Good place to recycle pretty fast if you go but I advise you to separate your cans and plastic and glass before you get there it will be a lot faster for you to be in and out and Mike there and his son are great people and hard workers so please be patient with them and they will get you out as fast as possible!
They're often busy. Mike is always kind fast & efficient! Honestly I don't trust recycling centers bcuz of a couple places taring their scale wrong on purpose; I do know that I shouldn't suspect all places bcuz of someone else did me wrong (I am a work in progress!)
BUT MIKE & THE CREW HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HONEST, OF COURSE I WONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE NOW THAT IVE FOUND THEM!

I've been coming here a couple of years but not since last February. I've saved an exceptional amount of recycling and although I'm living in Fair Oaks I decided going here. Well not only is Mike a Professional but he even assisted me while managing all the other customers "which were a lot". Today I remembered why coming here always ends better. Thank you for providing a clean quick station and see you next time.
Jackass was too damn lazy, closed up shop at 1:45. When I got there it was 1:50 and the guy said they closed 5 min. Ago.... I mean why have a closing time if your not going to close at that time? It even said 2 o'clock on Sunday and I drove out there for nothing just a waste of time!!!
Wife pulled up at 4:18pm and it says they close at 4:30pm. The guy rudley made a comment stating that they closed at 4:15 as he was loading up someones recycling. Mind you the guy that was doing this was shirtless and kinda looked tweaked out. Not sure if this is how you should run a buisness. Pretty irritated, any how thank you for helping me figure out a place to take our recyclables next time.
Don't go there. It seems like something is wrong. We weren't even finished sorting the recyclables, but they were already taking them and bringing them inside. The person weighing them was incredibly rude.
He was weighing the recyclables, but we couldn't see the scale because it was covered. He also didn't tell us how much they weighed. He just kept writing things down. When we asked how much they weighed, he didn't answer. He just asked us to sign.
There was no proper explanation or information on the correct weight. He just handed us the receipt and told us to go to the store right away. The man there was extremely rude. We will never go back.
If you don't want to be treated rudely, don't go there.
Terribly unprofessional and nasty place. I arrived at 1:40 on a Sunday to drop off recycling, and after entering the gate and locating a couple of barrels to put my cans and bottles in, I began to take them back to my vehicle when all of a sudden I hear someone shout, "HEY"!
Considering the majority of the other patrons inside looked like they were unhoused citizens I figured it was just two people that had gotten into an argument or something... until I realized somebody was talking to me.
"Nuh uh, were not taking anymore. How many you got"? A very gruff and scowling older man barked at me as he walked my direction.
I told him I had six bags of recycles to which I was informed that they stopped taking people at 145.
This was not posted anywhere online nor on any signage outside or inside of the gate.
Nice waste of time and gas on my end - far beit from me to expect a place to be open during the hours they advertised that they are.
So, needless to say, I will not be returning here.
I only decided to stop by this one on a fluke.
But after being shown this level of... Just discourteous unprofessionalism, I'm certain that anyone else who should have the misfortune to come by here would end up leaving with the same impression.
Do yourself a favor, and take your business elsewhere.
There's lots of other places that will treat you with basic human decency at the very least, and will not waste your time by lying about the times they are open for business.
I gave it a three-star but he comes down to nice people a little bit of a stop in order to get rid of your recyclables but not so bad so I gave it a three not quite worth of four but I would say three and a half the people that run the back part of the store where the recycling her there's a guy I believe he's got like pretty cool dude but he is all about the business he will make conversation on occasion because what he does is very very boring I bet
I been going hey for over 15 years now and I will never return after our visit last week. We came in with a truck load and some we separate like we were suppose to got up there to weigh it all the lady was rude the whole way thru I don't know where the man is that use to work here he was nice friendly at least. I don't think we got what we were suppose so I asked to speak to the owner and was told no I had way less the last time we came here and got more money she didn't pay separate for the different plastics that we had if I want positive we were shorted I wouldn't be leaving this review I will drive all the way to A1 metals in Rio Linda its worth it to not be ripped off and treated badly. This place is not the same
The pay was good better than some. Wish they cold have giving me the cash insted of going inside the Convenience store the lady that was working was kind of snarky but once there was another employee gave me a lyft device for free a few years back that someone never returned and I sold it for 25 after I quit ridesharing but parking i will say is Horrendous though but over all not the best nor the worst I been to but
I showed up 10 minutes before they closed for the day and after unloading all of my recyclables beginning to sort them, the manager told me that I was too late and that I had to come back tomorrow because he was going to a ball game and didn't want to be late. When I explained to him that I could be done in the time it would take for him to close he said "It will be better for your health if you come back tomorrow." I'm not sure if I took it wrong but that sounds to me like a threat of violence from the owner of the shop and therefore I will never do business here again nor will I ever suggest anyone else does either.
Tony was such an awesome help. Not only did I come in with a truck bed full of unsorted which he helped me sort but he also continued his great customer service even after!
Been going here for years. The guys are pleasant and the place smells okay. The little store where you cash the recycling slip is more of the same; nice people being pleasant very much good neighborhood vibe.
