We had our pre purchase inspection done here on our Volvo xc90 inscription. The staff were friendly and the inspection went well according to the shop. Since owning the vehicle for a few months we have ran into coolant leaks and also a bad air-conditioning core. I don’t know if it’s standard to pressure test systems for pre purchase inspections but next time I’ll ask for it.

This place is as honest and helpful as can be! My 2016 honda HR-V had transmission issues that since Honda can only work on their cars transmissions they didnt charge me a diagnostics fee. Very nice and helpful crew here. Even though i live in long beach this is where I will always bring my cars for now on. Thank you guys!!

Martin is trust-worthy, reliable and accountable. He is my go-to point of contact for Coastline Auto Care. It's nice to have someone you can rely on when it comes to suggested repairs and that can be counted on to fix problems when/if they occur. He has earned my confidence and trust.

I’m sitting in M&N Coastline Auto parking lot at 6:30 am after $2000 in repair bills for breaks and such and now my van has knocking and swaying in the front end. Not happy at all that I have to bring my vehicle back here. I’ve never taken my vehicle to someone other than the dealer and this experience has taught me I was right in taking my vehicle always to the dealer. I’ll follow up with M&Ns response to this issue.UDATED! I get here and am greeted rudely with the guy complaining how overwhelmed he is because no one else is here! DON’T BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! THE FRONT SERVICE GUY IS RUDE! RIGHT AWAY DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! TOLD ME TO COME BACK ANOTHER DAY!

Really good experience here. The guys that work here really took care of us like if we were family! It was our first time coming to this shop. I will definitely recommend them to everybody now.

I had the timing belt on my car replaced by them around 9 months back, and it recently broke under warranty. These guys went above and beyond in the fixing process, as they not only fixed the timing belt system, but the other issues caused by the timing belt at no extra cost to me. They were respectful, honorable and kept in good contact with me throughout the whole time, and I could not be more grateful. Stellar performance, would recommend to everyone.

PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS AND GET SECOND OPINION!!I went here for an oil change they said they would check my truck .They found a couple of things wrong with it for a whooping bill of over 3k .Red flag was when they wanted to charge $650 for breaks!!! I called my older mechanic he said even with new rotors it would come out to $350 max!! They have people skills and very friendly but they OVER OVER CHARGE trust me you will save hundreds if not a thousand or two like I’m saving I’m also getting better parts and trustworthy service!!

I came in here for an oil change and was told I need almost $4,000 worth of work on my car. I went to my old mechanic for a second opinion and was told everything I needed would come out to about $900. I wanted to give Coastline a chance but these guys aren’t honest. Save your money and go somewhere else. It’s hard enough out here already without auto mechanics trying to rip you off.

Friendly staff, "Mike" was my service manager. Friendly, knowledgeable, did not push for additional repairs. They checked what I suspected was an issue They checked and confirmed it. I missed the shocks leaking oil, so I got those replaced. We are taking a long car trip, so we wanted a safe car.

This place used to be my go-to shop for all my repairs. They do great work, But I will probably not return here for my auto needs. I need a shop that I can trust. I'm not too happy that they tried to up sale me on things that I personally replaced the week before saying they are worn out and need to be replaced, said I had a brake light out without actually looking to see if I really did have one out.The only one I trust there anymore is Ben. I have been a loyal long time customer. And expect the honesty and trust in return. Not service writers that I don't trust and no quality control.

Mike was great. Although we had a rough start he was able to fix all the issues my mom needed fixing. He answered all our questions and gave the information we needed to decide what to do. My parents and myself have been bringing our cars here for over 10 years.

Have brought all three cars here in the last month. Service is excellent, and they do a great job working to find ways to cut costs/extend your parts to help out. Always call and clearly explain the problems, and are happy to answer any and all questions. Will continue to bring all cars here for everything.

I had a check engine light that came on so I took my vehicle to the dealership but they didn't fix the issue and were not being upfront about the costs. I took it to Coastline and they said they would take a look. Turns out my truck was still under warranty so they waived the diagnostic cost and informed me of my coverage after calling up GM themselves. They even offered to help me deal with the dealership if they gave me trouble. I rate 5 stars for their honesty and integrity. A++++++++

We have been customers for more than 5 years. We take our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado Truck and our 2010 Lexus ES350 to Coastline. They are honest, reliable, and attentive. They tell you what needs to be done now and what can wait until the next time. We always feel prepared ahead of time for any major service items. We highly recommend Coastline to all of our family members and friends.

