Shannon family auto is one of the most professional shops I’ve ever taken my car to. They are obsessive about quality and customer experience. Cameron who answered the phone when I initially called became my main point of contact throughout the service. He was extremely courteous and transparent about all of the work that would be performed on my vehicle. He was clear about the price and when my vehicle would be finished, also about when he would contact me next. Cameron made the whole process seamless. I intend to put 500,000 miles on my LEXUS LX 470 and I’m so happy that I found the shop that can help me achieve that goal.

Worked with Cameron. He took great care of me. Giving 5 stars even though everything didn't go great. They accidently ordered the wrong part so couldn't complete service when anticipated. However, Cameron had correct part in as soon as possible and waived the labor cost due to their mistake. The exceptional service, care for the customer, and the human interaction will keep me coming back to Shannon for years to come.

I love it when I see how a business responds when something doesn’t go exactly right. It says a lot about the business. They immediately responded to my concern and responded even though it was after hours. Additionally, they had all the industry standard for explaining the problem, quoting the price, sending pictures of what needed to be repaired, and work that held up appropriately. I noticed their employees all wanted to be there. I value companies that take the money they earn and share it with their employees. Customer service was excellent. I have already recommended a friend!

This was my first time taking my car to Shannon Family Automotive. Last year, I attended a cool gathering they had for women regarding how to maintain your vehicle, and I really enjoyed it, so when it was time for an oil change, I decided to take my vehicle to them. I must have gotten an “F” in the class I attended, LOL, because little did I know that both my front and rear brake pads had worn down below the minimum thickness for replacement, therefore damaging my rotors and making my car unsafe to drive. When I got the call, it was 4pm on a Friday of a 3-day Holiday weekend…but no worries, because Shannon had graciously offered me a free loaner vehicle to use until the following Tuesday evening! Wow, who does that? That literally saved my life and made the bad news of needing all new brakes front and back much easier to take, haha! The inspection report they sent me was so thorough, and included photos as well as very easy to understand descriptions of everything that needed to be repaired or replaced on my vehicle…which I thoroughly appreciated. It put me at ease that I was not being taken advantage of…that these were true issues, with proof…and today, that really means a lot! I, for one, will continue to return to Shannon, because they’ve earned my trust and put me at ease that they truly care about their customers…..and I want to work with a shop that does quality work and is proud to show it! Now I know I have found that shop, and it’s Shannon Automotive!

The team at Shannon Auto kept me informed and went above and beyond to determine my issue. Ended up being a faulty part on a new install I did myself. I’ll be returning in the future and highly recommend them.

Shannon Family Automotive replaced the hood insulation and clips. The work was completed professionally and quickly. I was impressed with the end result. Because they had to order the hood clips, they drove me home, and I picked up my Toyota 4 Runner the next day. Excellent service!!

Shannon Automotive did a variety of work on my Nissan Frontier including an electric window mechanism, valve cover oil leaks, transmission flush, and spark plugs. Needless to say, each of the issues have been resolved to my satisfaction. No oil leak, the truck runs great and shifts like new, and the window works as it should. I’ve trusted them before and will do so in the future. Thanks

I was in an unfortunate situation with a vehicle i purchased that needed a lot of repairs that were not disclosed during the purchase and I needed a mechanic I could trust. I did my research and found Shannon Family Automotive. I worked with Eric and he has been very helpful, empathetic and helped me to navigate through each step of the way. I really appreciated their integrity and transparency. It's nice to know there are still honest people in this world.

