The best customer service I’ve ever received from Rebecca. She answered all my questions as this was my first accident. I felt relieved after speaking to her.

I had a very disappointing experience with Southside Towing. When I picked up my car, it was covered in dirty water and stains because they were washing other cars nearby without any protection. Even worse, I found visible damage on my rear bumper that was not there before. They charged a high fee but clearly did not handle my vehicle with care or responsibility. This is completely unprofessional.

Messed up a couple weeks ago and forgot to put the parking pass on my windshield in front of my house. So I got towed, terrible mistake on my part to forget the pass it was an expensive mistake $540. But when I picked up my vehicle and started it a million errors started flashing on the screen and I asked the guy what did you guys do to my Bronco. Well I come back and check my neighbor's high-def video of it from 2:00 a.m. and they rear wheel lift towed and now my transfer case has been throwing continuous errors since the tow. It is very obvious that my vehicle is a four-wheel drive vehicle and if towed needs to be flatbed towed.

Parked outside my house less than 40 mins and got towed. 425 right off the bat. Located in orange towed my car and got it there at 3:49 and they close at 5? What a great way to entrap people especially with the 100 dollar gate fee. Everyones gotta eat though so keep being a scummy company "Not my fault your car is parked illegally" as my whole neighborhood is parked outside right now the entire day. Sounds about right. Again you gotta make your bread no doubt about it but you guys are by no means consistent with the properties you "patrol"

Predatory Tow – 101 N Manchester Ave Southside Towing towed my disabled Infiniti from visitor parking at 3971 W Orange Ave, Anaheim at 12:25 a.m. on 8/13/25 — even though I had a valid permit from management. Their own website claims their permits “avoid towing tenants and vendors that are authorized to be parked on your property.” I was an authorized visitor, yet they still took it and now charge $83/day storage. Refused to give me the required signed tow authorization. Know your rights before you park — their marketing doesn’t match their actions.

I’m extremely disappointed with this towing company. After my friend’s car was towed, we discovered that her children’s sensory toys were stolen from inside the vehicle. These items aren’t just toys — they’re essential tools that help her children stay calm and regulated. It’s heartbreaking and unacceptable that someone would take advantage of a vulnerable situation like this. We reached out to the company to report the missing items, and there’s been no accountability or genuine concern shown. If your team is responsible for moving and storing vehicles, then you should also be responsible for ensuring nothing is taken or tampered with. I truly hope no other family has to go through something like this.

My coworker and I had met up on our normal spot (past 3 years) to commute to Los Angeles . After a very long day and very long commute back to the meet spot, come to find out that my coworkers car had been taken ! I went in a Carl's and they mention that the tow truck company comes in and asks if that's a employee car. We get to the office and not only they give my buddy a hard time for paperwork although he has a key but they say the property "complain" . I call bs man. And no warning no towing enforced signs . Pure entrapment and highway robbery to pay $425 . I'd understand if there's signage like the one I'll upload but all there was were 'loitering" which states nothing about towing or parking. Do the right thing Southside and place signs and not rob hard working people . Yall charge a 95 for a day storage when the car had only been there for 3 hours. Good old America just looking for a way to take people to the cleaners !

My car was towed and my first interaction was over the phone with D'Angela. She was so kind, helpful and patient. I called several times with several questions and she was just so pleasant. I waited till the early morning to pick up my vehicle and was helped by Rebeca. She, too, was just so nice and kind. I'm from out of town and had to call home, but my phone was almost dead and she lent me a charger, which was much appreciated. I have nothing bad to say about the help I received from these two ladies. My car was in the same condition, so no complaints on that end. As crumby as it is to have your vehicle towed, they made the entire situation a little less stressful. I wish all towing companies were like this!

Or nice enough to tow my son's vehicle off the freeway when he overheated. But when the gentleman was taking the car off the tow truck he ripped the front end off his Audi six. They came to pick it up and fix it that same night. When we picked it up we discovered the front end was zip tied very poorly together and fell apart again we have not heard back from these tow truck people and they've threatened to fight me and all kinds of violent talks stay away from these people they have no Integrity no class

Sitting at McDonald's across the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland. I see a tow man taking pictures of cars. People get off to enjoy a small bite, while the whole time not realizing someone is lerking nearby to take their car. Soon a bill will pass that penalizes towards from private tows unless called for!

