Been coming here for years. I always try to come on a weekday because the weekends are very busy. It's very clean considering all the sticky soda and bottles everywhere.
McCoy Recycling is a family-owned recycling facility. Very clean, nice setup. Have been taking CRV bottles and cans there for many years. If you have a lot and have space to collect them, then they pay by the pound. My family is much smaller now, so if you have no more than 50 CRV items of each kind, you can ask to be paid by the count and receive 5 or 10 cents per item (what you paid when you bought the product). Wednesday's are very busy because it's senior day. They do also take other metal items. Check their website or their Facebook page for more details.
I had been looking for a recycling center that's honest, friendly, I've seen them stop what they were doing just to help out a customer without the customer even asking... My Husky goes everywhere with me and he now has a friend there my pup will jump out of my car to look for him and this guy is so friendly to him... I can't see myself going anywhere else.. update 6 months later my husky now knows everyone there he gets really excited when he sees all his friends there super sure to see a different response to each of his friends there... I still love the honesty here they are always busy but don't let that scare you from coming by because they are so well organized that you are in and out really fast if u need help you won't have a problem finding it because the have enough employees to help. They have plenty of parking, plenty of bins, signs everywhere about what recycling, I've never found a better place than here..
I was in your facility a couple days ago. and the person who took my cans was vey. rude and. when I go there some men are so nice and explain things and all I wanted was the plastic he didn,t take back and he gave me an attitude I. will find somewhere else to go cause You know there are alot of facility around
I have brought my son to this location for at least three or four years to recycle bottles as a means for him to learn the importance of recycling and earn money for video games and other treats. About a year ago we had an issue with the unprofessionalism and disrespectful attitudes of staff as it relates to the discrepancies about the closing times listed online versus onsite. I believe the closing time discrepancies have been rectified but unfortunately not the poor attitudes and lack of professionalism of staff members. Today, I was absolutely taken aback by the unnecessarily nasty attitude of the woman who cashes the recycling receipts. Apparently there was a policy change that prevents my son from cashing his own recycling receipts but instead of kindly stating that, this woman turned my child away and when I asked what had changed, since my son did nothing different than he had for years prior, instead of answering my question, she responded with questions herself as well as condescending, combative and outright rude responses...all in front of my confused and disappointed child. I was livid! I ended up calling the company main line while standing at the window because she refused to get a manager when I asked. I was able to reach the owner who just so happened to be on site so I asked if he would come speak with me in person. He and his site manager came as well. They displayed the level of professionalism one would expect in a business interaction and promised to handle the situation with the staff member following my complaint. However their disposition toward me lacked genuine care or concern, and even felt like disdain. Afterward, the manager, although professional, handled me in a policing manner, not in a way that made me feel like my son and I were valued as customers. This interaction escalated to an unnecessarily hostile level and could have been prevented if the disrespectful woman had kindness and at minimum customer service skills. What was supposed to be a quick trip to recycle so my child could buy a video game, left both me and him with negative feelings and regret for patronizing this establishment. It sucks to find out you are not respected, valued or wanted at a place you've spent years patronizing.
McCoy Recycling: A Clean and Efficient Experience. McCoy Recycling was a breeze to deal with. The facility was incredibly clean, and the staff was very helpful and efficient. The process was quick and easy, and I was impressed with the prices they offered for my recyclables. Highly recommend!
Well overall it is a good place to turn in your scap metals.FOR HMS STEEL THEY pay ~18% more than the big place in Ontario near HOLT and campus.however I have had on an occasion more than once when I have painstakingly removed all metal screws from the brass and the brass is a clean manner but it may have a Piece that has corrosion on it and that one PC. Has a total weight of maybe 10% of all the clean BRASS AND WITHOUT informing me will rate the entire lot as CONTAMINATED BRASS and the price per pound paid will drop ~ 75%. Upon reviewing my receipt it stated contaminated brass $.21/lb. 11 lbs of brass =$2.31 vs.$1.20 lb x 10lbs =$12.0 + 1lb x$.21 =$.21 so I believe the legitimate total should be$12.21 VS. $2.31 .SO FOR EXAMPLE WHEN YOUR TOTAL RECEIPT (INCLUDING OTHER MATERIALS AND CRV CONTAINERS )COMES TO A GRAND TOTAL OF$36 I HAVE LOST 1/3 OR 33% OF MY INCOME ON THAT DAY.IT FRUSTRATES ME THAT IT IS DONE WITHOUT INFORMING ME BECAUSE I FORGOT TO REMOVE AND SEPERATE THAT ONE PC. OF BRASS THEY WILL NOT INFORM ME TO JUST REMOVE IT .THEY ARE AWARE OF MY MAIN INTENTION IS TO MAKE MONEY NOT JUST TURN IT IN TO GET RID OF IT NO MATTER WHAT I AM PAID.I AM AFRAID OF THE ACTION THEY MAY TAKE IF I COMPLAIN ANOUT THIS SITUATION.IM OLD SCHOOL AND STILL DO NOT REALIZE THAT I CAN EXPRESS MY SITUATION WITH customer review. I scrap all types of material at McCoy's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have helped me figure out what material was what, and how to sort it.
The best thing about McCoy's is their integrity! They honestly care about their customers and getting them what they deserve. In the rare case they make a mistake, they are quick to catch it, and rectify it.
Brought in a bag of plastic bottles that had been sitting outside for a while. When I took them to get weighed, the gentleman informs me that these are old bottles, and I would have to separate them into piles of labled and not labeled. Mind you, they were all 2 liter and 16.9oz bottles. Needing to get to work (was making a quick stop before work), I was informed I would be given scrap price. So, instead of getting my $1.xx per pound for my 13 pounds or plastic bottles, I received $0.13 for my recyclables.

