I really haven’t had a bad experience at Costco until today. For the last few years, everything has been fine. Today, I went to Costco with my husband’s membership card. We share a family membership, and I also have my own card as well. I just couldn’t find at the moment. It was really busy, probably because of the weekend. My husband was parking the car, and I went inside first. At the entrance, a short lady was checking cards. When I swiped my husband’s card, she said, This isn’t you you can’t enter.I explained that my husband was parking the car and he is here. I didn’t want to waste time. But she gave me an eye roll and a lot of attitude. So, I went to customer service to explain the situation. The door lady was talking to a man who looked like a security guard. He has vest like superior something. He came up to me and asked, do you need help? I explained what was going on, but he said, It’s our policy you can’t cross this door. I can wait with you for your husband. I told him i don’t need your help. I can wait by myself..The customer service staff didn’t help either. They didn’t even check my account, my ID, or anything, they just looked at me like I had done something wrong. It felt terrible. It really wasn’t a big deal to wait for my husband, but the way they treated me was awful. I called my husband ,he was still looking for parking, and that same man kept following me, asking can I help you? give me your respect. You can’t go inside, do you need help. I kept wondering, how could he help me if no one even checked my membership or ID on the computer at customer service area. He just kept saying he could wait with me. It was honestly creepy,he followed me the whole time. When my husband finally came, he met that same man, but the guy still didn’t check his ID or membership card. I went straight to the staff office to talk with the manager.

They always have good sales and new stuff. And I always spend more than I'm supposed to. Lol

Didn’t know Costco was running a class system now — I’m out here flashing my Gold Star while the Executive aristocrats waltz in early. Next up: velvet ropes by the rotisserie chickens?

I had a scheduled appointment at 1:23 PM for a tire replacement on my vehicle (2016 BMW X5). Despite my confirmed appointment and timely arrival, my vehicle remained in the parking lot for more than an hour without being serviced. The service tag was still on my car well past the time my tires should have been replaced. I raised my concerns with the onsite manager, but the delay continued, leaving me waiting far beyond a reasonable timeframe. This defeats the purpose of having an appointment system and reflects poorly on the efficiency and customer service standards expected from Costco.

Excellent Costco. Food court is fine. I go all the time and the 1-2 people complaining are delusional or got unlucky. It's a standard, great Costco and the team does a great job here.

I've visited a lot of Costco locations in the Bay Area, but the food court at this one was an absolute mess. The line was unlike anything I'd ever seen—it was so long it was blocking the exit where people get their receipts checked. And after waiting forever, I found out both soda machines were broken! They were only serving canned Coke and Sprite, which meant no diet drinks and no refills. If I had known, I probably would have skipped this location entirely on that day. The rest of the store was great as always, but the food court was a huge letdown.

I avoid this location for their terrible entrance and parking lay out. The car lot entrance needs to be reconfigurated so it's not where customers are exiting the warehouse. Congestion!!!

A nightmare location! (I mean all of them) but this one takes the cake for worst experience and disorganization. Had taken about 20 minutes to check out in self checkout for a few items. Parking lot is basically a war field... of Tesla's and people that can't drive. Go either right when they open, or never go!

Well-run and consistently stocked, this Costco offers surprisingly calm weekday flow. Carts move smoothly in wide aisles, and sample stations rarely obstruct traffic. The food court has covered outdoor seating—ideal for cooling off post-shop with a quick bite. However, parking can feel like a chess match during weekends and early evenings. The store layout is intuitive once familiar, and staff often help with loading larger items. Accessibility includes wheelchair carts and electric scooters by request. Recommend pairing with Marlin Park for an efficient back-to-back errand and unwind combo.

Unlike some of other Costco. This is well balanced in selection and warehouse is always in best shape. You always feel good to be in store. Our go to Costco!

I’ve never had a bad experience at Costco until today. David, the guy working at self check out today constantly yelling at people as if it’s beneath him to be there. Then after I couldn’t hear him scolds me like I’m some child. I get that people have bad days but cmon man, you can’t be that angry with people that have done nothing to you

Costco, please stop educating your customers. When we choose self-checkout, it’s because we prefer to organize and scan items our own way. Today, as soon as I picked up the scanner, a female staff member immediately came over and started telling me—quite condescendingly—that I should scan small items before large ones. I politely said “got it” and continued scanning in the order I preferred. Near the end, a male employee walked over and, in an impatient tone, said, “Weren’t you just told how to scan properly?” I replied, “But I’ve already scanned everything.” He insisted, “We’re teaching you the correct checkout order.” Excuse me? I’m not here for a class—I’m here to shop. Costco, your job is to support customers, not lecture them. Please respect the fact that we pay to be here.

horrible front desk people! Try to buy a membership, but this old white dude just keeps trying to scam me into buying "premium" ones, "you wouldn't loose anything by upgrade", also try to say something like "the only way you can get your store credit is to sign up for auto payment" (he meant membership renew but intentionally made it vague), which is just blatantly lying. Costco is no longer an honest business.

Wholesale store for many household and grocery. You can say all market in one place. Big series of Costco Store located in Bay area silicon valley a gift for a BG person.

I gave it a three-star only because there’s no gasoline station. There’s a lot of parking in the lot toward the opposite end of Costco. They carry the usual products like other Costco.

For tire center. Don’t send your nice car and new wheels here. They got the job done. Replaced 4 new tires. Dented and scratched all of them during installation.

