Friendly yard guys, quick and precise. Helpful if your metal is mixed up! The Office staff is friendly and professional.

I recently used this recycling center to drop off a variety of glass bottles and jars. The service was exceptional—staff were courteous and quickly handled the items. The process was easy, and I was given a fair payout for my recyclables. The quality of service stood out because they not only made the process efficient but also ensured that everything was sorted for optimal recycling. The value was definitely worth it, and it’s great to see a business committed to both sustainability and excellent customer service.

Does not accept aluminum cans or plastic bottles. These other reviews are misleading.

Sharing in case others who don't go often are wondering how it works. Recycling aluminum cans (and I saw others doing plastic and glass the same way): You drive in through the gate and there are about a half dozen parking spots on the left. Pull in and grab one of the big round garbage cans they provide. Dump your cans into it (you have to sort glass, plastic and aluminum into separate big cans) then drag it over to the scale. Someone there takes the can and weighs it and gives you a receipt. You take the receipt and your id over into the building directly opposite the parking spots and the cashier gives you cash. Easy peasy, especially if your stuff is already sorted.

In an effort to save time, they do sometimes make shortcuts. If you go there regularly, however, you'll notice that this sometimes means you end up with less than it's worth in the full breakdown. But, sometimes you end up with more, so it's worth it over time. Try not to bring more than five differently priced items. For example, if you bring dirty cast aluminum and clean extruded, they might weigh it all together and give you a medium range sheet aluminum price. It's not perfect, but if they're saving time, so are you. They also like to price all ferrous metals as cheap scrap tin, so if you have cast iron or stainless steel, be sure to point it out to them to get the fairly price. Also, make sure you read the receipt before walking too far away, as mistakes happen. On the other hand, their own haste costs them too. They don't magnet test as far as I've seen, so some of your dirty stuff will be overlooked if it's in a bucket with the clean. They don't scrutinize dirty wire too closely, so it all looks like insulated copper wire, even if there's some aluminum wire in the mix.

This was only my second time going here. It was very busy and there was only about half a dozen parking spots where you sort the cans so I had to wait for a spot. The price per pound is not posted. Only that there is a 2% fee on plastic due to moisture.

Their process is always quick and easy. However, we drove all the way across town, only to be turned away despite arriving half an hour before closing. The advertised closing time is 4:30pm, yet they denied anymore sellers before that.

They're great! Boom boom boom & your done. Of course it helps to be organized first. We have our stuff separates before we go. Dump, weigh, ticket, & paid. I've been to a few other places. To me they're the best.

Only Problem is getting in when they open, parking entrance nightmare if they're busy, other than that, Great Customer Service. Good Location and Fair Prices. I got about $30 for filling about 6 of their recycling containers with plastic bottles, half a container with aluminum cans and a 6 pack of beer bottles. Service was fast and professional. Place was clean for a recycling plant. I definitely recommend compared to other recycling places.

A frustrating and awkward experience. There were a couple nice employees, and maybe the experience with cans and plastics is better than other places, but I was trying to dispose of medical grade steel, aluminum blocks and copper wiring. I thought I would get compensated for it, and after finally placing everything on their crate to weigh (which was very greasy and dirty) they took a quick look at it and basically said it was worthless. They said I could get "a couple dollars" for it but that it wasn't worth that time, and to let them know when I was coming next time to talk through things with them and get paid, which was a very awkward thing to say in my opinion. However they were going to dispose of this delivery this time anyway. I wasn't going to put the items back in my car since they were dirty and greasy from the crate, and they didn't want to pay me for my items and basically shooed me away. I guess they got a free donation and I hope they dispose of the items well, but if you are looking to get money for something valuable, this is not the place. At least from my experience.

This place is great! We've been going to Farmers' Country Market and it's awful compared to here. TKO pays way more, much faster & less crowded. Definitely our new recycling center. Keep it up guys!

Best recycling place within 30 miles. Every single other recycling center around is shady, cheats you out of your full entitlement, is very rude, disorganized, and very dirty. TKO is very exceptional and the only place that I will be recycling.

One of the best recycling centers I have been to. Fast, Efficient, and Good customer service. They have mastered the art of recycling. They also have great hours! Hard finding a place open on Sundays.

Best place for recycling as a non business. The guy who was doing the weighing before was a solid dude. New folks seem to be getting the hang of it and the office lady is always very nice and quick. Never a bad experience here.

~*WARNING*~ If I could rate this place a zero I would!!!! After 2 days of hard work at home which includes removal of an older cast iron engine I googled, "who pays the most for recycling", at the top of the list was tko recycling. I called and the answering messege said they dont give rates over the phone. Decided to go there anyways since it popped up on google. After unloading the engine and everything else, I find out they only pay half a cent per pound. Everywhere else pays, 3-4-6 cents a pound. Plus I brought my business license and they couldnt find it in their system (never had a problem anywhere else) now i have to wait 3 days for a meesly $45.00. This is the worst place ever. Very bad business!!!

I used to bring in 4 bags of 25 bottles totalling 100 bottles which they told me I could bring in and get the full 5¢ deposit back in full. However I tried to take in 4bags of 25 last week or the week before. After waiting 20 minutes on the prior people in the line and the guy doing the counting and weighing looked at me many times it's my turn I go up and us told we can't do it any more. I go into the office to talk to the cashier she says I'll have to talk to management. I noticed a sign inside that they will not pay less than $5 for any recycling which is 100 BOTTLES. I read on their website you can count up to 50 but they won't pay any less than $5. ???????? So does anyone know where to turn in and collect my 5¢ for every deposit I pay. It states in the state RECYCLING info it's a cash deposit that you will get back when turned in for RECYCLING. ????? THANKS

I did not get what i expected for bare bright copper here. Most likely won't be dealing with this place again. Definitely a one star place. If you know any place in Sacramento you can get a decent amount for bare copper. Please let me know. Thanks

I went there with a friend both of us over 50 and females . We had over a 140.00 bucks in recycles that's whole lot both men working that day ( Sunday afternoon) where so helpful one helped us get it done in half the time ! Can we give them a raise !

Very pleased with the process here. I came in for the first time because the awful place by Costco had shut down for good, it seemed. Work needed that I recycle our cans and bottles though, and this was the next closest place. I have to say, the people here are all very friendly, the people who help with recycling as well as the cashier. They explain their process and have a nice, open, permanent facility to do it in. It's a lot less stressful coming to a place like this than a garbage trailer outside a shopping mart because you feel less pressured to hurry up. I will definitely be coming back here again, as well as recommending this place to friends and family since it seems like so many recycling locations are shutting down.

Not very pleased with their process of having at least 300 pounds of metal before they pay out. Don't waste your time unless it is strictly for discard purposes only. If you have metal/or aluminum with value and expecting money DO NOT BRING IT HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE OVER 300 POUNDS! I had 75 pounds of metal which netted me $0.00.
