Everyone that works there is awesome, kind and friendly. I have recommended this store to everyone i know. If you like finding cool stuff at an even cooler price then The Discount Store is where to be.
It was okay. The bins were pretty much filled with Christmas and Halloween items. This was a Thursday after 12 pm, so it was the new weekly load where everything was $10 a item. Not worth it.
I don't know what's going on with this place but it's nothing like it used to be! The store is practically empty and those sale bins are a hot mess! Where has all the items gone that were there before? Like clothes, purses etc etc? I won't be going back again.
This store was great. However, now they have changed part of it to a bin store and have not found anything worth while yet. The other oart of the store is still good. No more clothes nor shoes though.
Building a home and found some fantastic tiles! Saved us so much money! Great store, also the people that work there are more than helpful! Highly recommend checking it out!
I wish I lived closer to the Discount store. The only thing that made me mad was that I just got done buying the O Cedar pet broom at Walmart. I actually bought three of them because I liked them so well. I walked into the Discount store and they had the same exact broom. I paid $13.97 apiece at WM. You also got 15% off that day. I would’ve been able to save roughly $7.65 apiece for a total savings of at least $22 plus less tax.
They also had a lot of selection of outdoor lights and fans this time..

I have finally found my people! I just found this store last week and I have been there 4 times now. The people are very friendly and helpful. Great prices on the retail side, and the bin side is my favorite. I may have to ask if I need to pay rent since I'm there so much.
Always a great place to shop. Brian was always helpful and I enjoy the thrill of finding the next good deal. Now that the store is under new management, the deals are not as good and the product selection has also declined. It feels like you’re shopping at a knockoff Target since most of the items are Target reject. It’s disappointing to come in after a few months and find the same boring and overpriced items on the shelves.
Love this store. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Great deals! All clothing $5.00 today. Lots of items from Target, which I love. Never know what you’ll find.
Okay place to go. Some things are still pricey for a discount store. They recently started doing bins and it’s a little hectic. Still would love to go there one time and not hear employees complaining about their job. You can find some fun stuff sometimes but definitely would recommend going every few months. A lot of the stuff is always the same.
My experience today was extremely disappointing. Upon our arrival, I was assisting my handicap mother into the store, while my son, godson, and daughter had a small lead into the store. As I am walking into the store, a woman (employee) about 60 year of age, dark hair, possibly 5ft in height was yelling at my kids who walked with excitement to spend money we gave them to buy some merchandise. Not one of my teenagers had touched any item yet. The only way to look at an item for purchase would consist of shuffling through bins. The women (employee) yelling at my kids, that they are not allowed to shop at the store, was screaming at the top of her lungs while the employees standing around behind her were staring and laughing. I asked if they can shop with me and she rudely replied “They are not allowed to touch unless they are 18.” There were no visible sign upon entry. We immediately left and felt so embarrassed. We all felt disrespected. We all felt discriminated against. I rather not spend my time leaving a review as such but, In this case I feel I must warn everyone. Hopefully there will be a better way to welcome customers in the near future. It really reflects on management and the owners themselves.
Update: response from store is fair, so changed rating to more neutral. I will give another shot in the future.
Original: I was told they carry MOTU figurines (toys) so I stopped by as a collector and was shocked to find their prices were nearly double that of retail. A figure I purchased from Walmart in December for $23 was $36 AT THE "DISCOUNT" STORE! Ross & Five Below have the same figures right now for $5. Crazy.
Maybe they have deals here on other things, but be VERY cautious about your purchases as they may be available much cheaper at other retailers.
Not what I would call a discount store by any means. I liked that the merchandise was well organized far more so than the other discount stores I go to but I would rather deal with disorganization at other stores and pay way less than I would here.

