Carlsbad auto is amazing!! I vacation in Carlsbad once a year and I’ve taken my car to them twice. They do such good work, are kind, and communicative. Jen and Kiara were the two main representatives I spoke to and they are the best! They both explained things clearly and very obviously know what they’re doing and talking about. They also went above and beyond helping me to make sure I got back home in time and made sure I was happy with the results. I had to get my transmission replaced there and they found that I had 6 bolts missing in my transmission from when I got my engine replaced at a Kia dealership! They went above and beyond to find the bolts and guides so that I would be safe to drive my vehicle all the way back home to Utah. They also have a very thorough note taking/ form process that made it very helpful when I needed to show the Kia dealership that changed my engine how badly they messed up. Carlsbad Auto stands by their work, have excellent customer service, and have saved me in quite a few unique predicaments.

Trustworthy service. I found Carlsbad Auto after constantly receiving exorbitant repair bills from another mechanic. Carlsbad Auto does not recommend services you don’t need. It’s a relief to have found them and feel confident you’re getting fair prices and service. . I won’t go anywhere else for my car.
I was desperate to have my Lexus RX450h 12V battery replaced and they were able to work me in on short notice. First time customer. Seemed like a straight up set of people. I recommend these guys.

My Corolla’s AC stopped working and it’s the middle of the Summer (oh no!)
Tried booking an appointment online but the website wasn’t being cooperative when trying to select what type of service.
Called the service line to book an appointment, but after waiting on hold for so long, the cheery hold music became infuriating.
Good thing I work right next to this place! So i walk over to book an appointment but they won’t allow me to book it in person. They just made me call the same phone number. So i waited on hold again, but after another extended wait i gave up.
I just want to overpay for AC service so I don’t melt in my super reliable 2010 Corolla. I’m regretting my recent Sienna purchase as well in case that inevitably needs service.

This place is the best. They do good work, are accommodating and flexible, and everyone who works here is lovely. We have taken multiple cars here, and we always feel they communicate transparently and honestly about what needs to be done. Highly recommend!

Fast, reputable, knowledgeable and courteous. Needed oil change for a 2016 XJ L P4. Would have been 450 at the dealer and 350 at Carlsbad British cars. Ridiculous expense for labor alone to change oil and filter. CB Auto put my mind at ease and informed me of everything they looked or touched for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Had an awesome experience at Carlsbad Auto! Everyone was so helpful and professional. Was able to diagnose and repair my truck in two days. Which North County Ford couldn’t do in two weeks. I’ll be taking my truck to Carlsbad Auto Service for now on.

Amazing experience!! Very trusting, transparent, kind, thorough, professional. Mike took the time to explain what was wrong with my car and sent a very detailed inspection report via text that was even color coded with high priority vs. low priority repairs. Intermittent start, likely the starter, said the previous mechanic. I took it to C.A.S., and they worked for a week diagnosing the problem. Turned out it was the fuel pump relay. They saved me ~$900.

I came to Carlsbad Auto Shop for a second opinion after receiving an unreasonably high quote elsewhere, with no clear explanation or evidence of why the work was necessary. Carlsbad Auto Shop was able to take me in the same day and provided detailed photos and videos of the actual issues with my car. They even ranked the repairs by priority, helping me understand what needed to be addressed first. Their thoroughness and transparency earned my trust! Throughout the process, they kept me updated, offered a fair price, and delivered a quick turnaround. I’ll definitely be returning for all my future auto needs!
The most exhaustive inspection report that I’ve ever seen. I even took their inspection report to the dealer (had to use the dealer for a warranty issue). I had my oil changed and front brake pads replaced. Excellent service and timely done. On top of that, I was having an issue with my engine while I was out of town and they walked me through how to Band-Aid it in order to get home safely. On a federal holiday! Above and beyond :)
Took my Acura in for a banging noise from the right rear, every time I went over a bump. The shocks needed to be replaced. They used OEM replacement parts, road tested the car and had the car back to me the same day. This was my first time to use this shop and I was pleased with the front office and their work. Good reviews from other users and I would recommend them.

Have came here last few times for oil changes and maintenance, never had a problem with anything mechanical but multiple times I have been quoted ridiculous prices for minor problems. For example, my coolant overflow reservoir had a crack and they quoted me $500 for a $75 part and to remove the overflow line and replace it. I just replaced my fuel filter with them a year ago, now 12000 miles later they recommend me replace it again, and they quoted me $100 for an oil change only to charge me $120 upon arrival. They are always friendly; however too many cases of situations like this.
First time customer, got my Subaru CVT transmission serviced. They did a very good job as my vehicle now accelerates faster/smoother. Shop is clean and well organized and the work was completed on time.
Had all the hundred thousand mile things done, changed all the fluids new spark plugs, new timing belt. Added some rear brakes and an alignment it was a ton of work. All excellently done. Will be coming back to. Carlsbad Auto service
Carlsbad Auto Service is the best! My buddy recommended and I couldn't be happier. They are super friendly and their repair work is excellent. They have a good reputation around town. It's an easy choice to have future car repairs done by them.
Highly recommend. Easy to schedule on their online platform. Quick in/out experience. Excellent customer service. Staff were very kind, helpful and communicative. Spent way more than I intended as there were additional concerns separate of my original issue. But Carlsbad Auto (Mike specifically) provided clear recommendations with pictures that reflected safety concerns and transparent pricing that supported my decision making process (vs other experiences and mechanics stigma, where I may have felt pressured, swindled).
I honestly couldn't say enough good things about this mechanic shop. They took such good care of me and saved me thousands of dollars. I came in to get a vehicle inspected. Their mechanics were incredably thorough and made sure to check every single square inch of this vehicle. They told me everything that was wrong with the car and what to expect in the future in terms of maintenance. They sent me a link to the inspection that included pictures and all the details of the inspection. When the dealership tried to lie and say there was nothing wrong with the car, I called Mike back and he gave me amazing advice on what I should do. If I would have bought the vehicle, I would have to pay thousands of dollars right after spending a ton on the purchase alone. Carlsbad Auto Service is honest and will give you the best customer service you will ever receive from a mechanic shop.
