Came here because my vehicle, with a new engine, went bad because of a failed engine sensor. Art checked my issue very quickly and let me know about the problems and recalls on my particular model. He then offered to house my vehicle over the weekend until I could have it towed to the dealership to hopefully have the motor and sensor replaced. Was totally nice and didn't even charge for his brief diagnostic on my vehicle! I cannot believe the great treatment I received, and when I get my vehicle issues sorted out I will DEFINITELY return for my automotive service and repair needs.

They were helpful in repairing my driver’s side window. They’re always swamped. Timely repair. The price was steep but considering the environment we’re now living in, it’s expected. The only suggestion I have is to redesign the waiting area

My truck started making and squeaking noise that I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I have driven past Bidwell Automotive many times as they are close to my work. I called them and they got me in right away. They took it on a short test drive and found the issue. They explained the noise and went over the repair and cost. I took my car there for brakes in December. They could have easily sold me front and back brakes but were honest and told me I only needed the rear brakes done. One of my brake lights went out this week. I took the car back there and they changed it in 20 minutes. Excellent work and customer service. I’m so glad I found this place!

Called Tom when my car wouldn’t start and he took me right away at 8am. I ended up needing a new starter and my car was done by noon. I also needed a new tire and Tom worked my budget to get everything situated. This place is honest, reliable, and they don’t hustle you for a million other services while you’re there. HIGHLY recommend!!!!
The staff at Bidwell are fantastic! I called a few places locally to get a bid for a pre-purchase inspection and they were the only ones who asked me the make/model of the car prior to letting me know they’d be able to do it. Long story short, the pre-inspection revealed thousands of dollars of repair work on the car I was considering purchasing. As someone who isn’t car savvy, Art spent time reviewing all the inspection findings with me, explaining things in a way that was easy to understand. Finally I paid for the pre-inspection, and apparently the seller tried to get a copy of the report from Bidwell even though I told him that wasn’t an option unless he paid for half the cost of the inspection, which he refused to do. Bidwell stayed loyal to me as the paying customer which goes above and beyond! Their pricing was competitive AND they saved thousands of dollars in repairs for a car that I was told would check out with no issues from the seller. Do not hesitate to use these folks!
I’m leaving one star because I have too. I had the worst experience I’ve ever had in business with Bidwell auto. I will straight up say they fixed my car for a few days. I had another repair shop file the warranty and they told me that Bidwell auto didn’t do any work worth saying because it was all redone. Don’t waste your money and give yourself unwanted problems. Go elsewhere
Went there today again with my 2010 Lexus is250 with 185,00 miles on it...as always it was great service and they will ONLY do repairs "as needed". I had just an oil change appt. today..I was in and out in just 30 minutes.
Most importantly they are "honest" about any needed repairs...I would for sure recommend this shop for repairs or oil changes and Art who helped me today, could not have been more friendly.
I recently visited Bidwell Automotive today with a mysterious noise coming from my brakes. Despite their schedule being packed for the week and it being an especially hard day, they went out of their way to accommodate me. Within just one hour, they identified and fixed the issue, showcasing their expertise and efficiency. Moreover they just charged me for the half hour diagnostic and fixed a bad caliper.I'm extremely thankful for the excellent service and professionalism at Bidwell Automotive. The absolute most honest and fair priced mechanics in Folsom. They do Not try to take advantage of single women. Always friendly and professional! They are always happy to put air in my tires when I pull up. The absolute Best!!!
Just wanted to give a shout out to the crew here at Bidwell Auto. I recently picked up a used high mileage tundra and needed a timing belt/water pump and suspension/tires. They installed a 2 inch lift on it for me to help clear the tires and now it rides awesome.
I was very grateful for how helpful Steve and Brandon were in helping me get the parts all replaced in the best and most cost effective manner. I definitely would not hesitate to recommend and have sent other friends/family here.
My wife and i just moved to the area about a year ago and we needed some work done on our cars and happened upon Bidwells and Art and Brandon have been great to work with. Various car and truck repairs and all done timely, always get us into the shop in a reasonable amount of time. The communication is great, they call when something comes up that was not in your original quote.

