We made an unexpected stop here between L.A. and Quartzite and we are so glad we did! The people here are friendly and welcoming and it's clear they enjoy a sense of community. The price was reasonable and they had great amenities. We really enjoyed the saltwater pool and hot tub. We enjoyed visiting nearby Joshua Tree, exploring the desert, and watching the amazing sunsets. It was the perfect place to rest and enjoy the quiet. We would definitely stay here again if we are passing through on our travels. Thank you!!
This is truly a wonderful place to be—peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The people here are exceptionally friendly, though there aren’t many around, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The resort itself is very well kept, with a stunning golf course, a beautiful pool, and an all-around welcoming environment. I really enjoyed my time here.
Clean, quiet. Nice amenities. Didn't use the golf course. Mostly long termers & Mobile homes but the have a few sites for short termers. We stayed over night in our trailer. The sites were nicely spaced. Would return.
Great park. Quiet, good walking, golf course. Our spot looking out over the lake was quite nice.
No OTA TV, no wifi, and no cable. Verizon signal was good - 5G.
Beautiful place! Great spot in the middle of the desert to enjoy some peace. Well, if you don't mind the sound of old folk mobbing the trails on their quads and side-by-sides and living their lives to the fullest end, then it's perfect. I can only hope to land in a similar place when I'm that age. Cheers to every single one of them!
Very secluded...quiet, peaceful. If you want a lot of action or need a lot of stimulation, this place is not for you. BUT...if you want an easy, quiet, slow get-away, this is the place. Bring EVERYTHING that you might need.
It was my 1st time visiting here and the only time I did visit because A friend lives there and decided to be super awesome and invite us to spend the weekend there. There's several things to do there, but just remember it does get really hot so make sure you have a lot of water and also food seeing as you're quite a ways from any stores and gasoline stations
We loved this place and the only reason it is only 4 stars vs 5 is due to there not being anywhere to buy a few essentials within 15 miles. Seems a farmers market of some sort once a week during the season would be well suited here. Beyond that there is plenty of desert to explore whether in a Side-by-Side or on a MTB not to mention the Golf Course looks very well kept although we were not able to partake due to weather and our length of stay. The Staff and Residents were beyond accommodating and welcoming!
This was a great little place off the freeway. The young couple that run the place are very sweet and friendly. It's a snowbird place and the summer is brutal. Had sidewalks and grass to walk the pet and it's surrounded by mountains and there is a little lake. It's about 50 miles east of Indio and about 50 bucks less. We would stay here again.
Totally cool place, literally, and especially on a day where it reach 212, this jewel is literally a lake in the middle of the desert. The community is quiet, secluded and when pulled aside in my U-Haul, one of the residents actually asked me if I needed help. I took some great pictures before and after sunset! This is a highly recommended detour of less than 2 miles off the I-10 corridor
Nice 9 hole golf course and VERY reasonable. Good RV park, overnight or longer term, 90% snowbirds October thru March/April. Small residential development all underground utilities, natural gas, sewer, and community WiFi.
Excellent safe neighborhood for children with a K-8 school. One teacher to 8-10 children.
This place has it all. A sparkling pool and hot tub. A beautiful lake near by. Clean and kept grounds we appreciate! The owners are very kind and gracious hosts that really take pride in the property. The people who live in the community are very warm and welcoming. We can't wait to go back and visit soon.
We have been coming to Lake Tamarisk for the last 8 years. We always look forward to returning to the desert and all the activities available to us there. We like to ride UTV's, golf, swim and just enjoy the beautiful scenery, clean air and peace & quiet. There is a nice balance of friendly regulars and visitors each year.