The other day, my mom (78 yrs old) and her sister (85 yrs old) had their car towed from a parking lot where they did not read the signs properly to see that the lot closed in the afternoon. It was their mistake, and very upsetting for two seniors, but what made it so much worse was the way they were treated at this business. Judging by some of the other reviews here, I see we were not the only ones that had a terrible experience with the girl at the front desk, who is probably also the one that answers the phone. I'm sure your job at the front desk is difficult and you have to deal with angry people all day. I used to be a claims adjuster so I completely understand how a job like this is very mentally taxing. However, your attitude and the way you treat these people can make the situation so much more stressful for them, and you also. I prided myself on being able to deescalate many contentious situations by simply showing an ounce of compassion - especially for someone who is older. I will just relay a small portion of what happened when I took them to pick up the car: The receptionist told my mom to go over to the gate and she would open it for her to go back and get her registration out of her car. We waited and waited at the gate. It took so long for her to open it, but at that point, I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she got distracted. When my mom paid and completed the paperwork, it became all to clear that she was purposely being difficult. She was on what sounded like a personal phone call. It was hard to tell if she was talking to my mom or the person she was on the phone with. She was sending a very clear message. Again, she said go over to the gate and I will open it so you can retrieve your car. She was still on the phone. Again, we stood in front of the gate and it was not opening. Many minutes went by. I was doing my best to be patient and to keep my mom and aunt patient. That is until I looked back over in the direction of the office and I see that she is now outside, leaning on the wall, on the phone. I went back in and got the attention of another girl farther back from the desk. I politely said "Excuse me, is someone going to open the gate for us?" Just then, the front desk girl was coming in the front door (presumably because she saw me go back in) and the other girl said, "Yes, someone will open it for you right now." And the front desk girl then opened the gate. I know I am going to get a computer generated cookie cutter response to this. Either you need to hire someone who has the necessary people skills to handle this public-facing position (and again, I know it is not an easy job), or you will continue to get bad reviews here. Maybe you don't care. My point again is that you can try to make things easier for yourself, and for others, by showing some compassion and helping them understand, or you can make things more difficult. It's a choice.

California private property towing laws, contained in Section 22658 of the Vehicle Code, set out specific rules for property owners that limit the circumstances under which they can call a tow truck to remove a vehicle. One of the most important requirements is that they notify the vehicle owner before towing their vehicle. That can take a few different forms, such as: “NO PARKING” signs: The signs must be in plain view, at least 17 inches by 22 inches, and posted in plain view at all entrances. The signs must also include the name and number of the towing company that the property owner has an agreement with, along with the number for the local traffic law enforcement agency. Notice of parking violation: If the vehicle has been issued a violation notice, the property owner can tow the vehicle after 96 hours. Inoperable vehicles: If the vehicle is missing an engine, a transmission, wheels, tires, a windshield, or anything that would make it impossible (or illegal) to operate on a public road, the property owner can tow the vehicle if they first notify local law enforcement and wait 24 hours. If your vehicle is towed by a property owner who fails to comply with any of these requirements, they’re legally responsible for double the towing and storage fees for the vehicle. Called this tow company for information and the girl that answered is extremely unprofessional and rude. I will file a claim because I'm sure they are in violation of a couple of laws. My truck was towed within 30 min of arriving regarding there supposed laws, CA laws are what they should be abiding by. Will figure this out on court since I have nothing better to do right now. Always taking advantage of people's hard earn money

I don’t understand how these people can sleep at night knowing how much they rob regular people. They held my car at their facility and refused to give me the address over the phone. The woman who picked up the phone probably lives a very unhappy life and is unhappy with the life of answering the phones at 7pm. I feel bad for the miserable life she has. I had to call the police to get my car back from them because they refused to give me pertinent information (address) on how to get it back.

