California motors direct was solid, Andrew H. was outstanding to work with, they are easy to work with, and extremely fair with pricing. They do add some fees on, however they are willing to take them off, also their pricing beats most other dealerships by far. Trade in process was long, but simple. All in all the process was lengthy, but excellent service.

Came down from Norcal to look at a Honda S2000. Carfax came back perfect, and low mileage too. One of the managers, Kifah, and his employee played hardball with negotiation.
THE LISTED PRICE IS FAR FROM THE OUT-THE-DOOR PRICE. We asked over-the-phone to negotiate, and they told us that the out the door price is only negotiated in store. When we showed up in person, they tried to charge us $3000 for a GPS and some anti-theft tech, and did not budge when we asked to remove it.
After a lot of back and forth, we took the car for a PPI.
ALWAYS GET A PPI!
We found that the car had been in a severe collision, and had a replacement door. There was oil spray from the driveshaft all over the underside of the car, and we noticed that whoever did the oil change used the incorrect filter! We also learned that the car had gotten a respray and rebadging, with the "S2000" badge on the passenger side reading "2000 S." Seriously?
Needless to say, we did not do business with California Motors Direct. We found a better deal on a clean car the very next day.
I don’t know where to start I have been in the market for the perfect condition jeep SRT WK2 and I was I contact with Danny and Mustafa who were I contact with me even before the vehicle was even listed! Once it was ready they were straight up with price no hidden fees all straight. I wanna say tbh is was the fasted purchase I’ve ever had or see with test drive paper work and approval it was all done in combined time of maybe an hour even if that. I wanna also thank the finance team who made a perfect deal such low interest rate! It was in the price and interest rate I wanted! The website is very accurate with how much you will spend and that’s cause there is no hidden fees. But these two were very professional ( reasons why a person will always come back and purchase again.) so happy and very impressed I recommend anyone looking for a used car to come here l!!!

My experience with California Motors Direct specifically with Mark and Kifa, they made this experience very pleasant and spectacular to the point of tears. Mark jumped up to help us when we first arrived and was very friendly and professional through out our entire interaction. We addressed our concerns and they responded with excellent solutions. My experience was terrifically professional from start to finish. We had a crazy schedule and drove through two counties and a ton of traffic just to get there, but Eddie was more than patient. He and his manager actually stayed late to ensure we didn't leave empty-handed.
Eddie simply does not have the word "NO" in his vocabulary. He worked hard to make the numbers work for both the lender and me, getting me into a BMW i4 that is running beautifully. He wasn't lying about the price either—I definitely paid below market value.

I scheduled an appointment to see a 2018 Toyota XLE at 4 PM. I had a busy schedule, and I rearranged and cancelled my own personal plans to make time for this appointment, fully prepared to purchase the vehicle. On the morning of the appointment (around 8 AM) I even received a text confirming that my appointment was set and that the vehicle was ready for me. I had every expectation of seeing and purchasing the car that day.
Instead, just a couple of hours before my appointment, I received a text saying the vehicle had already been sold, with zero prior notice that anyone else was even interested. No courtesy call, no warning, nothing.
When I called the next day for clarification, I was told by Tyler that my assigned assistant, Adan, would call me at 1:15 PM to explain what happened. I never received a call back. I ended up calling them myself, only to be told from another assistant that “at the end of the day we are a business” and will go with whichever sale they get first.
That response made it clear: they do not value communication, professionalism, or their customers’ time. Only the sale. I came prepared, I made space in my busy schedule, and they couldn’t even provide basic follow-through.
If you value transparency or even minimal professionalism, look elsewhere. This dealership has shown none of those qualities.

From the website to the warranty, working with them was so EASY. To be fair, I am a consumer who researchers and knew what car we wanted going in. We were able to work together over the phone and have everything to sign when we got there, NO HIDDEN FEES!
They told us about the lojac, the coating, warranty and even with choosing our options, the price was right and told to us before we got there. We walked in and the mini was exactly like the pictures. We inspect, test drove and signed. Johhny in finance was so fantastic and really is a wonderful person to work with. A straight shooter with a good heart just like Steven L. in sales.
I think leaving reviews when you have a great experience is more important than leaving a bad one. We had such a good experience that every time we look at the car, were just so happy. There was no silly back and forth about bs, they had a great price for the car AND handled the EV credit.

Removing Stars. ( Service after Sale has continued to be Horrible with the Montclair location ). Purchased a BMW on 9/20/25 car was Delivered to Home 2 days Later after the Purchase with ‘Light Sensors On the Dashboard,, yet they still Delivered ( definitely not good judgement on the Dealer’s behalf ). My wife has been working with Mgr Albert & still has not followed through in communicating the status of pending Batteries- now being 3 weeks.
Be aware with this Dealer, once Sale is made & problems occur with your vehicle being only 2 days after purchasing, the Service you get is entirely different since they got your money.