Wanted to leave a special thanks to Ally and Hannah for helping me today (4-13-24) in the store as I picked some flooring to finish my house with. They were really nice, helpful, and have great personalities which I really appreciate especially with them being close to closing. Best part is they gave me a really fair deal on the flooring I needed. Thank you ladies for your help! As usual I’ll be back soon!
This store has many different houses hold items, toys, beauty, jewelry, some shoes, few clothing items, home improvement (mainly flooring and bathroom vanities), bedding, even select items for dogs, and more! The reason I give the store 4 stars is their price points. The prices are pretty decent however, I feel like it’s not too much of a discount, but after all the items are still discounted. Some better than others. Great variety though!
I love this store! The customer service is outstanding. There was a crazy guy yelling and screaming at the manger for no apparent reason. The manger kept calm and her professionalism. She made sure every other person in that store was ok and not upset over the crazy guy. She was very nice and polite!!!!!!
The Discount Store is huge with unbelievable prices y'all. This is my first time here and the variety of items was just as beautiful. What I enjoyed about this store was the amount of items made for all at affordable prices.
The quality of furniture, appliances, clothes, toys, personal items and more are ready to buy in one store and can be purchased in bulk. The customer service was outstanding. Come down and check them out; off of Auburn in Citrus Heights.
If I could give 0000 stars I would ...only because of one staff member named Victoria was super rude when I went to pick up my order today...I usually work with the store manager Lonnie...she's super helpful! Unfortunately she was not there today and I had to deal with an inexperienced rude cashier...we came from Elk Grove to pick up an auction order and she was sending us aways being that there was only 15 min left before they closed...even though the 6 items were waiting there for me and Lonnie said I had until 6pm to pick up! I've spent thousands of dollars at this store as well as their sister store... unfortunately I will no longer be spending my money at the citrus heights location thanks to Victoria who has no business working in customer service with her lazy work ethic and attitude...my business will now be with the Dixon location only!

02/24/2024 Lonnie the store manager and staff were very attentive and able to help me obtain a Tiffny sleeper/recliner. It was very busy but they were able to handle everyone with respect and smiles on their faces. I'm glad I dropped in and will definately will be a repeat customer!
This place was so awesome!! They have so many cool items at amazing prices. All target and other products and nearly half or less the cost! I think I’ll be coming from Chico more often for this store. The manager and staff there have amazing customer service ! I don’t leave reviews but when you have that experience you have to!
This used to be a good place for reject pallet deals from Target, Costco etc, now it’s INSANELY overpriced. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt the last 2 times I came in on the off chance there were some good deals. Will probably never come back, shame their prices are more than what you can get online.
I wanted to tell you how pleased I was with the level of customer service I received last week. My wife and I bought a few things, including a huge rug. The price-and quality was fantastic, so, of course, we are happy about that. Brian the GM even allowed us to pick it up a few days later, which we are grateful about. But what stood out for me in particular was how helpful EACH of the employees we encountered were, especially Brian. Despite being fairly busy, they answered our questions politely, They pointed us to where things we were looking for might be. Okay, maybe that's what ought to happen. But what stood out is that the staff left us feeling that our little money was appreciated, us coming there to shop. That attitude was just so refreshing. We were referred to your store by a relative, who said pretty much the same thing; you now have us as return customers! Wishing you all much success. We love this place! We’ve recommended this store to all of our family and friends. We now come here first before going to other stores like Target or Home Depot. The staff are always friendly and the deals are pretty good. Great place to go if you’re a new home owner needing inexpensive decor or looking for larger home renovation items like flooring or vanities. They receive new inventory daily which makes it tempting to go everyday but that’s too dangerous for my wallet.
We came here for a treasure hunt. This place is full of surprises. We got a large section rug ( 6.6 x 9 ft ) for only $24. It was a Costo return. We were very pleased with this new find. We will definitely shop again.
I went to the store in Dixon, but I will be going to the one in citrus heights as well. I think it will be my new addiction. I got great patio umbrellas for $47 a piece. I love a good bargain, especially when I'm looking for something specific. My mom got a little garden box for $15. I'm sure I would have picked out more but I had limited shopping time. I will be back, and a plus for me was the staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful.
Shipping center is no very busy so there plenty of parking. Great place to peruse weekly to check out new stuff. Staff was super friendly. There's a lot of beat up boxes but it's deals make up for it. Got a raffle win today was treated to an even bigger deal. Thanks!
