I was attending at Sherman Indian Boarding HS from 2006-2010. My Sophomore year the track Team & cross country of my school were competing against this school and I was the record keeper for Extra credit for math class. The boys there were very nice and well mannered. I noticed there were only Boys and found out it was a only boys school and that explains why they were so girl crazy when they seen my sister and I ? but I can say they were very polite flirting in a respectful way. My sister was boy crazy as well so she walked off with some handsome boy and as she came back my sister had bruising on her neck LOL. Those High School days of so called love ❤️ ? I talked with one boy very very handsome. They were all dressed in light Grey sweatpants and pullover. I cannot remember the names of the boys but if u see this and remember us, I do hope your life journey was very blessed and walked a straight positive/happy path. And sorry for not writing you. I lost the paper you had given me with the address but i did remember ur school number and we talked that night lol. Omg this was definitely old school contacting with one another. I was at Boys Republic from 2004 to 2008 I started of in hunt cottage did ok got transferred to Santa Ana Residence it didn’t work out there for me so I ended up back at main campus went to Fowler cottage that didn’t work out and ended up getting one more opportunity so I stayed in laws cottage thanks to BR for not giving up on me I ended up graduating I ended up going to the Boone house which is a emancipation home To teach you how to live on your own and how to manage your money. I really appreciate Boys Republic for everything they’ve taught me they were amazing .
I was in fowler cottage for 3 years, then I went to boys republic in silverlake. I played basketball and served on student government. I am a acrombie Allen recipient and I blue booked. Vsean arrington
I stayed in BR for almost 5 years from silver lake to Chino 97 to 2001 but I loved Chino cause I was one of the 1st to be in the emancipation program and go to Ayala High School right next door it was 7 of us in that house and we had fun thought me alot tho memories
My son went here for almost a year
Age 15/16.
He didn’t belong there
He hadn’t committed any crimes
The law is sometimes evil
He came out a different kid
Not in a good way
Staff came off unhelpful in regards to the kids
Incapable of help the children
One female staff was having relations with one of the teens
He is now a good man with a family due to his family love
I attended Boys Republic 2013 finished with a GED later on that year was given a scholarship. Also was part of the basketball team. Proud to be apart of it ( Hunt )
I was there in 1968-1969, Brewer cottage and I went AWOL and when I returned was placed in Fowler cottage were I became a Councilman and graduated with a 3.9 avg. It helped turn my life around!!!!

I graduated from here back in 2007. I was the mayor and I left with my blue book and hs diploma and GED. Fowler Cottage was #1 Sheila, Mark, Jonell, Preston, Edder. I attended the 100th year anniversary as mayor and I did the pledge of allegiance. I also got a Terry McQueen scholarship. So thankful for the experience and accomplishments at Boy Republic. Thank You and this place will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for everything.
I went to this place on 2008 09 it was a great experience i learn alot of things catch up with my credits..i was in brewer cottage great for boys to go and learn how to prepared themselves from the struggle in life
I love this place.. My brother has been here two times .. He shouldn't have left in the first place .. He got his blue book and went back home .. He trying going to boys Republic in Monrovia that was a horrible idea.. I don't like anything they did there from school work to group sessions and staff members.. I'm glad my brother's back in boys republic in Chino Hills.. the staff actually works with the kids .. they give him jobs and pay them.. the school is awesome.. and It really has to do with the kid and how much they really want to change with attitude and life skills that they give the staff.. If they give 100% they will succeed in life at boy republic .. Boys republic also give scholarships to kids that show all their effort in Boy republic to motivate them to go to college.. Its also Nice and Clean ... I Love Boys Republic but not just anyone Chino Hills..
I spent a full year and a half there! I was able to catch up on my credits for my senior year, and learned many things about myself that I didn't think anyone cared about! I found friendships there that changed my life! The couselors, staff, and education I received was exactly what I needed to send me on the right path! 88" to 89" Hunt Cottage was #1 the entire time!
I thought this was a great program until I found out that the staff there is not trained properly they get in their feelings when a young adult dislikes them and they hold grudges not to mention they are willing to let other parents meet with a minor with out the minors parent being present
