El Cajon Location- came here this morning to get my moms car & the lady was super rude and did not have a welcoming attitude. She told me I could wait outside while my dad finished the paperwork. Not okay at all.
I am writing to formally complain about an incident involving my vehicle being towed and the extremely unprofessional behavior of one of your employees named Nick. During this incident, Nick was very rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. His behavior felt racist and discriminatory, and he spoke to me in a threatening manner. I felt intimidated and scared by the way he addressed me, and at one point he threatened me with arrest, which was completely inappropriate and unnecessary. No customer should ever feel unsafe, harassed, or disrespected while dealing with your company. Regardless of the situation, this type of behavior is unacceptable and must be taken seriously
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!! This company might be handy for your towing needs but they also use predatory towing tactics to make money. In public areas, signs must be posted in order for towing companies to legally tow your car away. These signs must be visible and measure at least 17 by 22 inches. If the sign is not visible clearly or smaller than that minimum size, it is likely that the towing company is committing an action known as "predatory towing", which involves attempting to illegally tow vehicles for a profit. This is an illegal activity and should be reported to the police....
The other night at the Marriott in El Cajon that had several tow truck lined up at the parking lot towing cars left and right!
They were working at night and towing all these cars and then not only charging people a towing fee but also charging people an extra $100 for “after hours“ towing even though they were not towing cars after hours.
16-22 people stood in line waiting to retrieve their cars after a 2 hour “towing marathon” at the Marriott. The Marriott signs are covered by trees and also it’s very unclear that it’s private property. they must’ve made about 10 grand that night charging $425 per tow!
We felt so violated and robbed! We had no idea that the property we parked at was private property. The signs were covered with branches (see photo) A friend had her vehicle towed earlier that evening and said they had about 10 tow trucks lined up waiting to tow anyone who didn’t have a Marriott parking pass hauling cars away!!
I had an extremely frustrating experience with this tow company. When I called to get information about my vehicle, the employee I spoke with was very rude and unhelpful. He repeatedly said he “didn’t know” the answers to my questions, provided little to no information, and then hung up on me. That is completely unacceptable customer service. What makes this situation even more upsetting is that I was told that I was allowed to park in that spot and was reassured multiple times that my car would be okay there, yet it was still towed. Between the lack of clear communication and the disrespectful attitude from their employee, this whole situation was handled very poorly. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This company uses predatory business practices to siphon funds from unknowing and vulnerable members of the community. After stealing our vehicle late last night where we pay mortgage and HOA they bullied me into paying an outrageous fee to release the vehicle. Not only did they steal our mode of transportation to and from my wife’s much needed medical appointments the following day but they also stole her wheelchair that was inside. I’ve seen this company creeping through neighborhoods nightly and it’s time to hold them accountable.
Under California Vehicle Code section 22658 the owner of the property which you were towed at legally has to write an authorization form for the towing company AND be present at the property while you’re being towed. If you were not given this authorization form you can take the company to small claims court. I recommend doing this to get your money back. Don’t let this horrible company take your money.
Gina (front street location) is a nasty rude person, clearly miserable and unhappy in life (I can see why). All we wanted to do was simply get our car back after a WRONGFUL TOW from our condo and the entire time she was rude, had an attitude and was telling us to just pay or leave. She also refused to give us ANY information, mind you, I am entitled to the towing report under California Vehicle Code § 22658(l)(1)(C). She needs to know her CVC’s and get a better attitude if she continues to work in customer service. I also sent an email to the main Western Towing company, no response. Ive seen so many other reviews about how they scam and look for cars to tow. We were parked in our PAID SPOT, no need for a permit, and they towed our car at 3 AM. Unethical and unprofessional. Western towing needs to be shut down.
This towing company did not have authorization to tow my vehicle. In a two hour visit to a friend‘s apartment where we had full permission to park in the complex and entered with a gate key They managed to tell my vehicle and charge it after hours fee as well totaling to over $500. This company is a complete thief
Utterly disgraceful. This towing company is the epitome of predatory and shameless. They towed my vehicle from my own residence despite my having a valid parking pass clearly displayed. It’s absolutely outrageous and feels like a blatant cash grab. They show zero respect for the residents and zero regard for fairness. If you want to deal with a company that has absolutely no ethics and will happily tow a legally parked car just to line their pockets, then by all means, call these clowns. Absolutely infuriating and completely unacceptable.
