I am very grateful for their work! Everything is very honest and straightforward. The quality of work is excellent. The price is slightly higher, but with their quality, the car lasts much longer—2 or 3 times longer than if I went somewhere else—so in the end, it actually saves money! I drive a lot, about 1,000 miles per week, so I have plenty of experience to compare. They really help me out, since I often need repairs due to using my car for work. Thanks to them, my car stays in good condition and is safe on the road! I trust them and it’s an excellent service! The staff are kind, honest, and friendly, especially Maya—thank you so much again!

Their staff did an outstanding job troubleshooting the problems with my sister’s car. Normally it would have an easy task but the techs keep trying different things and finally were able to cure the problem. I had a very knowledgeable contact with Alex. Very smart guy. He was in contact with me every day, with the days progress. I know my sister will continue to rely on them in the future.
Maya at the Carmichael she's doing good jop taking care of her customers . My car broke down I drop it off at night at Carmichael location in morning I received a call from Maya and I told her what's going on with the car and 2 hours later she called me back she told me what have to fix and she really take care of everything easy to talk to she's amazing thank you maya
I brought my stepfather‘s car into this shop because the key wouldn’t turn in the ignition. Alexander Rossi was my service advisor. He told me it was going to cost several hundred dollars to re-key all the locks since it was a Toyota key that has codes. He encouraged me to try to find my extra key, which worked perfectly. After two days and several hours of his time he thanked me for coming in and said no charge. My aunt referred me to this auto repair shop since we both have AAA and she had great service and so did I. It’s nice to have an honest auto repair shop nearby that is not into ripping people off. I appreciate Alex and his professional and helpful customer service.
Usually don’t like leaving negative reviews but this is to warn others as this shop has cost me money after “repairs.”
I had this shop replace radiator hoses due to a small coolant seep from a failed hose clamp. 1-2 months later I noticed coolant level was dropping so they performed a pressure test and said everything was fine. I kept having this issue but was hesitant to go back as I didn’t really trust them at this point.
Ended up taking my car to a specialist shop for my vehicle to find that 2 hoses are leaking at the seal near the clamp that this shop replaced.
Just a heads up as this situation is now costing me another $500 sadly. My wife and I will not be returning with either of our vehicles as we no longer trust this shop.
*** the other instance we had was with my wife’s car. They rotated her tires and for some reason it set off the AWD system light. We brought the vehicle back the next day to have them switch the tires back to see if the light would turn off. They didn’t want to do that, and recommended a diagnostic with a $200+ fee just to “look into it.”
We took her SUV to Les Schwab on Madison, free tire rotation to put the wheels and tires back to original position and the light turned off.
Such a refreshing experience! I had taken my car to a dealer for service and got a very long list of scary items, so I took it to AAA Carmichael Auto Repair for a second opinion. I made it clear that I really wanted to make sure my minivan was safe because it's used to transport my kids. They looked over my car and gave me very detailed information, let me know that many of the items on the dealers list were inaccurate and unnecessary. Such a relief to work with honest mechanics. I wont take my cars anywhere else now.
Had a great experience. Went in because my truck died when gas pedal was placed in specific positions. I expected the truck to be in the shop for a couple of days to figure this one out. Dropped off at 9 am, updated by 11am, and picked up truck at 3:30pm, all with an AAA discount. Great job team!
The guys were professional with their diagnosis of my car’s condition. They were quick and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend to all to come by and get their vehicles checked.

I recently purchased a battery and had it installed by AAA Auto Care. Five weeks later, my car wouldn't start. I called AAA, and they came out to jump-start my car, which worked. I then returned to AAA Auto Care, explaining there might be an issue with the battery I purchased. They checked it and claimed my alternator was failing. I found this hard to believe since my car only had 48,000+ miles.
I decided to get a second opinion from Joe's Auto. They confirmed that nothing was wrong with the battery or the alternator—the issue was that the battery had been improperly installed by AAA.
I will never bring my car to AAA Auto Care again. They tried to sell me unnecessary services for nearly $1,300.
Basically if I trusted AAA auto repair, I would have paid $1,300 for services NEVER needed.
