Can somebody explain to me how this recycler is still up and running. This is my boyfriend's receipt and clearly was robbed of his earnings. They were all weighed in same barrel so why is there 2 different tares? On top of it all those aren't even the correct numbers from the scale.
I took in 2 loads to them other day I had 10 bags of cans suppose be 100 lbs they paid me 1.65 lb end up only got 123.00 for first load second load had 100 lbs got paid little over 66.00 so they screw me out about 140.00 I will not go back their again so beware check weight before you sell them 24 cans is 1 lb. Their no sign say 100 lbs daily don't tell me I'm lying also my cans never got weight was put in one your white totes and screen was not facing me but will call weight.meaure and have scales check how can 10 bags of cans only weight 38 lbs which their was 2400 cans in those 10 bags and I weight before took in also first load was 10 bags was 100 lbs second load weight only 38 lbs I told her I wanted my cans back refuse give back

Mexican dude in front of us had his in 3 plastic bag prolli a 17oz garbage bag and he received 35$
Cool little place. Not the friendliest people and most of the time they are speaking Spanish to each other so I never quite know what’s going on, but they seem pretty honest and they are efficient. Just wish there was more parking.
Wish they paid more, and I could validate the weight of the containers they provide. Sometimes, the container is similar to a Rubbermaid product, and other times, chicken wire. Same scale, so.....?
I'm glad I am in the habit of rinsing out everything. It takes awhile for me to save enough to recycle. Well,
I forgot the hoard of aluminum I had in my tool shed.... 2 yrs worth.

I’ve been here several times because it’s convenient. I don’t think I got the correct weigh on my product. They move you so fast to keep you off your game. I always have 2 people weighing and yelling in Spanish which I didn’t understand. Then he says sign here and he give me $19.16 for 6 large 33 gal bags of plastic water bottles, 1 bag of cans and 1/2 bag of beer bottles and a minimum of 25 lbs of liquor bottles. It just didn’t seem like I got the correct amount of money
Not impressed! I went there today and saw that this operation is not honest. The person who weighted the can shouted out 45 (lbs.), but I found out later the other person in the cage put down 23.7 lbs. They use same barrel for both can and plastic, but the tare on can was 16.8 lbs. and 19.0 lbs on plastic on the receipt. I prefer not doing business with dishonest people, so I guess this would be my first and last time here.
This is our favorite recycling center to go to. We even drove from Arden area- because this one is the best. The workers are kind, the place is clean and calm, and we are in and out quickly. Hope too many people don't decide to use it though. I like the short lines
Quick and easy. They have the bins they want you to use set outside already, just grab how ever many you need sort everything out and they handle the rest. Payout is pretty decent as well.
Their scale for plastics give weights in whole numbers, so you get cheated. For example, you bring in 1.9 pounds, but only get paid for 1 pound. Aluminum weighing is fine. That scale calculates tenths of a pound. Not much to complain about, but you’re still cheated. Other than that, the place is okay.
We have been twice....the second time the guy in the window shorted my little boy by $10! My son has been saving cans for spending money. My son was sad, but I guess they needed the money more than us? Count your money at the counter before you sign for it.
I even gave a $2 tip for the guy who does all the lifting and moving of cans who works hard. I hope the “pay out guy” splits his extra skim off the till $$$ with the guy who does all the hard work.
They are fast and very organized, but I believe because if who I am I have been cheated out of a $ or 2 if not paying attention! I know the sign says check before I leave! I shared with a nice guy, realized I was missing couple $ guy growled at me, "Well how much did I give the guy!?" Ugh! Fast but ugh! Just my experience! I have no car so I'm walking distance to another site was convenient going to FOOD BANK.
Came here on a Saturday at about 2PM. It was pretty busy, but the workers were very quick and attentive to the customers. Definitely coming back. If you speak Spanish, they are able to communicate better. But I saw no difference in how they seemed to treat customers.
Got paid more than expected for recycling.
I went to this place to recycle our cans plastic bottle and I buy distilled water and pay .10 cents deposit. This time I was told they don't take them and they took them and through them aside. My wife was livid. She is going to contact the government office that regulates this business. She wants me to find a more reputable place. Last month I thought I should have received more pay out than I was given. THIS IS A TOP OFF PLACE.
Now I have been a monthly customer with this recycling center for several years now and I would've easily rated it a five star recyclers, because they are usually always so nice, fast service and good payouts, but this last month I received substantially less than what I normally receive. Now I come once a month and I usually have around the same amount of recycling each month, only this month it was several dollars less than normal. Since I had never seen this gentleman I was just hoping it was because the guy that was calculating my total is new. So they still deserve a four star or maybe even 4 1/2
Shittiest place ever DO NOT COME HERE, if uts your last resort keep an eye on then weighing out your stuff, crooked ass ppl!! Very very cheated should've gotten arleast 50-60 bucks and they only gave us 20$ they weighed it out when our backs were turned and didnt want to weigh it out when we told them to!!
They do not keep track of the items weighed. I feel very cheated...please note use unless you bring your own pen/paper to keep up with the weight of your items weighed. Go somewhere else...I will NEVER use them again!!!
I have taken a variety of recyclables to J A Recycling over the last few years from CRV cans and bottles, to car parts, and scrap copper. The employees are helpful, they are pretty speedy, plus they are the only outfit in Elk Grove that will take such a variety of materials. They are a little tricky to find though.