They towed my car claiming it was parked longer than 24 hours. I have to take pictures of when I park everyday as proof. Anyone want a class action suit count me in.
I have a horrible situation happening to me. I have a creepy, perverted roommate who is doing legal evictions, and the manager lady is helping. I’m pretty sure she also reported my car in the fire lane because I’ve seen other people parked in the fire lane for up to an hour and a half and they weren’t towed but it’s OK though because of that tow I got to meet the wonderful sister from another mister lady at the front desk. I forgot her name, I’m sorry love, but you are a wonderful, beautiful woman with gorgeous hair! I just want to say thank you so much for brightening my day. I WAS SO SAD! You put a smile on my face that Ive been able to wear all day. Thank you so much. Just that interaction just gave me so much positivity that I didn’t know I needed and I hope if I get towed again that I get towed by y’all just so that I can see you again Sis and say hi

Terribly ran company. Poor professionalism by every employee and manager here. My car was towed from an apartment complex and was told I could pick it up the next day for 200$. I arrived the next morning and was then told it would be 700$ to take my car and no exceptions or explanations on why. I had no choice but to pay and when I got into my car EVERY SINGLE one of my lights was on in my dash. Ridiculous! My tire is now flat and my engine is having terrible issues. Good luck if your car ends up here :/
This place is horrible. One of the employees was fairly nice to us but the other girl was so rude. People are miserable at their jobs here and like to take it out on people just trying to pick up their vehicle. They also make it impossible to pick your vehicle up. Would it kill you to treat others the way you want to be treated??? Why are you employed at this place if you hate it so much???
Edit: They siphoned our fuel. Tank was nearly full the day it was towed and was nearly empty when we picked it up. Car was scratched and rims were damaged. BEWARE.
The company did not check in with the office, towed a car parked in the same place that wasn't even touching the mark, and made off with a wheelchair for a disabled woman along with her car. I had to walk her into the doctor because her wheelchair was taken. This company will fudge the rules to fill their quota. Beware.
The mark they place on cars can be wiped away. Check your cars daily because they will just place the mark and tow the car if they see it in the same place even if it has been moved. Remove the chalk and do so for others if you see it so they aren't victimized by this company.
I witnessed for the second time a car being damaged by Western towing. They didn't have enough clearance and the top of the jeep rammed into a steel pipe
Pretty much the worst of the worst work here, don’t aexpect a kind phone call. If you get Nina, watch out, she is trouble. 1.7 stars is kind of telling. Thought this was just the bature of the towing business. Nope a lot of towing places get well over 3 stars on google review. To have this many people complain about the people who answer you phones, just shows what kind of people work at this company
I got my trk towed tonight being in Marriott courtyard parking lot. I seen my trk hooked up fri nite 499.00. They towed at least 15 cars. Excessive fees/ rates. Towed 3 miles 10 min tow. But the after hrs guy working the yard was nice and professional deserves a raise. I don't blame the drivers but the rate was extreme.
Truck number 5939, man covered in tattoos needs better training. Not only did he cut me off without turn signals but he tried to follow me. I’m on the clock. Unprofessional. Immature. Probably a danger to the public. What kind of tow man harasses someone like that?
I got warnings from this company on my car and my car was parked in the community parking lots, I gave them a call and guess what? They said they don't know who put it on my vehicle. It happened two times and they say the same thing. They dont know who they pass their flyers to. Be careful they are scammers
Had a western towing truck hook my vehicle ready to be towed away… there’s maintenance in our complex and some of our parking spaces are taken due to storage container in place so I parked in a space where maintenance parks I try to leave before he come in and have asked previously if it was okay with management …which it was okay because residents have a parking permit and supposedly towing is not called unless there’s a report by staff or your not registered resident so I was told… today luckily one of my neighbors was able to call me before unit 43 western towing took it …not knowing what was going on i come out half asleep I told him to unhook my car and he states I’m not taking your car so why is it hooked then ??continues to say I’m speaking to her mind you I’m the owner of the vehicle eventually unhooked the car and leaves so I should be grateful because he didn’t take my car on a complex I live and have permit??? I’ve seen them predatory patrolling but common who is making the call management or western towing?? So grateful for my neighbor after looking at how much it would be for one night it’s crazy …especially with there attitude of shrugging it off and I’m just doing my job here…
I give this a 3 star rating because i have had my car parked out of my spot in previous years, and it was extremely difficult to get it back. This place was pleasant, the gal working the front desk was friendly and polite. Ibviously my husband and i were not thrilled to pay $380 to oick up my car, however they arent the ones that negligantly parked my car in the parking space with no permit in the window. So overall the experience sucked because of my choices, but was perfectly good customer service on their part while getting the car back. Jennifer
Western rowing towed a vehicle from an apartment complex. I called to get my items but they refused saying I needed to have verification from owner of vehicle just to get my things. I got that. Now they say I need her registration and insurance to get my items. Later that same week they towed my brother's friends car from the same apartment complex.Funny thing is the car wasn't in her name and she didn't have verification or a license and they let her take the car out. They play games and I am looking for a lawyer and my brothers friend is going to back me up. Trying to see if it's possible to put a lien on there business.