My car was towed from my complex for parking in the wrong spot during construction. That was my bad, i can admit to that and this company has arrangement with the complex where I live. The problem is they towed my car from the front and jacked my bumper pulling it from the hood. At least handle the vehicle with some professionalism. This serves my community, and other reviews have warned about car damage. I didn’t think there was a problem til I heard my car going over a speed bump on the way home. I will be going to the HOA meetings and suggesting an alternative. Family members and friends park here and sometimes mistakes happen and someone parks where they don’t need to. I get it, your job is to tow. Just don’t be negligent with people’s property if you are licensed to properly handle said property.

Unfortunately, my friend had his car towed from a nearby luxury apartment complex. I’m very wary and suspicious of the collusion that this company had with a foreman apartment complex. You didn’t take 30 minutes since my friend parked in the wrong space that the towing company not only had been called, but was allowed to access through the highest security gates that was needed to enter into the parking structure. In addition, as outlined in the pictures, this towing company had various pricing structures based on the “type” of towing that needed to be done. Even though all its services are identical! I can’t believe such businesses exist today. It is as if they run a legalized scam. It must not feel very good working for businesses like this. Avoid this at all cost!

This morning, my fiancé’s car was towed, and I was shocked to find that the fee was $570, despite picking it up just a few hours later. When I inquired about the reasons for the towing, I was informed that they are not required to provide any pictures of the violation. I expressed my concern that this policy allows for arbitrary towing, and the representative confirmed that it could happen. When I requested her name, she refused to provide it. During our conversation around 11:30 AM, I mentioned my intent to take further action, and she warned that I could be counter-sued if I did. She also refused to give me an email address, prompting me to call back and request to speak with a manager, which I did. I want to share my experience, as it seems this company is taking advantage of individuals without providing proper evidence for their actions.

had my car towed and taken by southside at 1:30 am (according to the lady I spoke to on the phone, she sounded like she hated what she did and was just rude in general offering a snide "sorry" after it all.) When I go to pick up my car, I find out that whomever picked up my car cracked my front bumper into two different pieces, so ON TOP of me having to pay all this money to get it out, I had a busted bumper and a manager's card in hand. Shoutout to Rebecca, though. She was amazing at how she was able to work with me and get me the proper information and who to talk to, plus she seems like she has a good heart, unlike the first lady. Fast forward a week and a half later, after back and forth messages with the manager and a couple periods of time with no updates, I stopped by and was curious how things were moving along. Shortly following this, my car was on it's way to the shop for repairs. Overall, do whatever you can to avoid having to deal with towing companies in any capacity. They don't care about you, they just want your money. As for Southside itself, they did make the necessary efforts to get my car fixed and return it to me better than how they found it. If I were to offer one piece of constructive criticism: hire more people like Rebecca

I accidentally locked myself out and left my phone inside the car as well. Luckily I noticed a man with a towing jacket and asked for help ( I believe he was off work already) and he ended up calling his coworker to go and help me. His coworker Justin arrived in a timely manner and and was so kind . He was able to open my door. GOD BLESS them both . Thank you so much!.

Horrible place. Extremely rude staff, asking for the documents that cannot even ask for. The lady over there told my boyfriend that she can ask for those documents because that is ‘her location.’ That is an absolute absurd. When they were towing away truck, they broke the brakes on the truck. So, who would be responsible paying those bills? PHRASE CUSTOMER SERVICE does not even exist there.

