Good place to pick up some extra cash for recycling metals, laptops, computers, phones and other electronics including cables. They also recycle metals such as aluminum and brass for cash.
They wanted to pay me 4 cents a pound for aluminum that was clean. Total scam place the department of weights and measures needs to look into them more for fraud . A different place paid me 66 cents a pound
They quote you 30c for aluminum, but when you drop them, they give you 2c per pond, stating that it is contaminated, even less than 3c per pound for metal. I spent over $700.00 for Uhaul millage, gas, and laborer from San Clemente to get $140.00 for 3000lb of metal and aluminum. A loss of $560.00. If I had dumped them at san juan capistrano county dump site, it would cost me $200.00, a loss of $360. They have a strategy that they will not give you a price when you are there and after dropping the massive load they offer you peanut and tell you if you want to take the 3000 pound back into the truck. When have no choice. A genuine case of bait and switch.
This recycling center paid almost double what a place closer to home offered for my old copper tubing. Not only that, they were pleasant to deal with, easy parking and a quick in-and-out. It’s the only recycling center I’m going to in the future.
They were fast and appeared efficient though they did low, low ball me on the price for scrap steel, they gave me a whooping 5¢ a pound. The posted rate for Friday was $.95¢.
BIG difference
First time here and boy was I shocked and pleased. Disillusionment with a neighboring recycler after years of patronage left me looking for another. Global was right around the corner and literally paid almost double! Staff was especially helpful especially the gentleman at the scales who actually caught the fact that I had some #1 copper mixed in with #2! Jocelyn at the counter completed what was a very quick and pleasant recycling experience. As a plumbing contractor, I accumulate a good amount of copper and brass and I have found my new recycling home.

They're paying $2.78/lb for "bright and shiny" right now. We went on 9/4/22. Which is great since most places in LA county were paying $2.80 that day! Comparable and competitive. Also their layout is simple and efficient, we were in and out fairly quickly.
They don't pay enough for recycling and materials, let me explain.
Be aware that this company even though it disclose that they will pay for the material as scraps and their own price for recycling, their pay prices are very unreasonable
Just know that you are better of going somewhere else.

For several years I have used gmr for all of my recycling needs .They are located very close to my home which made it convenient for me.I am a retired homeowner and extra money always helps Lately I have been told they don't want any walk INS.each day I see walk INS as well as bicycles not being turned away.I feel discrimination for my ethnic background.i have tried to call the owner but they won't speak to me.I really liked this business and feel very disappointed in them
Total discrimination, I came here with my friends BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A TRUCK. And they gave me half of what I brought because I was "over the limit" which other vehicles had more. NO VENGAN AQUI LES ROBAN SUS RECICLABLES, PLANEA VARIOS VIAJES O VENGAN EN CARROS SEPARADOS.

I called to get a quote on a catalytic converter. I told them I have the serial number. They told me I had to bring it in. I brought it to them after 25 min. They gave me a price of $50.00 For a $1,100 to $1,600 converter.

Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful they might have scrapped all my stuff for not separating it I have been here many times and its never been an issue but all they had to do is inform me instead of having an attitude and not even saying answering my hello just speaking spanish amongst themselves . I coulda sworn he gave a weight less than what i saw on the scale but i honestly just wanted to leave they made me wait til all the customers in line where done and while waiting i felt like i was in the way because they were throwing stuff all around me At the end the cashier says if you don't separate your stuff it will be scrapped so did they scrap my stuff or not ? They all coulda told me before i honestly didnt know . the guy kept sarcastically saying these are separated about the other customers items and when the cashier asked arent you going to weigh her stuff he replying an uncaring yea yea very uncomfortable. Just wanted to leave will look for another place.
Easy in and out, competitively priced. As an electrician I recycle lots of copper wire and this has been the best recycler I visited. Staff is friendly and efficient, and drop off is easy. I haven't had to dodge heavy machinery in the unloading area or feel what I was selling wasn't worth their time.

I called in advance to find out what they would pay for 6061 Aluminum chips from my milling machine. The lady quoted me $0.43 cents a pound. I usually take my aluminum chips to a place in Anaheim which pays $0.40 per pound. I thought it was closer and they were giving me more money and I did not have any other business in Anaheim. So I show up and they unload my containers of 6061 aluminum chips from the back of my truck. They weighed it and give me my receipt, paying only $0.18 per pound. They said these are shavings and that was the price for shavings. At that point I was not going load all my material back into my truck, about 800 lbs. I will not be doing business with them again.
