Refused to give me a refund on a part that was cancelled within 24 hours of ordering. When asked about the refund he stated "My distributer LQK is charging me a 45% restocking fee." He wasn't aware that I knew that LKQ was pick-a-part. When i confronted him about it he changed his story. Despite the fact I never received the item or that "pick a part" has free 30 day returns with no restocking fees I can attest that this man is 100% a Crook with no integrity. When I asked him to show me some paperwork that says 45% restocking fee he refused to show me any documentation to back it up.
Essentially he's holding my money hostage and trying to hold on to a good chunk of it with the pretense of another business, with a proven track record of easy returns, is charging a ridiculous 45% restocking fee of almost $1500. How is this not illegal?
This appears to be a bogus company. I ordered a truck part from them on Ebay. They said it would take 3 weeks to ship it to me. I got a tracking number from FedEx and waited. When the date came for the arrival nothing came. I checked the tracking number to find out It was never picked up by FedEx. I called the sellers number listed on line and it was forwarded to a second number that had its message box full. They never answered the line for 3 days. So I canceled the transaction with my credit card company.
Very unprofessional; overcharged me for a used part, charged me as if the part was new. When I asked for a refund, he offered store credit...no items in shop were worth $250, the price I was charged for an intake hose. I wouldn't recommend "Dave's new and used auto parts" them to my worse enemy.
Really great place to get used parts. It's like going to the junk yard without bringing tools and getting dirty, and someone knows exactly where everything is.
What do you call a person who sells you a motor that doesn’t work and you ask him to come and see it and even though you are in time
and have you mechanic waiting before you finish the installation and you speak to him on many occasions you plead him to do something and to this very day he hasn’t done anything to solve your problem... well that’s what he is!!
