Great place for recycling. They pay well for your recycles, but most importantly the quality of service is great! Handsome gentleman was such help this morning and helping me with a great big smile. I will be coming back here
Efficient operation. When they're not weighing recyclables they'll move some extra buckets in front of your vehicle to assist. If an attendant isn't busy, he / she will start weighing your filled buckets while you're loading others.
It is a pretty busy place with limited, tight parking spaces. When I was there several vehicles were unloading large loads of cans and bottles.
They literally tried to tell me I was doing my addition and multiplication wrong first a tared out the scale and then they still charge me for the weight of the containers . I had 53 lb of glass bottles and the payout was $2.70. Absolute thievery
Rude. Cant park certain ways. Cant throw your trash away. Management treats grown adults like children. Very unprofessional. Only recycling center I've ever been to that treats people like this.
Wednesday mid day visit. First time visit. Trunk was full of plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Easy in / easy out. About 7 cars were unloading. I loaded the closest containers which were provided. Walked right up, no wait, weighed in, and cashed out. About 7 minutes total.
They weighed my cans as plastics and my aluminum as plastics. When I brought it up to the lady at the window she told me " it shows the weight as they weigh it." Completely not understanding that the weights were switched. No matter how hard I tried to explain it to her all she kept saying was "it shows the weight when they weigh it."
Worst place ever. The employee Juan David and the younger guys are the most disrespectful ones to ever work here. He snatches things right out of your hand. I got into an argument with him few months back and other customers were giving me the thumbs up, I wonder why ? That should alone tell you everthing if customers there were also giving me the thumbs up when arguing and telling him to be respectful. I appreciate Alicia for fixing everything and getting us out of there asap. Either way wont be back ever. Never had a pleasant visit anyways.
Anyone else have them keep 0.04/lb of your PLASTIC BOTTLES because you poured the wster out there? They said the droplets mean i didnt get my full amount back. .... because of condensation? Like water doesnt DRY?????
Will never be back. Filing complaint with the state and federal agencies now. They literally charged me for condensation.
****If you pour your liquids out, they will keep .04/ lb of your stuff.

they skimmed me for 40 lbs of 2/0awg bright shiny copper and 20lbs of copper tubing and lowered the price in my copper wire. not pleased at all got ripped off for 2]$200.
Weights were skimped by 15-20 lbs right in front of my face I had 6 water bottle full trash cans and 4 can fulls all crushed easily more than my 75$ usual loads from the past at other places. Should of easily been over a 100$ this time. don't go here literally watched my can weight go from 35lbs to 24lbs then get processed. Unbelievable guess what my total was capped at 76$. Saw that coming a mile away. Do better people, you don't get know where lying.
I was so rushed that i didnt have a chance to make sure of the weight amounts and or to see if all of my material was included on the scales.i feel ripped off and laughed at. Rather than telling me they didnt have the time to help me through and to come back they were showing me how late it was when i tryed to complain. The rush almost caused me to trip and fall down.and for complaining they making me come back to get paid three days later and as far as i know it only applies when recycling copper to make sure its not reported stolen and i didnt have more than 20dollars in copper it mostly was aluminum wich was considered contaminated wich i did have separated it from the non- contaminated. I feel cheated on and all took their part to distract me. NOT THE BEST RECYCLING PLACE NO MORE !!! Used to be!!
Worst trip there, the new younger guys have no respect!!!!! They need to learn customer service. My family has been going there for years. Carlos is always great he's been there since we have been going there. But sadly Carlos, was on his break and left to deal with the younger guys. They even told us to take our business somewhere else!!!! Now where is the management of these guys????
I really like this place. I honestly don't mind the drive across town. The staff are incredibly friendly and I don't think I have had an issue once in 10 years. So long as you have all your stuff sorted ahead of time, you can be in and out in 15 minutes tops, depending on how busy they are.
Like that they have several weigh stations so goes a lot faster. Usually crowded. They really look through your counter plastic for the bar code. Really picky. Most service people are friendly
There used to be a recylcing container near my local Albertsons store. It went away before pandemic lock down. CRV glass, bottles, and cans were building up. Took 111 pounds to Skyline Recycling, first time. Advise not taking crew cab long bed, parking lot is very tight. Back in only spots number about 10. Very busy at 12:30pm on a Wednesday. Staff was polite and probably underpaid especially on hot days. Put glass of diff color in separate red line containers. Cans and plastic in separate yellow lined containers.
This place gets crowded quickly, so get there either early or later in day. If you don't have much, try to park on street if there is a wait and haul 1 or 2 trash cans out and sort all there and drag back in. Obviously, this tip applies if you're more physically able to handle it or only have 1 can to recycle.
If you're new to recycling, you must have everything sorted first. Glass must be sorted by color and you have to have the cans, glass and plastic separately in the cans provided. This lack of knowledge is the main reason for the bottleneck that can occur.
Also, don't be afraid to use the back lot when the front one is crowded rather than wait for space to open. It's actually more open and spacious back there and can be quicker at times. If you have a reasonable driving ability, try to back into the spot as your supposed to. It just makes it easier for you to unload your stuff and leave when done.
Staff was super helpful and friendly! Pricing seems pretty good too. Not a lot of parking but it moves fast so the wait isn't that long. Great place to take recycling!
Always have a positive experience here. The guy with the skull facemask is the one of the nicest people there. They are all cool guys but you can tell he wears a smile 24/7 and that is the type of vibe I look for when I go to a business. Those guys are the face of the business and skyline recycling is by far the best place to go for 10/10 customer service and friendly people.
Second time here, 1st time handicap. Not the best, no one offered to pull the cans apart, every man and women for himself, it is a very rude and selfish world I saw this morning. The person who took my cans was very nice and polite thank you for that.
Reasonable place to take my recycling to. My only issue is no place to park half the time. No matter what day or time this place is always busy. Sometimes you have to wait for a space to open up. The employees always seem friendly enough. I'd bring gloves to use. Filthy and a bit of a smell.
You really need to bring in bulk. They are no clear signs as to what to do but separate your plastics and aluminium and use the bins with yellow stripe for those (separated). The lady at the refund kiosk was super helpful (after I had sought advise from another customer).
Just to note, they only accept the CRV items so if you bring food cans, or plastic containers (shampoo bottles etc) they won’t be accepted.
Friendly place to go to get the job done and I love coming here when I have Chance to get a few bags but it's a great place. I love the people who work here. I know a few people who work here.
