Very nice and honest people. They have been in business for 35 years and do excellent work. In and out in a few hours replacing the rack and pinion on my Silverado. Also recommended other maintenance on my truck which I will do in the future!
The power steering went out on my 2015 chevy silverado. Took it to another shop who had it for 3 weeks and said there were no parts available to replace the rack and pinion. Called J&B who said they had a new or remanufactured rack in stock. Dropped off the truck and had it back the same day. No issues so far. Highly recommend them for power steering repairs.
I was looking for a place to get a rack and pinion assembly and remembered J&B, which was down the street from my home. I called them, and Jesus gave me a great price on part and a fair price on labor. I needed to replace my rear engine mount also, so he offered to replace it and gave me a good price. The steering system feels solid now, and vehicle handling is amazing. If you are looking for parts or installation, this is the place to go for all your steering, axles, and suspension needs. Will be going back when any of my vehicles have issues with these parts.
Got me a refurbish rack for my car. So far it is working good. I do feel a little bit of tag when i turn the wheel all the way. They also do the instalation. I did it my self but when i ask for their prices, they are not bad. I had already taken it off and should have avoided the headache and let them do it.
Hidden Gem. I was recommended by a friend and was happy with the result. I had a full brake overhaul done, and I know a thing or two about mechanic work but wanted this job to simply get done. Luckily, he was able to pinpoint a few details that needed more attention that I anticipated but we were able to work out a deal and he got to work.
What really surprised me is that I was willing to wait for the work to be done but later stated he needed a bit of time to get it all done (pretty big brake job). He did not want for me to just be sitting there, so he offered me a ride back home so that I did not have to wait. I really did appreciate the offer as it gave me back my time to take care of other tasks.
After a few weeks of driving the car, it definitely feels better at braking and the recommended job to be completed did make a different (replacing the emergency brakes).
Thank you all in the shop for a job well done. I will be going back with future jobs and recommendations because he does treat his customers well.
Came by around 11AM and had my car back by 4PM as promised. Did a quick inspection and so far no leaks! The older gentleman was super nice and i would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a rebuild for their rack and pinion. Thanks J&B!
Recommended by my offroad 4Runner friend. They have plenty of steering components for many makes and models! I was lucky enough to find the rack & pinion for my third gen on sale at offerup for only $170. Quickly secured the deal and picked up a couple of days later! Necessary core exchange to save yourself the $125 deposit! They do other work as well and do installations as well! Hit them up! They're open early and close around 6pm! Also 1 year warranty on work and parts with receipt. Will be my go to shop for anything steering related. Thank you j&b automotive
Great place and people here I searched for rack and pinion repair and came across this shop! I got the best deal and work here from Jesus I drove from east la cause they have quality work thanks once again!
Thanks to Jesus and Jesse (father son duo) for taking care of my Lexus when the steering rack and pressure hoses exploded. Best price in OC. They were $600 cheaper than other shops.
I was highly recommended by a family friend . I took my truck to get some work done. I was told that I needed a new oil pan. The charged me the oil pan and that it was install in my truck. All the work that they did came back to hunt me months later . They never replace the oil pan and put a bunch of RTV silicone on it. The oil pan was the original one from the truck cause it has a serial number year and month it was maid . All the work the did . Was not correctly done. I spent around 18 hundred dollars on the work that this shop charged me . I don't recommended any one going there and if so get expected after words . I didn't take my truck back because I know that they where not going to do the job right. I am never doing business with this shop ever .

Got one rack and pinion, leaked after 1 day of driving. Got a second one to see if they were any good after finishing the installation and starting the car, rack and pinion instantly starts leaking profusely. Out the boot. Not buying from these guys again
I went to Lexus dealer, and they said my car has an axil problem and needs replacement, and their estimate was 1200. I found these guys, and they repaired the axil for 162. Plus 1-year warranty. Really honest and awesome guys.
They have made my life easier because when it comes to steering wheel control parts like rack in pinion units or gear boxes or even front wheel drive axles they're the ones I call on so thanks to all of THEM .