It add insult to injury, they going to replace with a remanufactured alternator, which means they will take out my good alternator and replace it with garbage. Is this a way for them to steal good parts?
If you value honesty and quality work, I recommend going elsewhere.
**Response to AAA reply** I will not be responding by email or member number so you can ruin my membership. I did speaker to the desk person and she was very rude. Just note, this is not a place I will ever go-to again.
I am giving a one star and I hope the women read this comment. The customer service is at an all time low. Short answers, no detail in explaining, etc. I know you may want to go though your insurance to get a deal but this location specifically is not the friendliest. I most likely will refer my friends and work colleagues to another auto repair. If you're going to spend your money at least do it with a company that has good customer service. Especially a car!
Maya at the Carmichael facility is fantastic. AAA Carmichael has always done a good job on my 2 vehicles. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of their care. I had a little oil drip on my garage floor after an oil change and Maya had me bring the car back in to inspect. It was residual as I suspected. The same mechanic that did the oil change verified everything was buttoned up and cleaned up any oil he could see. I only mention this because I was happy with the response to a potential problem.
Alex is not only a loyal customer, he is also our go-to guy for all of our company & personal vehicle needs! He is always friendly, quick with the point & helpful. We are truly appreciate to be located near this particular AAA Auto Repair Center. Alex is a huge part of this, however, the entire staff has also been very kind to us. We needed several repairs done at once. Alex and the rest of the team at AAA were very helpful in determining exactly what we did and did not need to get up and running. Everyone was very friendly, the service was done quickly and done right.
This shop diagnosed my minivan to need a new transmission. They claimed that they do not fix transmissions but only would replace it in full, a $4K or $8K repair. I had my car towed down the street to a wonderful transmission shop and they told me it was NOT my transmission but a broken axle. The repair was $300, and in 4 short hours I was driving my van again. This shop did refund my diagnostic fee in full, but I wonder how many others have paid for a transmission change that was unneeded? I am only giving this company one star because it will not allow me to post otherwise.
My son (a college student in SoCal) took his truck to a shop and was given a list of numerous services that had high priority: motor mounts, cv joints, and on ... over $3k. WE took it to AAA Carmichael Auto Repair Center. No problems with motor mounts; cv joints didn't need immediate replacement, and in the end he walked out with less that $1k in needed services. Yes, other things will need to be taken care of but not a high priority. Guess where he'll bring the truck for those services? AAA Carmichael Auto Repair Center. Thank you Emil and Alex.
First time customer.. I made an appt for an oil change & inspection. Alex was phenomenal. In every way. Kind, courteous, knowledgeable but also didn't make me feel stupid or fearful to ask questions. He was professional & friendly - everything a person in customer service should be. He even honored a coupon I showed him but couldn't process on my phone. I appreciated how clean the shop was and how quickly & efficiently my car was serviced. I loved the report with pictures too, images I'd otherwise never have access to. And THANK YOU for being open on a Saturday so that I don't have to shut down my business to wait around for my car, so very appreciated! Alex and his crew have certainly gained a loyal customer!
The service is phenomenal we had so much done on our car. They are so patient regardless of what's happening.. They try and work with you as much as they can..I would definitely recommend to everyone..

Ok. I am going to be completely honest here. I was a victim of vandalism to my vehicle in which the homeless drilled a hole into my gas tank in July 21, 2023. I was able to drive it to the nearest gas station which is located on Manzanita and Winding Way (Chevron) where I confirmed there was a hole. Right next door is the new AAA auto repair shop. Very convenient as I didn’t need to call for a tow truck. They could simply push the vehicle into their bay to get a claim started with my insurance company.
It all began when I walked into the establishment to explain my situation. The first person whom I spoke with, was a young lady by the name of Maya. I was actually pretty calm with my situation because I knew I would still have a rental to drive around to continue working. Also upon inspection they found a coolant leak, so I’m a firm believer all things happen for a reason, right? The plan was now to also have that repair done right after the gas tank replacement. This girl pissed me of royally with her horrible, unprofessional attitude. I tried calling from home to ask a couple questions and she wouldn’t answer the phone. I walked back to the location in 95 degree heat to tell her to check her attitude because I was not the one AND I’m the damn customer needing your help. She apologized and said she was overwhelmed because she had another service advisor out from covid and she was over worked. After all that, we decided on ordering a new gas tank and not a used one so that it would be under warranty. It would take 2 weeks for the gas tank to arrive.
