replace and fix first. And thank you for helping put air in my tires. Merry Christmas ladies!

If you need a tire replacement or patch, this is the place to go!! Brandon and his team were so kind, helpful, and honest. I drove over a giant screw on my way to work and they were able to patch it up in no time. Highly recommend them as a reputable shop!

Excellent customer service. Saul is knowledgeable, and he is clear about what to expect based on the condition of the vehicle. He doesn’t complicate things for you, and it is easy to tell he is trying to help you as a customer and not just trying to make money out of nowhere with the car, which is something very difficult to find nowadays. About the service performed: excellent. We gave them a very difficult car to align that was involved in a collision and they did a marvelous job. Saul made some mechanical decisions that made this difficult task actually easier than what it was. Very fair price too compared to all the scammers out there. Very happy customer here. Kudos!
I’ve had great experiences at Wheel Works San Mateo, but yesterday sealed the deal. This place is my go-to. I came in for two new tires and, as always, Sal took amazing care of me. His customer service is consistently excellent: clear communication, honest recommendations, and a level of kindness that really stands out in the auto world.
Every employee I’ve interacted with here has been knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. They don’t talk down to you, they explain what’s going on with your car, and they treat you with respect every single time. That alone keeps me coming back.

Had a puncture on my right rear tyre and came into Wheelworks on a Tuesday afternoon. They took me in straight away and had me back on the road within an hour. Excellent service and great communication throughout the whole process. Really impressed with the efficiency and professionalism. I’ll definitely be returning here for any future services. One of my best experience working to get my vehicle serviced. Staffs were very nice and very knowledgeable about what needs to be or couldn't be fixed. The car was also fixed at a reasonable and fast time. Highly recommended place for services.
I went to Wheel Works on El Camino with a screw in my tire. After a brief wait as they helped folks in front of me, we went out to check the tire. All the employees were super friendly and helpful. I had to leave the car for a bit, but when I went to pick it up, they said it was no charge!!! Wow!! Thanks WW. I also really like that they have a system there that folks can opt to donate to the Boys and Girls Club. Support companies that support our communities.

It was a very busy day at Wheel Works. I came in an hour before closing with a concern about one of my tires. Even with the place being busy, Saul listened, was extremely helpful, and we were able to come up with a solution that worked.
He was very eager to help and pointed out other things I may want to think about without trying to upsell.

The waiting time is extremely long, i would have given a 3 and the lady attending to me has no good customer service, did not explain well and and follow up, i was the one who called to follow up because its been almost 3 hours but i always think of the last time that i needed an emergency tire and they accommodate me right away. So i don't know if i will be coming back for service to them.
At this Wheel Works location, exceptional customer service is evident, in contrast to the experience at the Belmont location. I would like to express my gratitude to Toni for assisting me in acquiring a new set of tires within a single afternoon, without the need for an appointment. Toni informed me that she had only two tires available at this location and proceeded to locate two from another store. Consequently, I was able to return my vehicle with the new set of tires within less than three hours. I commend Toni and the outstanding crews at South San Mateo Wheel Works for their exceptional service.
We had a great experience here. We usually get our tires replaced at Costco, but decided to shop around since it's a bit of a hassle getting tires replaced or rotated at Costco.
We found on wheel works' website they carried the same tires we were looking to get from Costco but with essentially the same price and next day availability (vs Costco's two week wait). They also advertise free future rotations and inspections which is a plus.
Booking an appointment was super easy on the website. We showed up the next day and were helped at the counter by Abby who was super friendly and helpful. She talked us through their options, we picked the same tires we originally wanted and left the car with them. The car was ready in about two hours. Picking up and patient was super fast as well.
Overall, I'd for sure use this place as our tires shop from now on.
