Right out of the gate, I had no idea a place like this existed! I came across their business profile while searching for a rather obscure battery type. Given that I do not like to order online and sit at home waiting for items, it was absolutely pleasing to know they had this location where I was actually to stop by and pick up my item and I didn't even have to wait for such item to be ordered, out of stock or on back order! Truly, I would and will recommend this battery emporium to friends, family and even strangers! Shoutout to Mr. Javier, he provided excellent customer service with factual feedback and with high efficiency!
This shop delivers exceptional service! I purchased a high-end battery but had an issue because the negative post was too narrow for my vehicle’s terminal clamp and wanted to return the battery. One of the employees went above and beyond—he told me about a post cap that could solve the problem, and since they didn’t have it in stock, he personally drove to an auto parts store to get it for me. That level of customer service is rare. I highly recommend this store to anyone in need of a car battery!
I was tempted to just buy online, but batteries fail (after all, the one I was replacing did). I've never been let down by a Batteries Plus battery. I was considering upgrading to lithium online, but it was more money and basically no warranty and no way to deal with it if something went wrong. The Batteries Plus lithium battery had a 3 year warranty and really was not that much more and I got it there and now - and they've always been there for me. The guy suggested and sold me a special charger/maintainer for the lithium. I'm happy.
DO NOT BUY CAR Batteries from this company, they won't honor the warranty on the Batteries they sell.
I purchased a Duracell AMG (SLI34AMG) from the now out of business Culver City location on 8/8/2022. The batteries been dying on me and I've had to call AAA to come give me a jump start twice in the last month. I took the battery into the Brea location and had it tested and the associate said "it was no good". Once I told him I had a warranty and pulled up my invoice # on their website he said he "doesn't have it in stock but Santa Ana does".
Came into this Santa Ana location with a receipt I got printed at the Brea store attempting to get a warranty replacement. Ronny informed me that he has to keep the battery for 48 hours and "run some cycles" to determine if it was bad.
I proceed to ask what their return policy was (14 days), I was willing to buy a battery to use while he tested my warrantied battery then return it since I was driving the car that the battery goes to. He replied that I would "need a core" in which I replied "I'll pay for the core". He proceed to tell me that he "couldn't do that (sell me a battery) because I was telling him what I was going to do, that they usually give out loaner batteries but he didn't have one at the moment".
I told him to just keep the battery and run his "test" that I'll figure it out how to get home. While I'm in the parking lot waiting on my uber to take me to the nearest auto zone to purchase a battery Javier comes out with a loaner battery for me.
Now this is a quote from the Batteries Plus Warranty Coverage Policy which states:
"An industry standard capacity or load test will be used to determine if the battery is at least 80% of original rated capacity in which case it will not be considered defective and will not qualify for a replacement. The battery may require charging prior to performing a capacity or load test"
Batteries capacity is based on Ah (ampere-hour). My battery is 55 ah battery when new so I wanted to know where it stood to try to understand why it was giving me problems.
When I came to pick up the battery I asked what the "ah" after the load test was because I wanted to see at what percentage it was from when it's brand new and were I stood with the warranty. They wouldn't give me an answer, Ronny just ignored me while Javier showed me the voltage at 12v (which should be 12.4 minimum) and the amps at 655 when this batteries amps are supposed to be 750.
Since all the Batteries Plus stores are franchisee's they won't honor the warranty, it's no wonder so many have gone out of business!
Next move is to get this battery load tested, determine the "ah" and send in the results to Corporate and see if they will stand by their warranty!
Do not trust these guys with new tech. What should have been a loose connector being connected and instead they completely tore and ripped the inside of my screen to the point the backing of my screen was off. The tech is obviously just posing as a repairman. He ruined an 800 dollar phone and tried to tell me I was responsible for the extra damage and that I had to pay about half the phones worth. Go anywhere else that's reputable and not just some side hustle inside a light bulb store.
I've been going to Batteries Plus for about 10 years now. Quick and accurate service. Great products. Friendly staff that get you on your way as quickly as they can. A pleasure to do business with.
My car battery died and AAA came and said they don’t carry batteries for Range Rovers. Through Google I found this company and was able to make an appointment the same day! When I arrived the gentleman was super friendly, was able to take me earlier than my appointment, knew how to replace my Range Rover battery quickly and did it all within 30 minutes.
Would recommend them to anyone needing a car battery or any battery for that matter!

I came in to check this place out since it is nearby to my house. Came to get my Corolla remote battery changed. I was informed the battery wasn't the issue. He then proceeded to ask me he can check the actual remote to see if it is a functioning remote. Came out that the remote didn't work and I would have to buy a replacement. Felt taken care of and he tried various ways to see if it would work. Would drop by again :)
The staff I encountered were extremely helpful and personable. I needed a replacement battery for my 30 year old scooter that was sitting on Catalina Island (so I could not bring it to the store) and their assurance that it would fit and encouragement that I could return battery if it did not was way worth the extra time and expense of ordering through Amazon (which I had done previously and was disappointed). I opted for ordering my battery through Battery Plus online portal so it would be ready for early morning pick up and it was ready to go with super helpful service. Battery fit my application and engine compartment perfectly. They also took my old battery which afforded me a discount and saved me a trip to hazardous material disposal. This is my goto in the future.

Super easy process. Purchased online removed the old battery drove to the store dropped off my core picked up my new battery drove home installed my new battery. All done in 30 minutes
Memorial Day, lawn mower wouldn’t fire up. I called a few places for batteries and this is the only place open for the day. The staff member was very courteous over the phone and even checked the inventory to ensure my batteries are in stock. Also let me know it’s next to Hobby Lobby so I do t have to look for it.
Took me less than 10 minutes because it’s holiday. The directions helped a lot and I find it right away. Two old batteries in, two brand new one come with me home. Easy.

Had an old phone with dead battery (LG G8 ThinQ) that needed a battery replacement, and saw on a forum somewhere where someone recommended Batteries Plus for reasonable pricing. I got the battery replaced for $66 or so using an aftermarket battery since the OEM no longer made them, definitely worth it in my opinion! This store is honestly awesome! I came in frantically with a broken iPhone screen and they were able to replace it for me really fast and at an affordable price. I was looking for someone that could replace my mom’s iPhone 5 battery and stumbled upon the Santa Ana location of Batteries Plus Bulbs. There were many great reviews and I can understand why. The customer service here was fantastic. Above and beyond my expectations. I was able to get an appointment the same day and the battery replacement was done in less than an hour. My last experience at the Apple store was almost triple the wait. Their prices were very reasonable and they even threw in an extra valuable service at no expense. I don’t expect to have any issues with the battery, but if I do, I know they do provide a warranty. I would definitely recommend them for any battery services you might need. It’s convenient and quick! No sales pressure, knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommended! And what I really loved was the way the sales associate treated the elderly man that was before me, she was so patient and kind to him. I only come here for my key fob battery replacement.

The Owner was very professional and answered all my questions, the store was very clean and well managed. The battery was very heavy and he assisted to remove my old battery from my trunk and put the new one in as I installed it at home. I had many questions on batteries and was very satisfied with his approach and advice.

If you’re coming here for phone repair, get the device checked out first. My phone wouldn’t charge anymore and this shop wanted $160 up front to order the part. My phone also got accidentally dropped during the evaluation. Decided to wait and took it somewhere else. They cleaned off the pins in the charging port and now it works like new. Take your phone somewhere impartial before a repair shop