2 weeks fly by and I called to get status on when the tank would be arriving. AAA advised that Jeep had not shipped the gas tank out yet and that they would escalate the issue. Yes please. My rental is good for 30 days.
Week 3… no gas tank yet, no ETA. Jeep stated it was stuck in shipping in Portland Oregon?! WHAT!! Ok.. time is of the essence here as I have 1 more week for the rental to be returned.
Week 4. I called Wednesday and AAA stated that the supervisor over at Jeep escalated the issue. Thursday afternoon around 2ish i walked into AAA to get any updates possible. Advised me the gas tank had just JUST arrived 5 min prior to me walking in. He assured me that someone would get to work on it Friday. I go in on Friday and was advised “bigger jobs” came in on Friday and I was put on the back burner. ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?!! After everything we had to go thru to get the tank delivered, you make me wait 2 additional day’s before you repair my vehicle??
Saturday I received a text message from Maya indicating that the tank was being replaced and that she would begin a claim with my extended warranty company to replace the water pump on Tuesday when she returns back to work. That was NOT acceptable for me because Tuesday was the last day for me to return the rental and I had appts booked. I called and spoke with her once again to first of all, demand someone to repair my car MONDAY so that I can pick up my car MONDAY. I advised her too, that I would be putting up this review so everyone can know MY experience with both AAA and Jeep. IMO they both dropped the ball and did not take care of their customer the way they should have.
Manager called me Monday morning to inform me that my vehicle would be ready to pick up before noon. I went to my appt in Elk Grove and went to pick up my vehicle. I wasn’t even excited anymore…I just wanted to get my car and go. I am a little burned from coming back here for anything but may consider them again in the event I have another emergency situation close to home. This also taught me to not have any expectations from others to avoid disappointment. I suffered anyways but I’m glad I have my vehicle back.
Now I need to try to find where to get a gas tank shield from, which is supposed to make it impossible to have any holes drilled into your gas tank. They're good for other services but that attitude stunk.
Took car to AAA as soon as it began to overheat. Issues was sort of obvious but cost $160 just for basic diagnostic- which doesn't seem to be applied toward repairs etc. It was half the price at Fair Auto Repair and like the owner so had our car towed there.
I was able to get an appointment for an oil change very quickly. The tech and all the staff was very kind and did a great job. They even send you pictures of everything along with recommendations and quotes. 10 out of 10 in my book. I cannot recommend this business enough, I will be back.
Went here to see if my. AAA insurance was legit enough for a free to low cost undercarriage check. Nope. This lady in the front counter that came off like she was too good for AAA told me that it would be around 168$ for non AAA and around 158$ for AAA members. Wow what a deal! Not!
I just needed them to lift the car up real quick so I or someone else can see what's rattling underneath. She was not friendly like most AAA members. She's all about "paying" her guys in the workshop! Not helping AAA customers. Plus there was a 2 hour wait. You must drop off car and they'll call you. Not that busy IMO. Very rushed service. Not happy! Will not return ever; and definitely don't recommend. 1 Star ⭐ for the Lady.. Don't know her name. Let's call her "hotshot'
I just needed an oil change. Was favorably impressed with the whole process. It has a nice and clean waiting area. Alex, my advisor, was friendly and efficient. I received a thorough report of services provided and needed via email. Everything you would expect from AAA.
My car broke down, and AAA towed here. I didn’t even need to go in with the car. It was fantastic. Excellent communication, detailed service, and an affordable, fast fix. I had my car back the next day.
Alex and Maya were fantastic. I initially spoke with Maya when booking my appointment, but Alex helped me when I brought my car in. My wife brought her car in after mine and Maya was her point of contact. The multi-point inspection on her car pointed to some maintenance. Everything was explained and the car was even delivered sooner than she had initially stated. 5 stars for both Alex and Maya and the entire team.
