Come here if your looking to buy not browse. You’ll get the best deal on a Tesla in OC and you’ll be out the door in 20 minutes. They do care about their customers and even fixed a few blemishes on the car free of charge after I bought. They make money of volume, so their goal is to get the car of the lot as quickly as possible.
Do not buy from this dealership! Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. I was also charged extra for a full charge on the vehicle, before I even had possession of it, something that should’ve been standard. The “ceramic coating” they lied and told me they put on my car barely lasted three weeks before fading completely. The car came with bald tires and an audio system that constantly malfunctions. On top of that, I still haven’t received my permanent license plates after all this time. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This dealer is dishonest and will not honor their commitments once they have taken all your money. They especially go back on oral promises. If you still decide to buy from them, please make sure you get everything in writing and in hand before making the final payment. Do not trust their words—they will lie to you.
Here is my painful experience:
I bought a Tesla three months ago. The dealer promised me that once I completed the payment, they would deliver the car to my home with all the accessories included.
But when the car arrived, several promised accessories were missing. The dealer told me they didn’t have everything in stock and would ship the rest later. I trusted them and waited for months, constantly following up. Each time, they just replied “will do!”—yet nothing ever arrived.
Worse still, after two months, I discovered the car itself was missing some essential auto parts. I asked the dealer repeatedly. At first, they told me to “check some places in the car” (ridiculous!). After that, they stopped responding altogether—ignoring my calls, messages, and emails.
All of these were commitments they made before I paid in full, but once they had my money, they did absolutely nothing. This is not just negligence—it is deception.
I strongly urge everyone: do not buy from this dealer. If you still want to take the risk, never pay in full until you have received everything promised. Do not trust their commitments—they will break them.

I had an excellent experience at OC Chief Auto while shopping for a used Tesla 3 for my son. They were polite and professional, offered a very fair price, and easy financing. I was able to get the tax credit and they even informed me about a $1,500 DWP rebate for the purchase which I did not know about. One criticism, to watch out for, the website is not always up to date, so the selection I saw online was not close to what they had in stock that day, so always call or check in advance before just assuming there are dozens of cars on the lot, when there are generally less. Notwithstanding this, I was able to get a great deal on the car I was looking form.
My friend already got 3 cars from OC Chief Auto, he recommended me, so I came here looking for a Tesla Model Y and had a great experience. The team was very helpful and made the financing process fast and easy. They showed me all the reports for the car upfront. Really appreciate the honesty and smooth process—thank you!

I had an outstanding experience at OC Auto Chief. Faisal (John) Deys made the entire process smooth and stress free. He helped me get into a fantastic used Tesla at the lowest price I could find anywhere in Southern California. Unlike other dealerships that tack on endless fees, OC Auto Chief was completely transparent with no hidden costs. The price was exactly as advertised, fair, and unbeatable. They also have a wide selection of cars, with far more Teslas available than the 3 to 5 you might see at other dealerships. Faisal was easy to work with, honest, and genuinely cared about getting me the best deal possible. I highly recommend OC Auto Chief to anyone looking for a car and it was the best dealership experience I have ever had!
This is one of the best and most honest dealerships out there!! They do NOT charge for any random stuff that you don't need/get. The price you see is the price you get (before taxes)!!! Before OC Chief Auto, I went to multiple other dealerships and each had their own way of trying to make a profit off their cars (ceramic coating, new/aftermarket wheels, extended protection, etc.) Each one of those items costing about $2000. I really wanted to get a Tesla but without Tesla money. They have a whole list of inventory and all cars are unlocked for easy viewing. In addition to their great prices, they also have a free car detail with every purchase. They detail your new car from bumper to bumper, interior, and even give you a ceramic coat all for FREE. They have contracted detailing people set up and detail all the cars all day. There is no sort of cutting corners as far as I can tell. The staff there is very nice and I would highly recommend heading there in person to shop for cars. Initially I tried to reach them over the phone but I couldn't get a hold of anybody. Turns out they were completely swamped with calls from the loads of people checking out their inventory. There's no way they can handle all of those calls while also taking care of each customer with detail and care. The staff are all very nice and greets you with a smile and are more than happy to help you on your car buying journey. Jeff is the man!! Jeff is the lot manager there and he was super joyful to take me out on a test drive. Jeff is humble and very energetic even after his 20+ test drives of the day!! He ensures that everything is okay and really helps you look around the lot to find the car you want. Nick was the man who helped me reserve the car and made the buying process very easy. He was super attentive and was super lenient on my car buying situation. He helped me reserve the car even when I wasn't yet able to do the paperwork yet. Nick was extremely kind and easy going. Nick got my paperwork finished in about 45 minutes, which was the fastest experience I've had to date. He transferred ownership through the Tesla App immediately and I now own a Tesla! All of the people at OC Chief Auto are very kind and honest. I would highly recommend going there for your car if you're looking for a Tesla for a good price. Please be sure to come in person to experience their kind hospitality!! You will not regret giving these guys a look at!!
I wish I could leave a positive review, but I need to protect future customers. I actually liked the sales staff, and they even asked me to leave a great review to counter the bad ones. I really wanted to. As someone connected to many small businesses, I know how unfair reviews can be — but in this case, this review is well deserved.
OC Chief Auto advertises the $4,000 Used EV Tax Credit prominently on their website. That was a major reason I visited their lot. Throughout the process, the sales rep emphasized how great of a deal it was because the car I was buying “qualified” for the credit.
The contract listed the vehicle at $24,999 — just under the $25,000 federal limit. But buried in the paperwork was a $500 “accessory fee.” I specifically asked about it and was told it was structured that way to help me “qualify” for the credit.
Fast forward to tax season:
My EV credit was denied because the dealership never filed the required IRS Energy Credits Online (ECO) time-of-sale report. I spent days calling, being put on hold, transferred, and disconnected — never receiving help or a resolution.
When I dug deeper, I discovered the truth: that $500 fee pushed the “sale price” to $25,499, which disqualified the car entirely under IRS rules.
So not only did I pay an extra $500 in junk fees for nothing, but I also lost out on a $4,000 federal benefit I was repeatedly told I would get. When I reached out to management, there was no accountability, no apology, and no attempt to make it right — only silence and avoidance. These people do not deserve good business. I'm glad the sales rep got a few more dollars for their commission, though. Unbelievable.
This experience was misleading and financially harmful. Future customers should know: just because a car is advertised at $24,999 does not mean they're going to sell it to you at that price. Pay very close attention to the fees added to your contract, and don’t rely on verbal assurances.
I trusted OC Chief Auto at their word, and I was left with nothing but frustration, wasted time, and thousands of dollars lost. Do not trust these guys. If you make a purchase here, do not let them speed you through anything. Completely protect yourself and your decision.
Update – September 12
Since then, I received one email from them asking me to send the VIN number so they could check if there was any repair history after purchase. I sent the VIN, but it has now been about two months with no response. I also left a voicemail, but never received a call back.
It is clearly suspicious that the car was sold as having no accident history, yet the door design is different on the left and right sides. The dealer may not have noticed this issue, but their follow-up has been far too slow.
At this point, they are completely unresponsive.

