Needed a Tow on new years night, called AAA and they sent out Angelo’s towing to come pick me up. Carlos came out all aggressive asking for info that does not need to be shown such as registration and whatnot. After complaining and realizing registration does not need to be shown as it does not matter he proceeds to tell me he will drop the car off and meet me at my house. After an hour of waiting for our car to be dropped off, we were notified that they switched drivers, so it went from Carlos to Mario. Took them 2.5 hours to deliver the car AFTER IT WAS TOWED. next day I’m checking my belongings and my YSL cologne was stolen out of my car. This has been the worst experience and after getting my belongings stolen I’m contemplating filing a police report as I took pictures of my console and glove box before leaving my car with them.
I called triple A to get a tow. My car is dead even with new battery. However, I happen to be out of town and the car is at my office. So I'm going to have it taken to the shop for repair. With triple A we authorize a colleague to be the person to deal with locally and all is notated.
when first tow truck arrived it was the wrong type (needed flatbed which was notated with triple A) so that driver had to leave.
next driver shows up. my designee was wrapping up a meeting so he sent his assistant to meet the driver and get him the registration and any other paperwork. in the mean time my designated person arrives. the driver looks at his license and says "hold on".
he walks off talking on the phone. when he comes back he tells my colleague that the tow has been cancelled. when asked why he says he had to wait too long.
so i call Angelo's towing to see why it was cancelled and he says they waited too long and that they are busy on Mondays. I said well the driver is still there so he is technically able to still load the truck.
Angelo and I continued to argue for more time than it would've taken to loan the car. I asked if this is how he typically treats customers, asked if he's ever not been exactly on time to a tow, etc. All he could reply with was it was bad communication.
He was not concerned at all with handling things professionally or courteously. I called Triple A and registered a formal complaint also.
If you're calling Triple A for a tow make sure to reference this experience so that you can end up with a better company. These guys are too busy for you!

I’ve had a lot of experience with towing companies in San Diego, from predatory practices, average, and above and beyond- but I have never experienced the level of care that put my trust in towing companies as I did with Angelo’s Towing. Particularly, with their operator specialist Arn. Not only was he honest and kind in helping me, but he put in a lot of extra work to help me get my inoperable vehicle onto a tow bed with the front driveshaft engaged without any damage and without complaining- he had a positive and friendly attitude the entire time which really made me feel like my car was in good hands. He did not make me feel bad or tell me what I should have done, but was understanding and gave me helpful/invaluable advice for dismount. Especially as a young woman, I am pleasantly surprised to be treated equally and at the top of my intelligence for any service regarding cars.