I received a mailer with a coupon for a free warning light test. My daughters car (Acura that has a turbo) had a check engine light on and dead battery, but I was able to get it to the shop and asked them just to let me know what the check engine light was for as we were planning to sell the car. They gave me a quote for $200 but said that was only if they needed to do a deeper diagnostic. I asked them to call me before they did anything. They called to let me know the turbo was bad and it would cost $5K+ to replace. I declined and said I'd come pick it up. They presented a bill for $200 to which I replied that I had asked them to call me first. The person behind the counter was not super helpful and went to ask the owner/manager and said I had to pay it...this is the second poor experience my family has had with Shannon automotive. I paid the bill and said I wouldn't be back...the story continues as I took the car to another place down the street who has always done great work and communicated extremely well. They said they wanted to investigate the issue further and determined that the cause for the light was a defective battery which they worked with the auto parts store to replace for free and nothing was wrong with the turbo - cost me $96... I highly recommend heading down the street for a better, more accurate and honest experience.

The only place I trust with my Highlander and my daughter's Solara! The first time I ever brought in my Highlander (that I had only owned for about 10 months) they found a $6000 leak that was completely covered by the warranty that I bought through Toyota. They are friendly, personable, super, super honest and just the nicest people! Thank you Shannon Automotive!

The car is running well. Your staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. There was a problem communicating a completion time but I was told the rep helping us (Erick) quit unexpectedly which understandably caused the issue. I plan to use you for both our cars in the future. Dave Day

I asked the front desk person to replace timing belt and he-she insisted that the drive belt is the same as timing belt. I asked him-her multiple times if it's true but later after spending $1700+, it's NOT! This only means that the people you should trust as advisors do not know what they are talking about. For Honda Pilot, if you are changing the timing belt then might as well change the water pump and serpentine belt which he-she didn't recommend meaning that she doesn't know what she's talking about. Advertising Shannon as Honda "expert" is not true. The mechanics probably, but the people at front needs more training. Now I have to spend another $1K+ to get the timing belt replace AND not going to be at Shannon for sure. I was even planning to bring in my other cars at Shannon but not anymore...the Trust has been broken. Go shop around Folsom and Rancho...there are cheaper autoshops that are also experts on Toyotas and Hondas, etc. I could have given Shannon 4 or 5 stars and be a loyal customer and make referrals......very unfortunate. 2 Stars just for meeting promised day of completion. Parts and Labor, they are more expensive...they add extra cost for parts (2x price) compared to others where they only charge for labor per hour.

Great staff. Very friendly. My Toyota dealership was going to charge $500 to change fluids at 60,000 miles. Shannon Family Automotive checked the fluids and said they were fine for now. I saved a few $$$

Amazing customer service! Andrew was helpful and despite being very busy got my car in and fixed it. Inspection process comes with photos and detailed explanation which was fantastic! This will be my auto care company from here on out!

Updated 07-14-2025 I am no longer impressed with this facility. I have contacted them several times trying to get a general estimate for basic repairs or services, they are the only shop who seems to be unable to provide basic estimates because they want to inconvenience people while they look at your vehicle so they can potentially upsell you on other work. People don’t have time to wait dropping vehicles just for simple estimates, there are plenty of other facilities who can generate a reliable quote without all of the nonsense. Secondly we have discovered that when they did our transmission service, they failed to ee install the two bolts for the access cover located behind the front driver tire. We contacted them just to be told well even though we are open until 5;30 pm, our techs leave earlier so once again we would need to inconvenience you. They didn’t seem to care or offer come kind of solution. Honestly I have gotten better service from the local dealership lately Original review: Shannon Family Automotive Runs a large shop and provides fast and friendly service at reasonable rates.I chose them for a transmission drain and fill on our 19 Highlander, they provided one of the best quotes, they seemed to have a good reputation along with advertising to be a Toyota specialist which told me they were going to use quality parts and fluid designed for my vehicle instead of something universal. Upon entering the office, it kinda felt like walking into a dealership, they had 3-4 people working the counter like service advisors, my vehicle was quickly taken into a bay and the work was started. I did notice they provided a shuttle service, loaner vehicles and they vacuumed out the front driver and passenger sides of all vehicles which was nice. All of the employees appeared to be happy and upbeat especially for a Monday morning, the service advisors seemed to know some customers by name so that was a good feeling. My service was completed in a timely matter, they even ran a complimentary battery test and told me my battery was close to failing, although I declined to have them replace it, I appreciated the info and did have it taken care of later in the day from the dealership. I will definitely keep them in mind for future service needs.

