Sims Metal in Stockton is criminal. I operate my own business and this place tainted my relations with 2 partners. I was treated like a criminal and was completely dismissed when trying to explain the situation.
I waited a month to hear back from the small Asian manager who had promised to consult his management to figure out how to move forward with continued attempts to contact by phone no response. With repeated visits I was finally able to hear from another manager that there was nothing they could do and that the material could not be returned because by their policy it had been too long since intake.
Unsurprisingly, previous management was replaced due to issues with theft as well. They must know there’s an issue if employees are leaving 5 star reviews to inflate their ratings
I’ll give effort to the office staff they were nice and it seems they made a genuine attempt to remedy the issue at first but they did not understand the intricacy of the situation and made it clear with their silence and brief emotional slips they were not interested in understanding once the issue was pushed to their upper management. This incompetency has no place in business practices set up to prevent theft and claiming to be for my protection
Waiting in front of scrap metal place on Aurora, it's Saturday 9:00 am but gate is closed two cars inside and a women arguing with someone..... Bad customer service
I took a pickup truck load in and the whole process was confusing.The scale is for both ways in and out.You should have one vehicle inward on scale then the next vehicle is outward and so on.I got cut off going out and no one enforces or cares or knows whats going on.I had a few words with the guy and the worker said I should be next but the guy couldn’t back his big tailer out.Some signs would go a long way
This was the worst place ever i never seen so much disrespect and they rip you off on top of that i wouldnt recomend this place to none of my family or friends and who are these lames say how nice it is there they must be on there knees for them or they work fo the place
I don't agree about giving any stars to this Company due to the Fact they didn't advertise nor Quoted verbally over the Phone about bringing my scrap metal in a vehicle, Then I received the worst Customer service ever when asked for the Management's Contact information, and when doing So; Their Employee had threatened to Beat me up!
I work for a commercial contractor and we have scrap metal on daily basis. Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. And had 3 day hold on scrap metal. Go to Alcoa Recycling off Navy drive in Stockton. Prices are way higher too.
I wish I could rate 0 stars. Worker was a total jerk and accused me of stealing the metal I wanted to recycle. He made jokes and laughed at me claiming I'm not getting a fat check. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They have no idea what they are doing. I highly recommend going to Universal Recycling on El Dorado. They at least know what they are doing and how to test metal without taking 3 days
The worst prices around and Terrible customer service. Wait to get paid on tin!!! Plenty of other options out there instead of dealing with these guys.
