Worst tow company I have dealt with across the lower 48 in my 10 years of moving equipment around this country. They threaten to hold freight hostage. They do not confirm pricing. They do not give receipts. They charge what they want. They are pathetic. They are what makes people have terrible thoughts regarding having to work with tow companies. I have alerted better business regarding this situation.
After a long flight, I found myself stuck at San Diego International Airport with a flat tire, but Spark Towing came to the rescue. The team arrived quickly, acted with incredible professionalism, and got me back on the road in no time.

These guys are a scam . They will post '$74 andup tow then arrive e and claim they said $234.00. They also go by Jasmine Towing and guessing many different names. Tried calling back all the numbers and they hang up. No address or website on their reciepts. Dont let them take advantage while you are in a vulnerable situation.
Needed a jump start in Miramar and Spark Towing was quick to respond. The technician was friendly and professional. It’s comforting to know I have reliable help no matter the time or day.
Worst experience ever. Not sure what they think gives them the right to treat people this way. Scheduled appointment at 2pm. Called them five minutes after 2pm. They told me the appointment was scheduled for a window from 2-2:30. It was not but whatever. They confirmed the driver would be there by 2:30. He wasn't. I called back and they said the driver was trying to call me right then. He wasn't. I called back and they wouldn't pick up the phone. I called five times and they wouldn't pick up. I called them back from a different number. They picked up and put me on hold and never got back on the line. They completely ghosted me so I went home. Then the driver calls hours after I left the site.

I used their services to haul two 8x20 shipping containers from Escondido to El Cajon. I called at 8am and they said they were able to start within an hour and half. I arrived at 9:30am and waited until 10:38am. When the drivers arrived, they were very friendly and worked pretty fast. They moved them without any issues. I’m only knocking a star off the rating bc the person I spoke to on the phone while I was waiting for the drivers to arrive said they’d be there in about 15 minutes and the driver would call when he was 5 minutes out, but it was about an hour total wait from the time I got there until they arrived. But the guys did a great job, I feel like the person who I spoke to should have called and said there was a delay, but it wasn’t a huge deal. I guess the price is pretty fair, seems on par with the other companies I got quotes from. I did greatly appreciate the fact that they could pretty much start immediately and their guys were great. I’ll use them again if I need to move the containers in the future.
They where faster than expected. Was quoted at 1 hour and the tow truck was there in 45 min. Very friendly call center and tow truck driver. Even offered to push my car into my garage.
This scammer just calls real tow truck places, charges you double, and then takes half. Not one towtruck with “spark towing” on it. They tried charging me $175/hr for “2-hours minimum” for a simple job, told me it was because they had to “be careful not to damage the frame.” Called another guy who did it for $150, took 20 min, and he warned me about them. Don’t call sparks, call someone else!!
omg, the receptionist is soooo awfully unfriendly!! I wanted a simple quote for a rough estimate on transferring a small camper for a 15 mile towing. I did not have a complete address for the trailer location, and thus she refused to even give me a figure. How lame is that. taking my biz somewhere else. stay away from them!
Guy The tow driver arrived in a timely fashion, set up the vehicle quick and easy, allowed me to ride in the car with him and I really enjoyed the conversation. Overall great experience!
Martin helped me, excellent customer service, above and beyond. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to shout out how good the service was. He helped me with knowledge of tires, etc, and directed me to a good tire shop. Much appreciated, made the day less stressful.
Service was great I'll use them again if needed! They were quick and got us to the garage faster than fast!!! These dudes are on the ball!!! Their quicker than my roadside!!! Push come to shove i won't mind coming out the pocket to get my stalled car and myself where i need to go!!! Five stars & thumbs up
Charged $134 dollars for a simple jump start. All other tow companies charge around 65-70 (I used to work in the industry so I know). They are deceptive over the phone on pricing, use someone else and save yourself the money.
Great service. Service provider very attentive to our needs. Guy was very helpful. We had to change the location to tow to three times and after calling the insurance they email Guy and he helps relentlessly.
Based on my conversations on the phone with the receptionist I thought I was gonna have a great experience. Scheduled a tow truck to weeks in advance and was adamant and precise that it had to be there for 8 AM on a specific date. I then followed up one week later and also followed up the day prior and was told all was scheduled and driver would be there at 7:45 AM. Well, guess what? Driver was over two hours late and when he arrived told me that he wasn’t even told about this job until the morning of. This was an extremely important job as my movers were showing up with my car inside the trailer and I needed to tow truck there to remove the car. The tow truck driver that did show up finally was amazing and did a fantastic job. The people on the phone were amazing and exceptionally professional and kind, unfortunately though, it was all smoke and mirrors Do not recommend at all
Very happy with the service that James provided. Needed a difficult tow out of a stacked parking garage. This included jumping the car and then pushing it out onto the street in order to get it on the flatbed. James not only was on time but very quick. Once we got to the auto shop he was helpful with processing the next steps.
Do not call Spark Towing! They will rush you over the phone, be very rude, and still charge you if you want to cancel. I called to get a tow because my car broke down, but I had a family event to go to so I didn’t know if I wanted to tow it to the event or tow it to home. I asked the lady on the phone for the different prices for both addresses, but then she told me “sir you need to make up your mind because we can’t keep switching the addresses like this”. How rude and unprofessional! At that point I wanted to cancel, but she told me there would be a $49 cancellation fee. For what! No services have been provided! I asked for an explanation on this cancellation policy but then she hung up on me. Please never call Spark Towing if you need a tow, they will not help you, and still charge you if you end up wanting to cancel.
Waited an hour after setting up a tow, called to confirm they were still coming, they told me 15 minutes, I waited another hour before they finally showed up.
The employees are courteous and know what they’re doing, however I don’t appreciate the inconvenience they put on myself and my mechanic by not being upfront about how busy they were were.
Also, I was originally quoted somewhere in the $80 range, with “special equipment”(a single wheel chalk) it jumped up to $150.
I’d write more about how disappointed I am with the service, but I’ve got better things to do with my time.
Terrible service. T E R R I B L E service. Called at 1pm for a simple car unlocking after I managed to lock my keys, phone, and $200 worth of groceries in my car. I was told that someone would be there in 20-30 minutes....an hour goes by so I call back, to a very hostile phone person who actually hung up on me after finally telling me that the guy said he would be there in 10 minutes....thirty more minutes to by, so I call again. A different phone person tells me again that it will be another 25-35 minutes....forty minutes go by so I call again! Get a new phone person, who, upon me asking about the status of the person who I was told repeatedly was on the way, told me she had just started her shift and there was no record of my placing a request! I was never in the system! She gets ahold of a soccer twenty minutes out and gets him to call me and he tells me he is enough route. When he finally arrived fifteen minutes later he told me he had been on standby the entire time fifteen minutes from me! After making my original call at 1pm, my car wasn't unlocked until 3:30pm.