Half of my scrap was paid by check, but it was lost in the mail. After several months I inquired, and a new check was promptly issued (with no hassle). Thank you Jessica (and her boss). May 2024.

Definitely more than 5 stars in my book. I have been taking my recyclable items to Mc Coy Recycling for almost 10 years. Even though I live more than 50 miles away now, I always put my recyclable items in my car and make a stop at Mc Coy Recycling. Very clean facility. Very nice, professional employees. VERY HONEST!!
Probably the last honest recycling location left in the county. Professional staff, organized and clean establishment. If your going anywhere else to scrap your metals and recyclables you are likely not getting your full amount of cash that you should be getting. Not even exaggerating. Come here and you'll see you'll be getting more cash for your metals. Do yourself a favor, less work, in and out quick and leave feel treated fairly. Appreciate you guys.
This place is so good and this my first time to sell aluminum but some they are mix which is like a big machine but they have some part are steal and some they are 100% aluminum but I wasn’t know and there is a staff he names Gary he really kind and patient to help us to separate and sell them he so kind
We only go here for our recycling! Compared to previous locations, McCoy recycling is exponentially quieter and faster. We’re in and out in 5 min with 2 full trash bags of cans and bottles and we aren’t damaging our ears in the process from all the noise! Even when it’s busy it only takes 10-15 max to get out of there. Whole process is safe and easy and couldn’t recommend it more!
The closing time should state the time that the gate closes to public instead of stating a time and then adding wording on the bottom saying that they close the gates to public 15 minutes before the closing time stated above for people to calculate sorting time. This create confusion and unhappy customers waiting with their cars on line outside of the gate.

Edit :july 2021 now that the temperature are high 85 up to 100 ish outside they added a water mist through the waiting line
Finally a place that's HONEST and transparent about everything. They will take all your recycle by count up to 50 of each kind and each size : plastic and alunium ( past that it goes by weight ) . They will give you a receipt with the exact weight and price . Everything is clearly stated and easy to understand. The place moves fairly fast . The parking is easy . They stayed open during covid and made sure to leave 6 ft distance between the cars . The foor is clearly marked. The staff is always helpful .never had an issue . While the price per pound is always changing by few cents the prices per pound are fair . Don't count on scap glass to get you anything back . Those wine bottle will barely get you a few penny if that but there isnt crv on them so fair enough .i strongly recommend this place its not like those machine that scan the bottle and get jammed. Everything is done and counted by a human. They have added hand sanitizer where you go exchange your ticket for cash . this place run smooth ,people are helpful .no one ever been rude . On the week end there is a long line ( outside) but it can't be help in order to stay safe they limit the number people in which i am thankful for . You guys are doing a great job thank you
If the gates closes at 16:15 then the company shouldn’t put 16:30 as closing time for the location, the employees are nice and helpful here but the closing time is 15 minutes earlier than whatever they listed on the sign and website.
Have been there couple of times. Quick service and reasonable pricing for the scrap. They buy almost everything. They have separate cart for all the different types of scrap. I used to go other places for recycle and used to be get paid less than $3 over here I always get paid more than $6 for same size of scrap. Really like there service.
Great prices, and easy place to work around with plenty of parking. They recycle almost anything. They probably take your old lady if she had a few screws loose.
Clean, socially distanced. They were out of hand sanitizer, so be sure to bring your own (I do), I also bring disposable gloves. It was not crowded this morning and the staff was nice. A good start to a busy, hot day.
My regular recycling center closed and I’d already loaded up the car. Remembered driving by last week, checked online and went here. It was great. Easy access, friendly employees and quickly in and out! Definitely coming back! My new recycle headquarters!!!
First time going there today and it was great! I was surprised at how clean and organized everything was. Helpful staff and I was in and out in no time. Great service and fair payout. I will only go there from now on.
