It's very difficult to find a mechanic you cab trust but evergreen harder to find a mechanic that is honest and experienced to tell you the problem by feel and sound. Then show you, Danny exceeded all expectations on affordability, honesty and trust. He is an expert mechanic you can trust your old car or vehicle to, to last. I found him thru research and plan on seeing him in the future. Thank you so much for your help
I had a trusted mechanic for 30 years, but he retired, Just a few days ago I needed work done, so I had to start cold, trying to find someone I could trust.
God smiled on me, and Danny was my first stop. When I drove up, I witnessed Danny talking with another customer about his car problem. I'm not a pro mechanic, but I know my way around cars a bit. what I observed is Danny discovering the problem, very minor, however it was also a chance a crook would have taken advantage of. DANNY DIDN'T CHEAT THE GUY. HE WAS TOTALLY HONEST ABOUT THE ISSUE.
That right there makes Danny a KEEPER.
My work was 4 motor mounts. Danny suggested I provide the parts (no markup for him), and charged me an EXTREMELY fair price for the work, $255 (remember, YMMV).
His shop motto is "We install CONFIDENCE", and every word of that is TRUE.
Let me add one more thing....I had self-diagnosed the problem, a metallic rattle coming from the right front, as possibly a lifter, possibly a timing tensioner going bad with some chain slap, or even an obscure intake device problem. We took the car (2006 Honda CRV) around the block, AND WE HAD NOT DRIVEN 100 FEET, NOT EVEN ON THE STREET YET....STILL IN THE PARKING LOT, AND DANNY SAID "THAT'S A MOTOR MOUNT".

I went there today for the first time, and my experience was amazing!! Danny and his crew are honest, affordable, and fast!! I highly recommend going to them for any car problems or maintenance. I will definitely ONLY be using him for any of my car maintenance or issues. Most places will take advantage of women, especially charging unnecessary expenses, but here I truly feel their good and honest vibes, and that really goes a long way!!

FOUND MY NEW TRUSTING AND AFFORDABLE MECHANIC!!! I've been taking my vehicle to the Honda dealership since it was under warranty and my warranty just ended. I needed a maintenance repair and was quoted almost $500! Called around to a few places and was also given high estimates until I called Danny's shop who got me in right away even though he was booked. I went in and he thoroughly explained what was ACTUALLY needed and what was not. He pulled out my filters to show me that they indeed need to be changed and he made sure all my questions were answered. He charged me soooooo much less than I was expecting! I am so happy I found his shop and highly recommend his services!
Before coming in, my check engine light had been on for months. I.had an extremely hard time finding a mechanic I could trust, that wouldn't charge me to the moon and back and was honest. I called Danny after a friend referred me and he was able to see me that same day. He walked me through each and every step, made sure I understood exactly what the problem was and assured me I was more than welcome to come back if there were any issues. I can't imagine going to any other mechanic. "Highly Recommend” is an understatement.
Came in for a pre-purchase inspection for a used car, and Danny Jr took care of us. He did a thorough walk-through of the car and explained everything he checked and any issues it had. Also was very fair to both seller and buyer parties. Definitely put my mind at ease with making a big purchase! Will be returning for future work : )

Danny has worked on all of my cars for the last 20 years, and I'm finally writing a review, I just never thought to write a review before. I used to live in Old Town Orange so it was not a big issue take my cars to him, but 5 years ago we moved to Ridgecrest, about a 3-4 hour drive from his place. I still make the drive to see him when I need car repairs. I do not mind spending my money and time driving 170 miles one way to have Danny check my vehicles because he is good at what he does and it is hard to find people to trust when it comes to car repair. Danny's shop speaks for itself. Often time he tells me a repair can wait, or I can go a bit longer before the repair needs to be done. He is honest and straightforward with his estimates and what needs to be done and what can wait. He has often said to me "If is not broken do not fix it"
Danny strives to do things right for his customers and this is reflected in his kindness, and passion for his work. Yes, you need to be patient when you go see him since he and his mechanics are always so busy but he will make time for you. Usually, with just a few minutes of time driving your car, he can give you a diagnostic and an estimate even when his shop is busy. I have found that he will help you if he can or let you know if he cannot, but for sure he will point you in the right direction. It is nice to have peace of mind knowing that Danny is not out to take advantage of me or try to do extra work or overcharge me. On top of his care for his customers, he is funny, and like a good Mexican, he will go the extra mile to help you.

I was considering purchasing a used car and brought it in to be inspected before deciding what to do. This was my first time here and Danny was incredibly helpful and honest. Danny's auto service is the best! They really care about you and have provided me with so much excellent service and advice about my car. My SUV was burning through oil quickly and they were able to give me so much information. Since they had seen this before they recommended I check with a dealership as it was likely covered under warranty. Thanks to Danny's advice I took my car in and it was covered under a warranty. My whole engine needed to be replaced to fix the issue. This is just one of the many times they have provided amazing and friendly service. I'm so thankful that I was referred to Danny's!

It feels so refreshing going to the same auto shop for over a year. This is a father and son's auto shop. The Owner Danny is amazing! Other places try to push things on you that you don't even need. Danny takes his time to give you the best experience. I had my car stuck in Newport Beach earlier today. Instead of going to the nearest auto shop, I decided to get it towed to Danny's. Being out of state (VA) Danny was the most helpful person in CA! He was able to give my car an inspection before a long road trip back home and addressed all my concerns in an honest manner. He gave me great recommendations and gave me the best pricing when shopping around for estimates on brake pads. Highly recommend his auto shop, the entire team does a great job.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Danny and recommend him! I am a young woman, I live in Newport Beach. I have a 15 year old suv and needed my power steering looked at. I chose to drive to Santa Ana because of all of his amazing reviews. Danny recommended that I purchase some new product that was supposed to fix any damage/leaks to the power steering ($16.99) from a store down the road (he called ahead to make sure it was in stock and asked them to hold it for me) and try pouring it in and drive around for a few days.
It worked perfectly, and he didn’t charge me a dime. From MUCH past experience being a young single woman, most (if not all) mechanics would have made me leave the car, they would have run “diagnostics” and hit me with a big bill.
Danny knew I was on a very tight budget and suggested I try this first, and if it didn’t work, he said, we would go from there. Since then I have been back multiple times for small things, a blown headlight, a new tire and I’ll be going back to him next week for my smog emissions test (his friend next door does it).
Danny is TRULY a decent, kind man and he knows how to fix cars! Please go visit his shop - what you spend in gas you will save thousands of times over in car repair costs!!
Danny is amazing! He always do super fast and good oil change at very good price. He knows his job better than any other mechanics I found around this area. He checks my car in great detail and always gives me good advice on car driving and maintenance. Ladies go by yourself to an auto shop will normally been taking advantage of. However, Danny is super honest. He will explain to you what is wrong how he will fix it. His great service and very descent price keeps me as a customer for years. I've been going to Danny's Auto Service for over ten years. Danny has worked on both generations of my Lexus', all my Honda's: Odyssey and Civic, Oldsmobile Silhouette, and my Toyota Tundra truck -- he takes care of them all, keeps my on the road and is proactive with my repairs to keep the costs down ... I enjoy working with Danny because he is patient, a good teacher in explaining the issues and concerns for me to be mindful of and is very reasonably priced. I drive from Irvine to his shop because I know he is a mechanic I can trust. My schedule is crazy busy, so planning ahead sometimes doesn't work for me, but Danny always seems to work me in. Danny works smart and has good relations with his parts providers and has always been able to get various parts in a timely manner while I wait. He runs a very efficient business and his crew has been the same since I've been going there.
