I purchased a used 2019 Infiniti QX60 engine from Premiere. We followed all required pre-install steps (new oil pan, valves, filters, inspection). The engine appeared fine visually, so we installed it. After installation, we ran two oil changes and started the engine. There was immediate loud knocking. Infiniti diagnosed a severely stretched timing chain. This issue cannot be reliably identified before install because the chain tensioners only engage under oil pressure when the engine is running. Infiniti confirmed the engine never had any chance of operating correctly in the condition it was sold.
I paid ~$4,500 for the engine and ~$2,500 for installation. Premiere said they would accept a return, but they require me to pay for engine removal, shipping, and a restocking fee (~$1,500+). Even if they covered removal and shipping, I would still be $2,500 out-of-pocket for the installation of an engine that was defective from the start — and currently, no one is offering to cover any of these costs.
Premiere advertised this engine as “tested and inspected.” I specifically expressed that I could not afford to receive a faulty engine. To date, they have provided no inspection report. I am requesting a full refund and that Premiere cover removal and return shipping of the defective engine. Expecting the customer to absorb all financial loss for a product that was never functional is unethical and unacceptable business practice.
this is scam company, avoid at all costs, they will call you and promised you to send the best part they have, i purchased transmission from them showing a low mileage on their website but when i received it its not actually not, they promised they will sent a low mileage when the parts received it has a tag with a high mileage on it and beware they it comes with 3 or 5 year warranty on it, but they will send you the parts first before they sent you the warranty and on the warranty its shows a bunch of restrictions where you can't send back the parts to them even it their fault, (on my case they sent me a faulty transmission) and they dont want to take it back because what stated on the warranty, this people are scammed, employees are with english name but the accent seems came from other county, if you people still decided to Order with this company, make sure you get all the detail and the warranty where they have fine print where you wont be able to send back the items you order
Warning this business is fraudulant. They send out parts that will not work and refuse to refund and take the part back. They are rude and unprofessional and very few of them speak english well enough to communicate well.
Would not buy anything from them! Was sold an engine that was suppose to be grade A. Received engine that had worn camshafts and broken timing chain parts. Customer service would not send another engine or refund money! Frauds!
I placed a order on 11/30/2024 of a civic engine I ordered a grade A engine I ask salesman when ordered is there anything I need to do when I get engine salesman said no and by the way I paid to get engine shipped to my home with forklift service I get a call from shipping company that I had to pick engine up at the terminal so I picked up engine at terminal get home unloaded off my truck to look over to put back in civic there were many things I had to do before putting in my civic I had to replace timing belt and water pump and timing belt cover that salesman said nothing would have to be done the timing belt was broken and timing cover missing and timing belt tension pulley bolt stripped out I had to fix to keep from timing belt from flying off and then the valve cover bolts were stripped out had to fix that before putting in engine and the throttle body was broken and salesman said when I purchased this engine that I had a warranty on this engine I reached out to premier auto parts by call and email on Dec 26,2024 as of Jan 06,2025 I have yet to be contacted back so I will never buy anything else from this company they failed in my experience. A good, legit company. I ordered a used transmission from them and it shipped across the country in about a week. Unfortunately it was the wrong transmission for my vehicle(I took a gamble and lost) and it had a broken sensor on it. I contacted the company for a full return and they were able to refund me. Frank and Stan were very helpful and professional!
I had a problem with a sale. The salesman involved was not accurate in what he stated about the part. I was not happy about the transaction. The owner reached out to me and immediately remedied the problem. It is a great experience to deal with a company that wants to treat their customer right!
I purchased a used engine recently from them and I must say that the product i have received is of a good quality and it becomes difficult to comment and compare it with the new engine. Thank you team for providing me a better product.
