Very rude and disrespectful helper or employee seriously needs to get new help there he cused at me and my sister for no reason there is a way you talk to people and he was mad and rude from the start respect is earned and he spoke to me with 0 and i still kep my cool will never use that location again and will be telling everyone
SCAMMERS! CRV on small plastic bottles is 5 cents. I had 240 bottles (Six packs of 40 bottles from Costco) and should have gotten $12 back. I only got $7! They make you dump out the bottles and put them on a scale. The scale is rigged. I told them one pack has 40 bottles, but they don’t care. These people are CROOKS!
Very pleased with the service here, I went there earlier today. The young man that helped me there, the one that is waving in the photo in the reviews section, he should be promoted to the highest degree possible, a great worker, extremely efficient and helpful, I'm very grateful to him. Both young men that were working there were excellent, the cashier as well. I regret I did not get the names, but they are both young men, but they are both young men. I highly recommend coming here For your recycling
The staff here are exceptionally nice. They are so very accommodating, and will go above and beyond to help you if you’re not physically able to handle your items.
After driving by this recycling facility for many years, I finally decided to bring my bottles and cans. Not only did I get more money than using my old facility on waterman, I had the most pleasant conversation with Charles who really was a gem. He helped me right away with putting my items in the garbage cans, he brought them over to the other nice gentleman to have them weighed. It really was the best experience and I look forward to coming back again and again.
My kids and I went to this location on a Saturday morning around 1130. The gentleman who helped us was very helpful and friendly. We were third in line and the wait wasn’t long. They were efficient. We will definitely go back. Thank you!
BEST IN THE BUSINESS
Ocean Recycling on the corner of Elk Grove Blvd & Bond Rd. is the most honest & personable recycler I have ever done business. The attendant is so honest, he requests all customers to watch the scale and be aware of weights of each recycled material. I know I have walked away with exactly as much cash for the amount of plastic bottles I recycled. I will never go anywhere else. I want everyone to try this place & find out how nice it feels to get honest pay back & make a nice business friend at the same time. That's a rare find, but one that will be appreciated & make you feel real special.
The guys working there were nice and actually informative. All those odd end bottles that may/may not be recycled, they explained it quite well and mentioned how much they were worth. Pretty cool guys too, very nice.
The staff is incredibly rude and defensive. I asked the attendant why he was removing glass bottles from my container. He said, "We don't take hard liquor or wine bottles. "
I said, "No other place has ever done this. That's rather squirrely. "
He snapped back, "You don't have to call me names! "
I said, " I didn't call you a name, I said your company's policy is squirrely. No one else does this. "
He said, " I don't have to take any of your stuff!" and glared at me, daring me to say another word.
I'll be returning to Valdez on Kent. They are far more professional and have positive employee attitudes and company goals.
Outstanding friendly and courteous service, accepted my crushed cans that other recyclers would not, just make sure if they're crushed the CRV stamp on top is visible and it doesn't look like a building was dropped on it.
People work here are very kind! The best thing is they open on Sunday. They have water for customers to wash hands after work. Great local recycling center!
Elk Grove Florin Rd. Its a small Center in front of the Store not behind it. They have a limit of 100lbs per day for your total recycling,
TAKE NOTE- Keep the labels on your plastic bottles! Water bottles are the common ones, if the label falls off put it inside the bottle other wise its worth SCRAP 5 cents/ Keep the CRV label inside or on your plastics if they are CRV.
IF your TOTAL exceeds $100 you will need to show state I.D or Drivers License!
THEY DO NOT TAKE RECYCLING AFTER 4pm OR ANYTIME ANY RECYCLING CENTER CLOSES!-Just don't show up at the given CLOSED time and your things will always get accepted.
Recycling rates are good-fair, the workers are pretty nice if you are. Simple as it gets, put the recycling into the bins and then take them for inspection and weighing. Being a small recycling center it could be busy or some wait time to get your stuff weighed. But i haven't experienced any super long waits. Of course MASK REQUIRED for service at this time of nasty bacteria epidemic ;)
Fast but they don’t add up the weigh right. My husband has 30lb of cans and she gave him $31.00 so she charge him $1 a pound instead of $1.70. Don’t recommend going here .
Clean, friendly, and great customer service!! They helped us out on emptying our tons of recycled bags. It's an in and out service. 100% will come back!
I've visited here many times and love that they're open weekends. It's clean and in a nice area, not to mention if you're around Bond to Elk Grove Blvd and highway 99 to Waterman it's convenient. The woman working there is always nice and doesn't weigh your recycling without you looking at the scale first. She also gives out a card you have punched each time you go so on the 10th visit she marks up the values of the recycling so you get more money! No complaints here!