After the purchase, I noticed that the driver’s side door is clearly different in design from the passenger side.
The Carfax report stated there was no accident history, but this inconsistency strongly suggests that a repair or replacement may have been done without disclosure.
I’ve contacted the dealer to ask for an explanation and assistance with repair costs, but I have yet to receive a clear response.
I’m very disappointed with the lack of transparency.
Depending on how they choose to handle the situation, I am willing to update this review, but for now, I cannot recommend this dealership.

Okay, I’ll be honest. I bought my car back in March, and waited 6 months to give a review. Let me tell you, after 6 months I’m still very very happy with my purchase! OC Chief Auto does a great job of tailoring to your needs. Overall process took 3 1/2 hours and that included a trip to Navy Federal. It was the best car buying experience to date. No haggle prices.
Misleading Listings and Questionable Sales Tactics – Be Cautious
There’s a reason OC Chief Auto has so many negative reviews. I drove nearly an hour to visit the dealership after getting little to no response online. When I arrived, I quickly realized many of their online listings were either sold or outdated, especially those priced well below market value. These seem to be kept up deliberately to bait potential buyers.
When I asked the front desk associate about specific listings, she claimed she hadn’t seen them and wasn’t familiar with the vehicles—even though OC Chief Auto specializes in Teslas and likely receives the same questions regularly.
What was most concerning is their pricing strategy: I was told the listed price reflects a post–EV tax rebate amount, meaning the dealership advertises cars under $25,000 to appear eligible for federal incentives—but they keep the rebate, not the buyer. I’m not sure if this is legal, but it’s certainly misleading and unethical.
After that, they tried to redirect me with an Excel sheet of other vehicles that were all above the EV rebate price range.
If you’re shopping for a used electric vehicle—especially a Tesla—be extremely cautious with OC Chief Auto. Ask detailed questions upfront, and don’t assume the price you see online is what you’ll actually pay.
I purchased a 2022 Model 3 Long Range from this dealer a few months ago. First and foremost the car has been fantastic. No issues whatsoever and its perfect for my long commute for work. On top of that the service was excellent. Marco was an absolute pleasure to work with. I forget the name of the salesmen who helped us but he got us the car we wanted to test drive within 5 minutes of arriving- no appointment. Marco made the process seamless and easy. He was upfront and honest about everything and didn’t try to add on any extra charges for crap like “powdered tires” or “ceramic coating” like other places I visited. He made sure to go over everything in detail to ensure that we were all on the same page before moving on. It was a holiday when I went in so I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get the car that day but Marco hustled to make sure it happened within the little time we had. 10/10 service and Marco earned our business. Will definitely be back when it’s time for another purchase.

Thankfully, Faisal helped me find an even better deal than the one I came in for. He also made sure if I qualified for the EV rebate and even the Edison rebate, which saved me a lot. Awesome store and awesome family ran business. They are so good at what they do that Tesla 's are sold the same day they bring them in. I came in to buy one Tesla that I liked and it was already sold by the time I got there but they had one in stock ready for me. I came in with a trade-in and they gave me a great value to help me leave the same day with a newer car. Also they love military veterans. After I purchase my new car they gave me a free wall charger to charge my new Tesla while I sleep. I cannot express enough of my appreciation and hard work that they do here. Great job guys!
