Garbage staff. Security intentionally don't call clients to let in workers and a ridiculous no work even silent before 7am causing a traffic jam literally every morning. Another place trying to copy 4s ranch and failing. That's why people with money live there not here
The staff is genuinely interested in providing the best of service for each of our events (2 per year). From management to staff at various departments, the service is excellent!
Courses in terrible shape. Rough is unplayable, green side bunkers need to be redone, tee boxes uneven, several fairways in poor condition. Practice area behind driving range needs serious work
Great lunch with my pickleball friends. The salmon salad and the brazino salad were very popular. The outside tables by the golf course have a great view. The staff is outstanding.
It’s basically a public golf course!! Too many “members” as there are several tiers of membership offered. So it’s impossible to make tee times. And when you get a time.. the pace of play is a joke. Multiple fights and altercations happen weekly.. Bay Club Management doesn’t know how to run a proper club, so basically all money/numbers driven. STAY away from this place!!
This country club is owned by Bay Club. The Bay Club has two club locations in the SD area, one in Carmel Valley and the other one is this country club. This location offers golf and more expansive areas than the CV location. We came here for a summer party that is open to all BC members. It had bounce houses, activities such as balloons and face painting. It also offered a variety of snacks and drinks. Would definitely come again for other BC parties!
Golf course is great for the amount of play it gets and clubhouse and staff are also great. I've been a member here since 2017 and the amount of new members is probably over 1000 since then. If you want a tee time you have to get up at 6:30 am and race to chose time, they all go in seconds, it no longer feels like a country club. Course is always booked solid 2 weeks out so you can hardly ever make a last minute tee time decision. Back before bringing in so many members tee times were very easy to make. The driving range has also gone down hill, it has way too much usage, new members with family packages will take 3-5 stalls for whole family and be there for hours. If you want fresh grass on range you have to get there in the morning, by noon it is gone. Range balls are horrible, most of the time like hitting stones, when they get new ball in members steal them so they go quick, etiquette is definitely lagging with many members. Back in the day they had fresh fruit at the turn and free snacks but many members fill their bag and take it home so they stopped offering these nice benefits. For 1k per month definitely doesn't feel like a country club anymore, looking at moving to another club at this point.
Trey and Sandi Smith took us to play pickleball at this Club. First off thank you Trey and Sandi. Great place to play and all of the members were super friendly.
Courts were brand new top of the line.
Showers and towels in all of the changing facilities. It was a super hot day in San Diego which was unusual so we all jumped in the pool after playing pickleball. All the folks there were super accommodating. Great Club.

And the taste of beer in club house is fantastic..

Very upscale golf club with great restaurant food. Enjoy having dinner there with my family. Their swimming pools are clean and includes an extra large hot tub.
Got a chance to play with a member and what a beautiful course! Played the ocean and valley course (there are 3 nines). A lot of challenging shots with great views.
love this country club. golf course is beautiful with 27 holes. tennis facilities are recently upgraded although the courts could use more frequent resurfacing
The course is one of the best in San Diego. The Grille has some amazing options for most diets and is ideal for a dinner date. Service is always awesome, Wine menu is great. Would recommend going to dinner for prime rib Sunday.
They were very conscientious throughout the event and their coordinator Rachel was amazing with the layout, planning, and execution. The food was amazing during tasting and the live event (tray passed o'devours/Dinner) and they accommodated all of our needs. The bartenders gladly made our signature drinks with a smile and made sure everyone was in the best 'state of mind' during the event ;-). Ceremony area was absolutely perfect and beautiful while the getting ready areas were spacious enough to get stuff done. (Only recommendation is bringing a personal fan for the ladies locker room because it can be a little muggy and hot while getting ready). We won't post everything included because I'm sure they change frequently but they were very generous for the price. EASY 5/5, best day ever!!!
I don’t play golf but since the Bay Club acquires Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, (and being a member of the Bay Club), I decided to attend a 4th of July event there. It was fantastic, food and many different activities were included with a nice firework show at the end. This show was I think better than the fairgrounds show because of how private it was, and you didn’t have to be in a crowd of hundreds of people. Also the proximity of the fireworks is great, the fairgrounds do not allow such close proximity unless you are in the fair at the time, and even then the fireworks aren’t that close.
beautiful venue in Fairbanks Ranch. Event attended was very nice, but only one bartender for several hundred people. Inadequate. The food was not good at all. It was very Bland and not up to par for such a wonderful establishment. Very generic and almost like cafeteria food. Very disappointed.
Fantastic golf course with incredible greens and meticulously maintained. Great shot values as well. The staff at Fairbanks is first class, especially the head teaching pro, Andree Martin.