AMAZING! Art and his team are amazing. My daughters car was at the dealership for a recall and a diagnostic testing of recent power loss. The dealership just plugged the car into the computer, charged me $200, and wouldn't investigate anything beyond what the computer said. I felt their suggestion was not the answer to the problem. I called Bidwell Automotive because I read their reviews and I'm so grateful that I did. Art, the owner, answered and I explained my issue. He went above and beyond to take our car in and within the day he had actually diagnosed the issue and had the parts to fix it. He and his team are trained and true mechanics. Their prices are incredibly fair and they genuinely want to provide the best service for their customers. We live about an hour away but will be bringing all my vehicles to them for all our needs in the future because I can trust they will always treat me fairly and with honesty.
Friendly, fast, honest, and affordable! I needed the thermostat replaced on my Grand Cherokee and had called in for a quote in the morning. Not only were these guys incredibly affordable, but they were also able to service my vehicle the same day. I've been here twice and won't be going anywhere else in Folsom! I had my brakes repaired last August by Bidwell Automotive and came back for a different problem, but it still affected my brakes. They covered the costs for new brakes using a warranty that they could have easily hidden from me. They're honest and can get you in and out of the door quickly. They finished the diagnostics and repair in one afternoon. Also, they've explained problems to me using actual car parts. I've felt included and respected even as someone who knows little about cars.
I made my decision to use Bidwell Automotive based on Google's reviews. The 5.0 got my attention. I made the call, got scheduled, and showed up to a friendly, customer orientated staff that got the work done in a timely and cost effective manner. I wasn't aware the shop did non-tire/wheel related work until I asked. I had a 90% self-repair that needed 10% help by the professionals. I was pleasantly surprised they finished the job and didn't charge me. This is why I will return when maintenance is due on my vehicles. Great job and thank you.
So I brought my car into the dealership for a annual check and they diagnosed that I needed new rotors and pads on my rear brakes and a new set of tires. They gave me an outrageous quote so I decided to head to Bidwell automotive on a recommendation. Art was super helpful and immediately took care of me the second I walked through the doors. They were super fast and brought my car into the garage within 10 minutes of arrival. They even found that my ebrake pad was worn down and showed me in the garage. They did not force anything on me but in the end I decided to get that fixed as well. They gave me a much better quote than the dealership on the rotors, pads, and a new set of tires. Even compared to the cost of parts at an autoshop they had around the same prices, and gave me a good deal on the labor. I arrived around 2 pm and they had it ready to be picked up the same day, but I decided to pick it up in the morning. Art was one of the best I have ever interacted with at a automotive shop. I am super pleased with my service and will be coming back here for any car needs. It is a family owned business and the customer service was much better because of this.

These guys are great! This was my 1st time going to this shop as I was recommended by a friend and in a tight squeeze Bidwell Automotive Inc definitely delivered. I just needed a starter in my car and the car starts up hella smooth and quick, just like new, and was done in a very reasonable amount of time. Art is a great guy and the price he gave me was fair and Kev-O the mechanic who worked on my car did a great job.

The best service ever experienced! Art was informative, honest and patient with my unexpected flat tire. He offered excellent service early Saturday morning. When my towing service was taking too long to arrive, Art made the extra effort to meet me where my car had the flat tire down the street from his shop. He is truly a professional and cares about his customers.

Good customer service. Art was friendly, honest, and gave us a good discount because we had quite a few repairs to be done. He helpfully explained what was done to the vehicle. They seem to have good policies here. 2014 Hyundai Elantra with damaged steering fixed in a timely manner. Very satisfied. I'm sure we will return.
This is the Best place to get your car fixed!!! The new owner is amazing! I brought my mustang in because the signal light wasn't working. They immediately started to work on my car. The guys checked it & showed me that it wasn't the light bulb, but a possible faulty socket. They got it working again and told me they can change out the socket if it keeps shorting out. They didn't charge me! The old owners did a great job at finding new owners that are honest & great people that treat you like family! I cannot say enough great things about this auto shop. I am so happy I have an honest & trustworthy place to take my cars.

Took my car elsewhere in Folsom that I was having some issues with. I just wanted to get an idea what it would cost to fix it. I didn't care for the quote that I received. I notices this new shop that used to be I believe a tire shop. Figured I should try this place as well before I make my decision. I'm so glad I did, got a better quote and quality work done .
I was greeted by the new owner Art, he is also a Folsom resident, has 2 little girls that he adores. Right away I felt that he was all about costumer satisfaction. He was very knowledgeable answered all my questions. Simply a humble man that won't rip you off, for sure!
I'm very pleased with everything. I won't be shopping around anymore when it comes to our cars. This shop pretty much does everything. Often times it's wise to check out the new place in town. I'm just so glad I did.