Hello, as a recent victim of someone getting their car towed, I had a pretty unique experience to say the least when approaching the window to get my car back at your location today. From the very start at around 11:35, as soon as I approached. I'm confused. There's only a window with no lobby. Everything is closed for the most part, but I see trucks coming in and out of the lot close to the window. I waited for 5-7 minutes before being greeted by one of your agents. From the get go, she was rude. I've never gotten my car towed from your company before. Never had an experience where I had to make an appointment before calling in. Never before where your hours are predicated to business hours so you can charge more on the weekends which is very interesting on how you guys want to operate your business. All this confusion was just me trying to understand the price tag that your agent (Evelin) was having a very hard time explaining to me as I was trying to understand why my tow was as expensive as it was. Evelin to say the least was extremely rude. As a person who has to work in customer service myself, she made me seem like I was the one who was giving her problems when all I'm trying to do is understand why I'm getting charged the price tag that is in front of me. She was extremely disrespectful. Raising her voice at me and claiming that I was the one "making things difficult" when she could barely answer questions without being disrespectful. I doubt her name is even Evelin at this point, but I assume you know who was working on Sunday 5/5/2024 in the morning/noon hours. One thing your customer service agents need to understand is that getting charged $393 is not easy on anyone, and I'm sure anyone who is getting charged this amount of money is going to have questions. Terrible customer service from your location. And definitely unreasonable business practices if you honestly ask me. The cherry on top is when I asked for her name, she was like "make sure you spell it with an 'I'." LIke you really wanted to drive your point home, didn't you. Your driver, on the other hand, was very respectful and understood my sentiment when I mentioned the situation. But the customer agent who's supposedly named Evelin with an I? Terrible. She shouldn't be working customer service or if she is, she needs to change up her attitude.

Accidentally dropped an item at the lake forest location, called the number a the person who picked up was awesome. Very professional and advised she would check. Called me right back and said they had the item that an employee spotted it on theg ground and collected it for safe keeping and they were trying to figure out who it belonged to. She helped coordinate me being able to pick it up. Picked it up and the person working the office the office was very professional and knew exactly what I was there for. Top notch! Can not say enough good things about the honesty and integrity of these folks.

Definitely not giving 5 stars for my car getting towed, that blew. But that wasn’t their fault, I had called my property manager to let them know that my car battery was dead and I had managed to get it to the loading zone to wait for AAA for a jump, the property manager failed to get the message to the tow company. The 5 stars is because when I got there and explained the situation, the employees at southside towing were very sympathetic of my situation and jumped my car for me so I didn’t have to call AAA again. I got the name of the front desk clerk as she was amazing! But I lost it, so for whoever looks at your Google reviews, she was working at 10:30am at the front on Friday April 5th, she was so kind and made a terrible morning a lot less awful and stressful than it could have been.

This business is unbelievably remarkable I would never expect such kindness and service from a towing company. From the first phone call to the initial meet at the tow yard every person I came across was sincerely concerned about my situation and how they could help. the kindness that was shown is a very rare thing. it blew my wig back Abe Ryan Jason Betsy and Evelyn thank you so much for making a situation that is already unpleasant a lot easier to deal with the trust Factor skyrocketed and I would recommend this business to anyone five stars I give you 10 if I could

How can any experience be more than a two star. Were they courteous. Yes absolutely in person and over the phone absolutely. Does that change the negative impact this had on on my finances. Was it my fault. 75 percent yes. Does that realistically make a difference .No it doesn't. They are quick and I was able to get car out fast. I hope you never have to use their service. To be clear I have only used their impound service. I do not know if they offer roadside assistance.

PARASITE COMPANY !!! Feeding off other people’s hard earned money. Car was there less than 1 hour and got charged $540! Highly predatory business and rude! Going to call the cops to check the rates they charged us. Outrageous. Also don’t charge OC Sheriff or Orange Police rates published. Charged CHP rates although wasn’t pulled off highway. Illegal and fraudulent operation. While there also saw one of their drivers exiting the property and almost driving over two kids on their bikes riding in bike lane. He almost crashed into them and kids were yelling to stop, but he didn’t care sitting high up in his tow truck. Rude company. Bad business.

This entire company is changing the outlook of the towing industry. Honest people who care about their employees and reputation with their communities!!! If they have your vehicle, you know it’s in good hands!!

A thief company and workers more than thief’s they were laughing when I came. I came and they just towed the two cars, We parked the cars for an hour at a cafe and I went with my friend to walk for an hour, and suddenly when we came back we didn’t find the cars. I opened my phone and tried to locate my car and I found the towed location. They charged us $530 per car for less than 1 hour since they towed the cars and for no more than 2 miles away. Just Really disappointed on what’s going on in our country. People take advantage of the current situation.