After picking up my car that was towed. Found my volume button broken and missing the part that broke. Windshield wipers were left on, not sure why they were turned on in the first place. Car was towed and I picked it up under 12hrs later, not sure how they manage to
Absolutely terrible company. They towed my friend's truck early Saturday morning. I called to confirm they towed it and to pick it up and was told I'll be charged $300 for the tow and an additional $180 for after hours pickup. She said she has someone working until 1 at the location where it was towed to but since they are closed on weekends I'll be charged the $180. Ridiculous. Poor business ethics. Should be reported to BBB.
These people are SCAMMERS. I have parked my car outside my friends house for not even 10mins. Their garage was fully open and my car was on a hazard. the guy who towed it was rushing to get it. I got to their office right when my car got dropped off and the lady wasnt even listening to my explanation. She charged me for 365. This is so unacceptable and unreasonable to tow a car with a fully open garage and a hazard on and then charging you for 365 dollars. Total BS. theyre making a living out of this.
Just got off the phone with a western towing representative, and the experience was not to be desired. This company towed my sons vehicle from his apartment building , with our car being parked in its assigned parking space. The apartment personnel accidentally assigned a second tenant to the same parking space. After communication the issue was supposedly resolved and there would be no charges and the car could be picked up no worries right..... not quite. The extremely rude employee named neo (that refused to give his last name) stated he needed registration with my sons name and insurance information. I could comment for an hour or more at this point on policy and responsibility of this company but I'll move on to the facts that I provided my information and all needed information to get the car but if I was not able to do that during my work day, the car would have kept more than the 20 hours it was held. So. If this company and neo thinks that it, they are very wrong. I will be asking in writing for a formal apology, and an ammendment to policy in writing. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and if needed, filing a small claims suit for the loss of my wages today and damage done to the car being towed. Neo, I hope you have a great performance record and this company loves you because you have definitely cost them today and we'll see if the continue to employ extremely rude and wrong employees.
Male tried towing my car at 4am. I woke up and caught him in the middle of hitching the car on. Tried calling him from my balcony and he scurried off. Thankfully I live in a culdesac so was he couldn’t make his exit as swift as I imagined he wanted. Reeked of weed and poor attitude. Towed me because I parked on red and then released my car next to 5 other cars that were parked on red. If he had gotten those I’m sure you guys would have gotten your money! Paid $150 to get it off and he told me I was lucky I didn’t have to pay $400 to get it off the lot. Very condescending but what can I expect from a towing company. Not to mention cash only! This is so there is no documentation of any of the transaction that could be used in court. Scammers that are poor at their job and couldn’t make a successful tow and live off vulnerable people.
damaged my car and when they towed it wouldn’t give me the number of who called to tow it. unbelievably rude customer service. when a guy came by to look at the damage he kept criticizing me for driving a lowered car and was no help. lowered car is not the problem the problem is they don’t teach how to properly tow a lowered car
Dead of the night, taken from own driveway with no notice. No knock on the door. Woke up to a missing vehicle. They claimed "how do we know who it belonged to?" But there were TWO cars in the same driveway; why did they only take 1? No knock on the door and taken while everyone was sleeping. Very professional, Western Towing. Not allowed to view the photos their tow driver took unless you escalate it to court!! Even with basic parking tickets you can view the photo of the alleged violation. This place is shady after. The receptionist is also quite rude and unsympathetic; constantly repeating the same phrase: "you were unauthorized, how do we know who it belonged to? Check your email for the documents I sent!" Rude. Over $400 for less than 12 hours, too. Scammers.
