I needed some copper for a project so I stopped by this place the other day they offer good pricing on lots of metals. It was fast and easy def would recommend.
I take hundreds of pounds of copper to this yard every week. I called them and asked if they could stay open for 5 minutes longer which would of put me there at 425 and they said no even though online it say they close at 430pm. They just lost a customer. I know 1 customer big deal to them, there pockets won't feel it. If anyone knows a place where I can take at least 450 pounds of copper a month and get a decent price ld appreciate it.
A1 is an honest and fair recycler. I have been scraping all my metal here for nearly 20 years. They have always been fair with their prices. Their staff is extremely helpful and friendly. If they help you sort your scrap. It’s a dirty job, Give em a tip
Sent my Son there with bronze, dirty aluminum and clean aluminum. He asked for 2 bins to separate the aluminum and the worker told him to put all of the aluminum in one bin and then only paid dirty price for it. When I called they said he should have asked for more bins when I told him he did they did not respond and would not adjust the pricing. Bad business to cheat people. Will not go back.
Great place, I have only been going here for a couple of months but I wish I had known about them sooner. Over an hour round trip for me but well worth it.
It has been 3 years since I first left this review and just wanted to update it is still a great place. It's the only place I have gone to for the last 6 years.
And in short, they steal both at the price and in kilograms. Well, when you try to check the scales or check the container, it throws up such a scandal that you are not glad that you came here
Just did business with A-1 yesterday, and was very pleased. After calling 15 other spots no one could compete with A-1 on pricing.. Office staff came out to the truck and looked over the material. Yard staff brought a hopper right to the tailgate.. Will gladly do business here over and over..
I've been coming here for a long time with no complaints but I have been here several times over the last cpl years and there are a few random screws or nails scattered on the ground where you have to drive through. Recycling is definitely not worth getting a flat over. Otherwise I would give 5 stars
Employees were great help. Remove everything from my truck. Until you get to the office.
Office girl and boy are very rude. Price levels are very poor. They offer the lowest payout in Sacramento. Highly suggest you go somewhere else.
The yard guys are great. The cashier has the snarly attitude that everyone is trying to rip her off. Took in about 125 - 150 pounds of steel; they said, "We quit buying steel, but you can GIVE it to us." Sure I'll give you something YOU are going to SELL without paying me for it 100%, profit how cool for you. My last trip there. Found another place that BUYS steel and pays more for CRV cans too. So "A-1" is now demoted to "Z-0"
My dad brought me here over 10 years ago and ive never went anywhere else. The crew is professional and quick to help. Never had a bad experience. Same badass women cashier since the beginning.
Best place to go for the best experience and price. The employees are kind and helpful. They have excellent customer service. I got in and out quickly.
Just went there today for the first. The staff were extremely rude. So rude, I decided to just load back up all my copper and aluminum and go somewhere else. Never going back there and will definitely go back to Sims Metal Management from now on. At least they treat their customers common courtesy and respect.
The folks here get you in and out pretty quick. If you need help to unload your vehicle, there's always plenty of help. But the most important thing is that they're honest and don't try to screw you over. This is the only place that I take my recyclables to.
