John fixed a transmission problem on my BMW 528i that I spent about $2,500 with other shops trying to resolve. I was at my wit's end. Nobody could figure it out. John and his team were patient, professional, and took their time to isolate the problem and fix it for good. This shop is the real deal if you have a German car. They have the parts, the smarts, and the business end that makes for an excellent shop. They have my highest recommendation!

John took care of me today on a steering shaft for a E39. Shawn and John are awesome, great customer service and lots of parts on hand. I have been using them for many years and will continue to do so. 5 STARS!

Yeah, this place is awesome. I had the task of replacing my media screen on my 2013 model S (for screen leaking glue, common problem) so I called in to get a replacement. Henry was super-knowledgeable about all things Tesla, and even gave me a tutorial on how to replace the touch screen in a model S he was dismantling, and some things to watch out for. Overall saved about $1000 doing it myself, and it wasn't that hard because I had such a good idea of what to do thanks to Henry. I'll definitely be back when I need anything for my Tesla in the future!

The place to visit if you need used parts for a BMW. Excellent prices, way lower than could be found anywhere else. Knowledgeable staff. Convenient location, close to major freeways. Open Monday through Saturday. If you have a BMW -especially a used model, you should give them a call or stop by.

Awesome place to buy all your used BMW parts. Extremely helpful staff, I was asked if I needed help by 5 different people, after I had already been helped. If they don't have the parts you need, you can fill a parts request online, and they will contact as soon as they come in. Great place! I will definitely be back

I own a 2015 Tesla Model S P85D and Henry at Autobahn Dismantling was able to ship me the part i needed for a very great price and in a timely manner. not only was he very helpful but he was also able to provide me with instructions on how to replace the part myself. I definitely recommend him and the company he represents for all of your Tesla needs.

Mike at Autobahn is the real deal. He knows his stuff, is honest about his products from top-to-bottom and shoots straight with what he can deliver. Communication in these types of orders is critical and Mike never once dropped the ball. I'm from Washington State and everything was handled seamlessly with these guys and the delivery of their parts. My 2013 Smart Car is now like new!! UPDATE Just got the seat on my e39 fixed. The dealer wanted $1500 for a seat. AUTOBAHN price was under $250 and they guarantee the work. They will not sell you what won't fix your problem. These dudes are awesome! This is a shop for real mechanics. If you have an idea of what's wrong, they either have the part or know where to get it. Don't go here expecting a prissy little showcase of parts with high prices and attitude. They have racks, and racks of original BMW parts and knowlegeable mechanics that can help fix a problem, but you may have to wait your turn because they stay busy. They ship parts to you if needed via snail mail and Fed EX at reasonable rates. I have had several parts shipped to me in distant locations for less than I could have bought at the local yard and faster than a dealer could respond. The shop web presence does not do them justice. Sean and John are super courteous and so is the rest of the staff. They all drive fix and race BMWs so no matter what you need they probably have it.

They offer quality used parts and fast service. I have saved a TON of money and lots of hassle working with these gentlemen. Very knowledgeable. Will definitely continue to utilize their services!

I hate to love reviews like this, because when you find a business as good as this one, why would you want to popularize a gem when increasingly hard to find parts will only become more so? That aside, Jon, Sean, and crew deserve top marks for doing what they do.

Genuine parts for your car upgrades.

I was departed. While installing my stereo system, I had removed the grid battery cable and then the moment of truth. All done except for reconnecting the ground cable, I heard 'snap' and got a spark. This was a touch the post, not putting it on. I quickly pulled it away, knowing what that sound was. Everyone says I must have hit the wrong terminal. I didn't. After 27 years in the new car dealership SERVICE depts as a service advisor, mechanic, and service manager, I know which cable is which, besides having installed Optima gel cells in this car for last 4 years, it's next to impossible to do. The battery was NOT removed, just the neg. cable. So, what happened after scanning for codes and going over everything to find out a fuse had blown up, and afterward, I had no accelerator, car would start and idle, but that's all. It turned out that the fuel pump relay, joined its relatives too. It controls a lot of things! So we drove over to autobahn dismantling , as they were the only ones to have this relay. The dealer didn't, and it's a common relay with 2 functions, only there is so much more it does, but not documented. So I paid, scooted home, plugged it in, and almost everything was as good as new. Now, for an unanswered question. How does a fuel pump relay for porsche 986's, 911's, etc. Make my passenger side window auto-drop when opening the door, start working? And where did the residual charge come from? Battery was disconnected for over 8 hours? Anyone care to advise? But, Autobahn Dismantling HAD the part at a very real bargin. They made my week! Plus, they're nice guys too.

Very fair place to do business with. Usually have the parts when needed. If the parts are not available, they give the greatest advice on how to obtain. Always willing to help pursue the passion and enjoy the conversations with the guys. Going to add the fact that these guys know their parts. Just ask them. 😎

Flat tire so I picked up a spare tire for a SmarCar this weekend and everything went pretty smoothly. Glad these guys are around. They were pretty friendly. They have used parts for good price and even better if you bring cash. Old school mechanic shop meets bodega setup. Handling used parts and all, gotta remember to bring a rag or hand wipe next time. I will be coming to them next time I have a SmarCar part emergency.

John at Autobahn Dismantling has been taking good care of my 2002 BMW X5 (212K miles) for several years. John had a transmission replaced two years ago. Last week I heard a clank in the transmission area. At my age (73) I don't take chances. I shut the vehicle down and called John for another transmission. He checked his records and said the transmission did not have that many miles on it and thought it was not the transmission. He suggested I take the car to ATS Transmission & Auto Service on India Street in San Diego. I did and sure enough, the transmission was fine. The problem was worn steering control arm bushings.
