I contacted this auto repair shop after receiving their promotional flyer and finding them on Google Maps with positive reviews. I came in because I have an issue with my Toyota Prius — the engine was replaced a few hundred miles ago at another shop and was advertised as “low mileage,” but after installation it turned out to have significant wear.
I needed a simple written opinion from a mechanic confirming that the engine is clearly not low mileage. The engine shows weak compression, heavy carbon buildup, and cylinder wall scoring. All I asked for was a brief written note describing its condition.
At the front desk I was asked to wait while they checked with management about whether they could provide this service. After a few minutes, the manager came out and said they unfortunately couldn’t help and advised me to go to an official dealer instead. Then the conversation ended there.
At the dealership, the wait time is over two weeks and the cost for this inspection is about $600. I was left with an unresolved problem and the feeling that the level of customer support didn’t match what is presented in their reviews and advertising.

They don't usually work on my type of car, Kia. They made an exception because it was a newer model and all I needed was an oil change and simple overview. They were quick and thorough. Good job and great customer service!
Staff was very friendly Micheal worked with us,he explained what else was needed after service was done. The waiting room was clean and music wasn't too loud and easy on the ears for all ages. The restroom which nobody bothers about,they are keptvery,very clean with essential supplies. I highly recommend Shannon and will definitely be back for my car future services!!! I was impressed by the service I received. I went in for an oil change and general inspection. They showed me a photo of the cracks in my drive belt, so I had it replaced as well. I was glad I went to Shannon's due to their service, fair prices, and friendly staff.

Brought my car in for a pre trip inspection because I noticed a few things that weren’t quite right. They did a thorough inspection, sent me the report, explained the findings clearly, were honest about what issues were critical and which could wait, and completed a pretty extensive tune up in a reasonable amount of time. I like that they offered prompt rides to and from their location and even a loaner car (which I did not need but could be scheduled pending availability). They are very honest, capable, and I trust them with our vehicles.
You don't go to Shannon Family Automotive just for repairs to your car, you also go because of the people. I have owned many cars over the years and been in many repair shops. I have never been treated as well as I was treated at Shannon Family Automotive. They don't let your car leave the shop until they are certain that it's running right. They will not do shoddy work, they will not overcharge, and they will treat you as if you are their most important customer. They are my only go-to auto repair now. They completely deserve an opportunity to quote you on your auto needs. These people go above and beyond and I am so grateful for them. Please give them a call next time you need auto repair. This is the nicest and honest repair shop I’ve ever used. I was actually kinda shocked about the level of service. Our wipers motor gave out while on highway 50 during atmospheric river with the whole family inside. They were busy but still helped us right away, and gave me a ride back/forth to a car rental place, and let us pull into their garage to unload/load our suitcases/backpacks. Highly recommend.
I had a great experience with Shannon Family Auto! They recently repaired my car by replacing the engine and transmission motor mounts, fixing a cracked radiator hose, and cleaning out all the carbon buildup in my mass airflow sensor. The difference in how my car drives now is incredible.
The staff was very helpful and took the time to explain everything thoroughly so I understood exactly what was going on. It’s rare to find an auto shop that’s both honest and patient, and I really appreciated the care they showed throughout the process!

So happy to have found this place! Been taking my 2022 Toyota Corolla hybrid to the dealership for oil changes etc, but today switched over to this garage. Cameron was so nice booking my appointment, and when I showed up to it, and he even offered me a ride home and pickup later so I didn't have to wait around. Dan, who gave me my rides home and back, was great! When I checked in I asked them to check air filters while the car was there, which they said checking them, tire rotation, etc was already included in the price they quoted when I booked the appointment and they'd call if anything else needed addressing to tell me any additional cost above the oil change. When they called to say the car was ready they shared that air filters, etc were super clean still and no need to replace. Other garages likely would have just changed them to make more money instead of being so honest, which I greatly appreciated! Definitely will use them anytime I need an automotive garage from now on, and I'll refer others!
Second time with Shannon Auto. Oil changed and brakes replaced. Due to an issue the caught it was recommended to replace calipers which i did. Easy appointment setting and great customer service. They do offer a shuttle which i did not need.