Once again Shannon’s came through for me. While out my battery died. After getting a jump, I drove directly to Shannon. They got the new battery installed in under 45 minutes. Always friendly and efficient. That is why they are my exclusive automotive repair shop.

Shannon Automotive has been great for us. We’ve had three of our Lexus vehicles there and they have done great, honest work. We’ve previously only had the privilege of working with Scott and he is always great. Most recently we worked with Allie and she was able to squeeze us in for some much needed work on our son’s car that needed new power steering components. The work was done quickly and we had the car back the next day. Shannon’s is definitely our go-to shop for auto needs. We trust them with all our cars.

We’ve been taking our vehicles to SFA for over 15 years now. I can say that this business is one of the very few that has maintained a consistent quality of service over this span of nearly 2 decades. That’s pretty rare in my experience. I trust the family at Shannon to always provide me with a straightforward assessment of my vehicle’s condition, and never try to sell me work that isn’t necessary at that given time. I love the fact that even if they are extremely busy with work (which is a testament to their trade) they go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of and our vehicle is back on the road as soon as possible. I recently dropped off my Sequoia in their parking lot on a Saturday afternoon, left the keys in a secure lock box along with an information envelope. Shannon was able to diagnose and repair the vehicle within a short period of time, and they even gave me a ride when my wife was at work! Love this business and the top tier service they’ve provided to the community for so many years! Thanks SFA!

Great job ! While the job turned out to be bigger than I had hoped, I hadn’t taken as much care as I should have over the past year. I finally found a shop that I can trust, and I’ll definitely be on a better maintenance program w them. The fact that they provided a loaner car at no cost was extremely valuable, given that I work out of my car most days. Customer service & communication was excellent. Thank you

They are on time, if I wait, the time they said the vehicle was to be ready, is the time they hand me the keys. I took advantage of a discounted oil change coupon offered through the mail. My first time with Shannon Auto was great and I will be back. I am DONE with dealerships and their poor customer service and skyrocketing pricing. I wish the waiting room was larger but most people do a drop off and leave.

Oh so many beautiful things to say about this local family owned business. Erik has been our contact point with two very old cars that my two young adults drive. The priority has been safety for my children and as a mom, nothing could make me happier. Both cars have been in the family for 10 plus years and now they run better than ever. I am so thankful for this shop which we will now call home for both of these cars.

I was initially excited to find what I thought would be a good shop. Unfortunately, after several visits, my perspective has changed. First, I don't really appreciate the guy who works there all the time. He seems nice, but he never says "please," "thank you," or apologizes. When you really pay attention, it becomes clear that he acts nice but doesn't genuinely care. Second, the loaner car situation is unreliable; it's just a guess as to whether one will be available, making it completely useless for me. I don't live nearby, so having a confirmation would be nice. It seems like it's first come, first served, but that doesn’t always play out that way. They let you book online whenever you want, then act annoyed when you actually show up. Overall, this place has been disappointing. I took my truck there for an oil change, and they sent me a bunch of pictures of things they recommended without my request. It felt like a waste of time! Also, just so you know, all the positive reviews seem to be due to them using a review service that sends out multiple texts asking for feedback.

Fantastic service! Extremely professional and took the time to explain everything. I was impressed that I received a text with a diagnostic report. You never know as a female going into a repair shop if they’re gonna tell you the truth, we have to just trust them. I thought this is an excellent service tool to use. I was impressed with the fast turnaround time. I was towed in one day., Everything was explained, parts were ordered, and my GMC Sierra was ready the next day. She runs like a champ! I’ve always trusted Shannon with my 2013 Honda crosstour. They are the primary reason it is still running so well after 12 years and 182,000 miles. I trust them. They offer great communication service, and excellent work. On this particular visit, they found issues with a worn out radiator and front brakes/bushings. They made the recommendations and I followed them.
