Bought a part. After they confirmed they had received payment. They told me they needed another $200. When they were asked up front what my total of everything was going to be that was not added into it. It was an additional fee and when I asked for a refund they gave me a runaround for 4 and 1/2 hours. Then finally agreed to give me my refund but it would be Monday morning before it could be processed because this was a late Saturday night. Then Sunday morning continued to hassle me that they didn't want to give me my refund or they would only give me half back and turned into literally harassments.
Great parts at decent cost, eBay prices are usually with shipping and they try to price match while reducing shipping cost. Other places try to price match with shipping cost.
Called looking for some parts listed online. I asked if they had one of them and they said “no sir” and hung up on me immediately. I had no chance to inquire about other parts. Very rude.
Reached out about an item and was told they have it and to come down to verify. 1hr later, I arrived and was told I needed to buy the entire seat. Thanks for wasting my time. So much for auto recycling and transparency.
They didn't have the exact the part I needed but expected soon. Phone service was great and price quoted was very fair. I'll be going there for both vehicles.

Poor service! You go to the office and just tell you where the car was in big junk yard! They don’t accompany you! I can’t find the car myself. I ended going somewhere else. The guy name is Francisco.. avoid this place
They got the window I needed, got some one to get it for me within 30 min, Wich is good timing, also when I ask for recommendations for installation services they recommended 2 places that where close by and with really good prices

Very unhappy with the service provided by Friday at Dave number three location ,not only did I drive 6 1/2 hours one way!!!!! to get a 4L80E transmission , I was told over the phone that it was out of a van Chevy express with only 60,000 miles on it. It had one owner that only drove it to the farmers market on Sundays to sell his produce. I called early in the morning when they opened and told him I’m on my way coming from Santa Barbara I was already driving for 3 hours . this transmission he did not have ready when I arrived , the forklift driver realized the time I had spent driving and did a amazing job of loading up my transmission to get me back on the road ASAP. He gets 5 stars the forklift driver. Freddy was very rude once I got to his location not giving me a receipt, when I asked , giving me real attitude through out my time at this location, once I got home I rechecked my transmission and verified that the bell housing was not given to me nor the bolts, which were on my core , that they took upon purchase , after I installed the transmission come to find out the transmission was no good and needed to be rebuilt , as a certified ase master mechanic with ten’s of thousands of vehicles under my belt I decided to not waste my time with Freddy and return it to him , not worth my time effort and energy , next time I will not be calling him for a automatic transmission I will just offer a new one to my customers ,
They have parts for latest model cars, from low to high end, great establishment, nice atmosphere, the owners are a family, very polite, kind and genuine people, best junk yard experience you can have with the beat prices possible. Make sure you ask for Alfredo or Ricardo.
Customer service is dead! Called to see about pricing for a windshield he immediately said no we don’t sell windshields and hung up on me . If he would’ve waited one second I had a list of several other items I needed for my vehicle! I definitely won’t be calling this business for any other auto parts needs.

I like the fact that they have lots of Toyota Tacomas that are in my age range. Was easy to find the parts cuz they were right up front. You got to know your Spanish. The guys do speak English so they're very helpful. I could have found the part used online and had it shipped for about the same price but it was convenient cuz I was already in Otay Mesa. Bent over backwards 4 me as I am physically hurting. It Took long time they showed 1 available maybe no good so did not show me the rim. They Found one at other yard 4 me. I am happy with them and Will!! return when healthy.

Spent $1000 on a "good" transmission.
Once it was installed, only 5th gear worked.
Tore it down, all the clutch packs were burnt out, and the transmission DIDNT WORK.
When i called them, they told me im SoL, and i wasted $1000.
Last year they helped me find a part for my old van that was a tricky one to find in working condition and wheels to replace my rusted ones. This year they kindly removed the disability lift from my van which has really opened it up. This place always comes through for me. So grateful, thanks guys and Robert who took the lift out.

Terrible experience, must have been a bad employee. I see theres lots of good reviews for this place but i had a very unprofessional and just bad time. I called and they answer very quickly and then hang up or talk back. Then I just drove to the shop and waited 1 hour for something that was suppose to be “Ready to pick up” I would no recommend this place to none of my friends or family nor anyone I know. I hope the owner sees this review. Thank you

After 27 years working with clients, in my opinion, Dave's is the place. I've been here 4 times.
Its dirty, the counters filthy, the shop abuzz with activity.
There is a huge bull head mounted on the wall.. Says to me, they took bull once, only once.
Those who come here, know what they need.
Every part I have asked for, if they had it/ them, they had me check it first, pulled it of need be, cleaned it , tested it, and dold it to me for half the going rate. I know because i checked.
It was recommended to me by a friend, to go there for some used tires for my son...
Didn't even know that place existed...
Lots of small shops for everything related to cars, mechanics, body work, tires, car for sale, ect.

Highly recommend this place. I shopped around a little before calling them, they were friendly and the part was fairly priced. I went to pick it and they were polite and very helpful both, the guy in the office and the guy who brought the part to my car. Next time I need a part this will definitely be my first call.

I have come to this yard for many different cars throughout the past five years. I have bought a used rear differential for my mustang, a used engine for my tuson and various other parts. They have been very helpful and installed everything at a savings of almost 50% or more. The engine only cost $1000 installed. Used or not it was a deal in my book. They guys are always busy, but that is usually a good sign. They do warranty their work and it has always been great.