Shannon family auto is one of the most professional shops I’ve ever taken my car to. They are obsessive about quality and customer experience. Cameron who answered the phone when I initially called became my main point of contact throughout the service. He was extremely courteous and transparent about all of the work that would be performed on my vehicle. He was clear about the price and when my vehicle would be finished, also about when he would contact me next. Cameron made the whole process seamless.

I love it when I see how a business responds when something doesn’t go exactly right. It says a lot about the business. They immediately responded to my concern and responded even though it was after hours. Additionally, they had all the industry standard for explaining the problem, quoting the price, sending pictures of what needed to be repaired, and work that held up appropriately. I noticed their employees all wanted to be there. I value companies that take the money they earn and share it with their employees. Customer service was excellent. This was my first time taking my car to Shannon Family Automotive. Last year, I attended a cool gathering they had for women regarding how to maintain your vehicle, and I really enjoyed it, so when it was time for an oil change, I decided to take my vehicle to them. I must have gotten an “F” in the class I attended, LOL, because little did I know that both my front and rear brake pads had worn down below the minimum thickness for replacement, therefore damaging my rotors and making my car unsafe to drive. When I got the call, it was 4pm on a Friday of a 3-day Holiday weekend…but no worries, because Shannon had graciously offered me a free loaner vehicle to use until the following Tuesday evening! Wow, who does that? That literally saved my life and made the bad news of needing all new brakes front and back much easier to take, haha! The inspection report they sent me was so thorough, and included photos as well as very easy to understand descriptions of everything that needed to be repaired or replaced on my vehicle…which I thoroughly appreciated. It put me at ease that I was not being taken advantage of…that these were true issues, with proof…and today, that really means a lot! I, for one, will continue to return to Shannon, because they’ve earned my trust and put me at ease that they truly care about their customers…..and I want to work with a shop that does quality work and is proud to show it! Now I know I have found that shop, and it’s Shannon Automotive!
Shannon Family Automotive replaced the hood insulation and clips. The work was completed professionally and quickly. I was impressed with the end result.
Because they had to order the hood clips, they drove me home, and I picked up my Toyota 4 Runner the next day. Excellent service!!
Shannon Automotive did a variety of work on my Nissan Frontier including an electric window mechanism, valve cover oil leaks, transmission flush, and spark plugs. Needless to say, each of the issues have been resolved to my satisfaction. No oil leak, the truck runs great and shifts like new, and the window works as it should. I was in an unfortunate situation with a vehicle i purchased that needed a lot of repairs that were not disclosed during the purchase and I needed a mechanic I could trust. I did my research and found Shannon Family Automotive. I worked with Eric and he has been very helpful, empathetic and helped me to navigate through each step of the way. I really appreciated their integrity and transparency. It's nice to know there are still honest people in this world.
I received a mailer with a coupon for a free warning light test. My daughters car (Acura that has a turbo) had a check engine light on and dead battery, but I was able to get it to the shop and asked them just to let me know what the check engine light was for as we were planning to sell the car. They gave me a quote for $200 but said that was only if they needed to do a deeper diagnostic. I asked them to call me before they did anything. They called to let me know the turbo was bad and it would cost $5K+ to replace. I declined and said I'd come pick it up. They presented a bill for $200 to which I replied that I had asked them to call me first. The person behind the counter was not super helpful and went to ask the owner/manager and said I had to pay it...this is the second poor experience my family has had with Shannon automotive. I paid the bill and said I wouldn't be back...the story continues as I took the car to another place down the street who has always done great work and communicated extremely well. They said they wanted to investigate the issue further and determined that the cause for the light was a defective battery which they worked with the auto parts store to replace for free and nothing was wrong with the turbo - cost me $96... I highly recommend heading down the street for a better, more accurate and honest experience.

You never know as a female going into a repair shop if they’re gonna tell you the truth, we have to just trust them. I thought this is an excellent service tool to use. I was impressed with the fast turnaround time. I was towed in one day., Everything was explained, parts were ordered, and my GMC Sierra was ready the next day. She runs like a champ!
