I am new to the area and needed to pick up a few things. I asked a associate by the name of Faruq where the sugar was & not only did he tell me but he took time out of his stocking shelves to walk me to the aisle, he was smiling & very kind. The store is always clean & organized. Every time I run into him, this young man is smiling, a breath of fresh air to see in customer service.
Today is the last day I will ever shop at this location .Terrible service. Still doesn’t have Apple Pay available at this location. The staff and customers are rough. I bought 2 portable air conditioners that were broke and the attendant lied to me and said my “credit” returned to me would be available for use immediately. She did not explain the return process to me correctly And then lied and said that it would be available immediately on my bank account and it’s still not. Now I’m finding out online instead of three attended that’s supposed to know that it’s going to take days for my credit to come into my bank account.
They allow customers to cut in line. A worker there ran into me because she was not paying attention and had an attitude about it and barely said sorry. Low selection of beauty products and gym wear. How is this considered a Superwalmart location But there’s barely anything there? I definitely would not recommend horrible service!
This walmart never have food it's sad bc it's walmart and they never have anything it's always substitute or lower stock smh this walmart would've got no starts This is not Walmart but MART MARKET
OG Spark driver here. For Kearny’s Walmart to have a higher rating than this Walmart should have been my red flag. This Walmart location barely has drivers yet gave me a hard time the few times I decided to do pick up deliveries. Everyone besides three young men I encountered were very condescending, including a manager. I hope this one star helps to contribute to your rating and I now understand why there are barely drivers at this specific Walmart. Be kind to people and show gratitude and people will be kind back. And thank you much for the experience.
Everytime I go, there's Pallets EVERYWHERE, that Block a lot of essential things that people shop for. Once I witnessed them Refuse Entry to a man, 10 Minutes Before they closed! The man stated that he had to get one thing, then would be right out. It's also Dirty and Very Disorganized!

The parking lot was littered with shopping carts. Plenty of cart return racks are available, but I guess people are too lazy to return them. You already have to bring your own bags, so maybe make people start bringing their own carts, haha. Inside the store was ok. The deli department had one guy working, and he was blaring rap music and doing his own thing. I really despise shopping anywhere in NYC, Jersey, etc
Summer clothing, great selection, a lot of items sizes needed to be restocked. Spent less than I wanted to,unable to find what I wanted.recommend Lee shorts, Levis short, time and true cotton dresses
The “team lead” in tonight was very dismissive and refused to assist. Was not willing to hear my concerns instead said he’s “ not arguing” and walked away, after I asked where the Customer Service hours were listed online or in store.

