I've been going here for a few months now. The gentleman is always kind, gives me a receipt and has a good attitude. It's my go to recycling center now. Thank you!
Recycling center is now well organized and kept very clean by a new employee named Ludin (sp?) He runs the operation very smoothly. I've observed on several occasions he helps customers sort their recyclables when time allows.
Sketchy! Came in with 12 bags stuffed full. He advised me they were low on funds. Turns out my 12 large bags of recycles was worth $ $32.00. wow what is crazy! The exact amount he had left to pay out! Said he was closing because he didn't have any more cash. Drove by 15 minutes later and he was still in business with a line of customers. Also can't see the weight because the scale having the customers of either turned off or broken.
Customers can’t see weight display and I know they don’t give accurate weight. I had 5 of the large Orange baskets filled with aluminum cans and it was weighed at 20 lbs. I’ve been recycling over 10 years and I know it was at least 35 lbs. Never coming back here!
Two oversized trash bags plus a grocery bag full of cans and the weight was supposedly 30 lbs…. On bag weighed nearly as much as a 40 lb bag of do food. The weight on the scale is not visible to customers and no receipt. S&A is the only place I will go from now on.
Beware of this place, they will steal from you. I weighed my recycles at home before bringing them over and they stole about half the weight. I pointed it out to the gentlemen in charge....oh we use industrial weight system. Spineless, I won't be using them again. I think I've been recycling long enough to know my stuff. I was not born yesterday.
Fairly quick. They don't require you to take caps off of bottles, like some other places. If you forget to remove the caps like I did, this place will still take your CRV recyclables. Food containers, mouthwash bottles, and alcohol containers are a no go.
They won't give a reciept even if you ask... probably, because they pocket half your return.
Before that, I had to return because they were at lunch - they took longer than a 30min - so they were closed for a chunk of the day in the afternoon.
Definitely, a waste of time so it's my first and last time at that location.
These guys give you the amount they want, and at the end of day the calculate the total weight for the day total it up subtract what they paid out and pocket the money. Cheaters!!!!!!
I was here earlier in the morning and Ali helped me sort everything at my truck and I noticed I got more money here than at other places. Will be making the drive to this place from now on. Only downside is that the baskets arent sturdy enough
This place has fair prices and the workers are super friendly, especially the worker with glasses always has a good attitude and willing to help! Will continue to come here and recommend to others.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS RECYCLING CENTER!! I was there this past Wednesday with a pickup load of aluminum cans and plastic bottles. To start the two workers did not lift a finger to help me unload my bags and bottles. But the most important issue is that with all of that material it was only worth $11.00!!! No offer for a receipt and clearly I was grossly CHEATED!!! Horrible experience!!!
CHEATTERRRRSSS!!!!! I've been here more than once when began to notice that they weren't giving me what I was owed. They cheated me out of MORE THAN HALF of what they owed me. Also, they would use the excuse of saying they didn't have enough change to pay me off. That's not professional in any case. Having change at this kind of exablishment is simpley proper business practice. Hope this information was helpful.
I went here many times with same amount of recycling stuff, but this time the these 2 guys recycled for lot less only $10, my stuff worth at least $20.they cheated me. Will try other places next time.
Love this place, prices could be better but recycling is NOT a source of income. Great for kids to learn how to recycle and the benefits of the pocket change. Workers are always nice too.
It is in an unsheltered location that is very hot in the summer months. They typically have long wait times, and they apparently never clean their area, resulting in a very smelly experience. To top it off, I can never find coupons for Sunset Recycling --at least in mailed or local publications.
I visited the recycling center on Washington and was very pleased with Hugo and Alfreds assistance on my visit!! Will be returning and recommending to anyone I kmow!!