I am a LOYAL customer of this place and I’ll tell you why... I don’t think it’s worth talking about their repair services because I believe there are plenty of local places that will do a perfectly fine job fixing your car. I am a loyal customer because of the way Coastline operates its business and the way they treat their customers. Most car service places see a young woman (like me) and immediately get those little cartoon dollar signs in their eyes. I have learned to deal with those places trying to scam me over the years but I love that I don’t have to worry about that with Coastline. They are so KIND and respectful. I have never felt nickel and dimed by them. In fact, I’ve been talked out of a service by Coastline even though it was something they could have made a chunk of money on. I’ve even had instances where I had a small service done and walked out the door without being charged a cent. I would have handed my credit card over without question, but these people get it. They get that doing their customers a favor here and there does so much more than squeezing money out of them anywhere they can. I have recommended them to a lot of people and will continue to do so.

I’ve been a Coastline Auto customer for over 20 years. Their service is always outstanding and their prices are very reasonable. I used to live in Long Beach and work in Los Alamitos so it was so easy to get my vehicles serviced. I’m now retired and living in South OC and I make the drive for them to service my truck. They are worth the drive??

I have always had reasonable, fair and prompt service from Coastline. They are always honest and up front with analysis of my auto needs, I don't always like the prices but that is to be expected in today's market. Now I do shop around before servicing and usually wind up at coastline. They have a comfortable waiting area with coffee, etc. Now one caveat, they are usually very busy on most all days, so be prepared to wait or have a ride home until your repairs are finished. Generally they will give you a ride home if you are located in the area.

I was at lunch when I called to see if they could do a check on my battery. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and said they were a little busy but to come down and they would check it anyway. They checked the battery, informed me I needed a new one and were able to install a new one right then. I only waited for about an hour and 15 minutes, which was great since it was last minute. All in all this place had excellent customer service, a reasonable price, and the cleanest waiting area I've ever seen in an auto shop.

Outstanding service and very honest. Ben and Gary have been my service writers for the past 16 years and I've always been happy with the service. Rest assured that they know what they are doing and they are the best at it. Good work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't good. We all need our cars to serve is and coastline is the best place to take care of them.

I have been going to see Brent and his crew for over 20 years now and they have always done a great job on our cars. They are clear with what they are going to do and will always let you know what else you vehicle might need without any pressure. Their prices are reasonable and will always honor their coupons and discounts.

I did an early drop off on a Saturday morning for a couple of issues including my check engine light being on. They called within a few hours to let me know the issue and they were not at all pushy when I decided to get only one of the 2 issues fixed. The service was quick, the employees were extremely nice, and the price was very fair. I would definitely go back.

I've been to them about 6 times over the years and they are a HARD SELL shop. You've been warned. They're close to my work, so I go back, but this last time was over the top and I bought into it, against my better judgement. I went in for a Transmission flush which they charge $150, and asked them to check the other fluids, seemed fair, right! My final bill was over $1600 when I picked up the car. due to the many things the sales talked me into doing via a "you need this" kind of push conversation. I left with a sick feeling and lessons learned. I've owned and operated a computer repair business in Los Alamitos for 25 years and feel it is unethical to use the trust relationship to push clients into replacing unnecessary items for profit before their usefulness has worn out. Coastline Auto Care is one of those businesses that justifies their "Replace Everything" sales pitch with a "we're just doing our job" slogan. It matters not to them if there is still good value in the items being replaced. Sandy

I have been going to Coastline for over 25 years. Ben and the guys there have always been GREAT! Excellent service at a fair price, my truck is always ready on time or before! They tell you what you need but never try to sell you more than you need. If something can wait till a future date they will always suggest that. I live in South Orange County now, but I still bring my truck for service at Coastline Auto. That is how highly I think of them!

I've been to this site many times for maintenance like oil changes and have bought tires. Have always been treated well and they get the work done properly. I have taken advantage of their waiting room. The people at the front desk were very nice. I will use this business in the future.

My family & I have been going to this location for about 20yrs back when it was GT Automotive, many of the people there stayed even though new owners took over. I would never take my car anywhere else. I know when I bring it in, they're going to be honest with me about what's making that weird noise that I hear & they're not going to charge me an arm & a leg, their pricing is very fair. They also offer a Courtesy ride home & back when your car is ready - Very convenient!!

I have been taking my care to Coastline for a couple years now. They always do a great job. I never feel like they are trying to rip me off. All of the men I have worked with are very knowledgeable and make sure that I know why they are recommending whatever it is they say you need. No bad things to say about the staff and service at Coastline.