Secret shoppers are so not subtle. Sick of seeing them around, pretending like they’re shopping. I was in the back of the store contemplating on which printing paper I wanted to buy & this guy with two random things in his hands comes into the isle, acting like he needed something from the school supply section. Now mind you, I was in the same spot for a good 10 minutes and he was still there. Then, the moment I leave, oh look! He walks away.
It makes the shopping experience uncomfortable. But most importantly, I’m definitely not broke to be shoplifting at Walmart, be for real.
I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning experience I had at your store on May 9th, around 8:00 PM. I came in to return a car battery and obtain a refund for the core charge, as I was returning the old battery. I explained the situation to the cashier and provided the receipt I was given at the time of purchase.
She informed me that I needed a different receipt, which I did not have, and I respectfully explained that what I provided was all I received during the transaction. Instead of attempting to help or offer a solution, she abruptly told me she couldn’t assist me. When I asked if she could call a manager, she began yelling at me and insulting me without any provocation.
To make matters worse, another employee—who had no context for the conversation—intervened and started verbally attacking me as well, including calling me inappropriate names. This behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially in a customer service environment.
No customer should be treated this way. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and that appropriate action will be taken regarding the conduct of the employees involved.
Worst experience ever
This is not the Walmart I’m used to. I can to do a simple return in costumer service and this person was clearly having a bad day and she found her costumer to be the target of it all.
The lady in the picture started yelling at me and cut me off with every question I asked. Additionally while I was talking to her she was scrolling on social media. Then to add to it all she went to call the manager and as she walked by me she stuck her finger in my face in a very threatening way.
The manager in the other hand took two minutes to help me a resolved everything and it was quick easy and refreshing.
It was packed with people, but the checkout was decent. They were well stocked and stocking more as we were shopping. The cashier was very nice as well. Given how full and insane it appeared, it was a good experience.
Ordered an online order and they messed up the entire order, sent a driver out 3 times at the wrong delivery times and then told me they can’t issue a refund because of there lack of communication. The order was supposed to be delivered Monday 7-9 they came Sunday at 8pm took my order back cause no one was home( because that wasn’t the time we requested) came back Monday at 12 and my products were damaged. Speaking to the customer service team they could care less and refuse to let you speak to higher ups
I used to be an Avid Shop Rite shopper. Walmart is my new go to for the last 15 years. The best PRICES, QUALITY, cleanliness, friendly workers eager to help.
I think it’s ABSOLUTELY ABSURD that this location has ONLY 3 self checkout registers and 4 for the Walmart + members. It was only 12:30 in the afternoon and the line to checkout was ridiculously long!!! If I didn’t need the items I came in for I would’ve honestly left. People were frustrated and so many complained. The lady in front of me got so upset that she left her one bag of dog food there and just left the store! I don’t think this is fair at all because this tactic is not going to make me or others become a Walmart+ member AT ALL!!!! I am considering ordering from Amazon going forward instead of having to deal with this BS!! Walmart you need to DO BETTER !!!
I usually do not like to go to Walmart Bayonne because most of the workers there do not know how to treat customers well. What's more, today 3/5/2025 at 7:15 am I went to buy a few things and when paying I went to cashier number 11 she was a lady wearing glasses. I said good morning. I and how are you doing? She looked at me and did not answer me and started to check out some purchases. I saw her checking out one item twice. I asked her after shefinished the scan all items can you tell me, please how many purchases u scanned . She was extremely rude and responded to me in a very ugly manner. I don't know. Go away and do it by your self , tell her to talk to you like this. She went to the counter and said, "don’t give me her time. Go away from me Which made me walk and leave all the purchases because I was late for my work. I wish the manager or anyone in charge of Walmart Bayonne would choose employees who have a good customer service really I never go again to Walmart by New Jersey
This review is for the Pharmacy. Roxanne and April and especially Sherri are outstanding employees of this location! I can not say enough about their teamwork at this location. I had an out of state prescription and they worked together to help me get it filled quickly at this store! Thank you for having such a great bunch of people!
Despite all the criticism this is still my favorite grocery store in the Bayonne area. Prices are much better than nearby Shop Rite and Stop&Shop and they carry a very good variety of products.
There are some annoying things such as the fact they limited the self checkout line to 3 machines trying to push their Walmart+ membership but if you go during off peak hours you can always find plenty of cashiers available. During peak hours things do get a little busy.
I walked in, went to buy coffee. I tried paying with my credit card, but found it was negative, so I put the coffee back and left. Then a young African American employee yelled, "Yo, yo!" I turned around and said, "What?" He asked if I had put the coffee back. I was appalled and said yes. I've lived on this planet for 38 years and have never been accused of stealing. The fact that a police officer was there and didn't question or stop me is unbelievable. This employee accused not only a civilian, but a daily customer. Whoever this employee is needs to be fired, or management needs to train employees on how to treat people, especially long-term, loyal customers. Hey Walmart, train your staff better. Not all people steal.
I always find everything I need at this Walmart. Always have fresh fruit and vegetables great bakery section. Awesome rotisserie chicken and deli section and the wait time on the lines are not too bad. I Just don’t go when it’s busy. Also, I do the home delivery service. Great experience with that too.
This walmart shouldn’t be a supercenter, they are too small and it just feels too tight because everything is so close to each other. There are too many things put in the middle and some of the aisles are too small. The worst part is that, considering the amount of people that shopped here, 3 self-checkout system is definitely not enough. Also most of the employees are either not professional or rude, especially in the checkout area at night, they are too busy with themselves and hard to ask for their help.
UPDATE 11/14/24:
7 months later, nothing has been done to address this issue. Instead, there are now four checkout systems in the Walmart+ area that could be used for self-checkout. It feels like they’re intentionally keeping the lines long to push the Walmart+ subscription, which is unacceptable.
I’ve visited multiple other Walmarts in New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Florida, and none of them have only three self-checkout systems, especially not in a supercenter. I’m not alone in this frustration; I frequently hear others complaining while waiting in the self-checkout line. Hopefully, management will take action to improve this. I previously rated this location 2 stars, but I’m updating it to 1 star since nothing has changed in almost a year.
TERRIBLE AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This Walmart is not good at all only go if you NEED to. There are always long 20+ minute lines because they only have three self checkout lanes; and maybe two other lanes with cashiers that don’t know what they’re doing or how to work quickly. All employees can always be seen on their personal devices apathetically working. This location is always dirty and smelly as well.
Came all the way up here in the hope to buy some seeds l saw a week before, peppers and sunflower seeds, all of a sudden all the disappeared and noone has no clue to inform me about, one person sends me to another and another to ask about , nothing.
By the way l guess that it is time for those poor plants in the pics to be watered.
New register intended to make checking faster and easier but they only open half the registers. Which makes the check out time the same. They need to hire more employees to run the new registers the install. The check out experience will not change if they don't. This will help us shoppers a lot.

But we ask a question from another lady, she was super rude to us. She was screaming at us for no reason
We couldn’t understand she was fighting or answering the question.
So we decided not to ask anything
just buy what we see and go home