My favorite part of Costco is the food court. The prices are really cheap, and while it kind of matches the quality, it's still great value for lunch or dinner. It is a shame that they removed the indoor seating for the food court, but at least the outdoor seating remains. Costco has many products that I have difficulty finding anywhere else, and in bulk. I enjoy the perk of free samples, so you can test products before you buy them. The service is okay. They have added self-checkout stations which speeds up the checkout process. This is a good improvement, considering how busy this Costco can get. The atmosphere of the store is quite sterile and chaotic. The location is a bit awkward. It is close to the freeway, which makes it rather noisy. There is a bus stop nearby (Metro Center & Vintage Park stop), which is convenient. Overall, 3/5.

Ok, so the hot dog is actually so good, sometimes it is too juicy but overall a great deal $1 for a hot dog 50 cents for a drink. Staff was really nice when I showed them the recipe. I expected to wait like 5 min. so I went to get my drink and I didn't realize my hot dog was already ready but the worker was really patient and waited for me to get my hot dog.

This Costco is smaller, always crowded and the service especially the front door and receipt checker is unfriendly experience. Almost as if they don’t enjoy the job or care to be there I much prefer the other location like South SF.

Best place to shop for your daily household needs. But just remember this is a small Costco compared to other Costco in the area. There are many items that this Costco don't have. They also doesn't carry a lot of items, Especially items that are not as popular as others. I just found out that this Costco doesn't carry Kirkland Blue Agave. What a joke. So if you're looking for particular Items, you might not find it here. but you could talk to the supervisor and they will look up and see if other store carries them. One of the Costco hack, that not many people know about is their roast chicken leg quarters. See Photos below. These Roast chicken leg quarters are from the leftover roast chicken from previous night. They used to breast for the salad and they sell the leg quarters in a package that usually contain seven to eight leg quarters. If you like dark meat, this is the best deal. The best part is that it only cost $4.99. and it weighs more than the roast chicken. If you can't find it in the deli section then someone else must have purchased it. Please don't go bother the deli employees. They will tell you it's been sold out.

Went here 4:30 on a Sunday and boy was this place busy. Parking lot seemed chaotic, especially where the cars enter from the main street and folks crossing to their vehicles. Warehouse seemed well stocked even with how many people were going in and out. Staff was friendly and all seemed pretty cheery! Checkout lanes were managed pretty smoothly and wasn't a back up like normally one would expect. -1 for the parking lot, but everything else A+!

Edit: line out the front door now. Waited 20 minutes for a refund so far and the line isn't moving. Staff called for the 2nd register to open twice and no answer. This is not how I want to spend my Saturday morning.

Friendly and helpful staffs. A typical, well run Costco with efficient service, well stocked shelves and fair prices. Jewelry, electronics, basic clothing, household items, and plenty of food. Parking can be tough because the store is always crowded.

Great selection of wine, whiskey, seafood, meat, vegetables, and fruits. Fast and efficient check-out process, along with a large parking lot. The free nitrogen tire pump has also been very useful. Only wish they hadn’t taken so long in fixing the kitchen for the roasted chicken and ribs!

Definitely be careful about the actual price during checkout to avoid surprises. On top of that, one of the supervisor was very rude and condescending. I ran into a product being mislabeled (wrong item and price). See pic below. The actual checkout price was much higher than the tag displayed on the shelf. I assumed it was an honest mistake of the label, and brought it to the attention to a staff. He was fine, acknowledged the label being wrong and inconsistent with the checkout price, and he brought in the supervisor in order to find out the right price/tag for the item. The supervisor turned out to be extremely rude. Immediately assumed I was trying to claim the lower price, which I assured him that’s not the case. I explained that I just want to find out what the right price is. He also insisted the right price tag was there, and immediately started lecturing: “you need to look carefully next time”, which can easily be disputed with the picture I took about the wrong tag. The earlier staff also didn’t point out any other tag there the first time he verified. Throughout this exchange, he demonstrated extremely negative and condescending tones, super defensive, and blame the whole thing on me not reading the right tag, even after i showed him the picture proving the wrong tag being on the wrong item. It all started with a very minor and innocent action to ask the staff to correct the tag to avoid confusion for other customer like me, and turned into a series of very unpleasant accusations and lecturing.

First time visiting a Costco in America and I can confirm they’re 1000 times better than the ones in Vancouver, Canada. Tons of alcohol choices + the food court has chicken bake. I’ll definitely be back to pick up some items before my trip back home.

Costco Foster City is my first choice for shopping of all the Costco’s on the Peninsula. The Foster City Costco is located in a nice safe area with plenty of parking space, freeway access, and easy shopping. This Costco location feels much more organized and cleaner. The tire center staff are very helpful especially after i had problems with my tire valves. The tire and vehicle battery prices are very competitive.

Very conveniently located near the CA-92 Exit with Wide Selection of products. Only thing they don’t have is Gasoline Station.

Nothing to complain about. A typical, well run Costco with efficient service, well stocked shelves and fair prices. Jewelry, electronics, basic clothing, household items, and plenty of food. Parking can be tough because the store is always crowded. Nowhere to sit except patio furniture area. Bathrooms are clean.

Love the free food tasting and the snack bar. Some seating moved outdoors. Very good return policy and extra year warranty on electronics. Ordered a new pair of glasses. Only $260 with lots of extras. Eye exam in Redwood City store was $55.
