Very disappointed with the customer service. The employee working the 6 PM shift was extremely rude and unhelpful. I waited over 30 minutes for assistance regarding a car that was parked in my reserved spot, even though I had all the proper documents to prove it.
Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I felt ignored and disrespected. This was a complete waste of my time and very frustrating. I expected much better service.Feb 20, 2026 -

im not one to come on here posting reviews but this time my experience was outrageous. if there was a way for me to do 0 stars, i would.
my car was towed from an Irvine apt complex at 1:40am and my neighbor ran to knock on my door to let me know. i ran after the tow truck when my car was barely being loaded (i am aware the fee the needs to be paid to even get it unloaded), i found it more convenient to unload & pay there, than to go pick it up else where. I called the irvine company security and the girl gave me the tow company (DTS) phone number and specified to me that they DIDN'T call the tow truck and that the towing company works on their own schedule come around at their own time. i call the towing company, Ruben answers, btw he had to place me on a 10 sec hold to tell me his name as if it were something you dont know off the top of your head, asked for his last name and supervisors name and was unable to give me either, again, i didnt ask for their addresses. anyway, he tells me the reason why its towed and mentions that the car was towed because either RSO or security called them and i told him exactly was the security girl told me over the phone. he mentions theres a $45 increase every 4 hours i believe. i hang up that call and call the irvine company security AGAIN. this is all at 2am, and the 2nd girl on the phone, her name is Sara, mentions that they have NOTHING to do with the towing, that they dont call or notify, that its actually the other way around, the tow company notifies security about any cars being towed. as we drive back into the complex we see the security car and ask a 3rd security girl about the protocol and she once again says the same thing, that they arent responsible, they dont call the tow truck and all that good stuff. clearly Ruben (if thats even his name) was lying and we know they're doing their job but his attitude was between a mcdonalds and dmv employee.
the process was very slow and he kept asking information about the car in a rude, arrogant way. he finishes off with a paper that needs to be signed that says they are NOT responsible for any damage done to the car and that they have permission by a 3rd party to tow the vehicles. the Irvine Company Security told us to follow up with RSO because they hadn't called the tow truck so now we're on a new adventure of solving this $500 issue. we had to pick it up before 6am to keep it at $480, next price was $545 at 8am and it would only keep increasing.
anyhow, our car was parked forward, not backed in, so the pulled the car out of the spot while being in reverse, and then hooked the front of it. they make you sign a paper that says they are not responsible for any damage done to the car, but them pulling the car out of the spot and only lifting the front wheels while dragging the back 2 wheels can definitely cause damage in the transmission. its crazy how our car, facing the side walk, was towed for not having a permit when 3 other cars, that backed into their spots, were just sitting there patiently.Feb 16, 2026 -
This company has consistently exhibited subpar customer service. Additionally, they inflicted damage upon my vehicle during the towing process. I can personally attest that all their negative reviews are entirely accurate.

They towed my vehicle with a disabled veteran’s placard. I caught the driver in the middle of lifting the vehicle and attempted to talk to them to offer to drop the vehicle and rather than hear me out, he drove off instead. The driver stepped out of the towing yard and in the parking lot to get in my face when I showed up at the yard because I called him a couple of names and he said I was “intimidating him.” Watch out for Elias…he is a bully and tries to use fear to scare you off.

They curb rashed my C8 Corvette along with other damages, they DID NOT tow with a flatbed trailer. Delusional management will take every cent they can, incoming lawsuit, had to involve law enforcement. Documented malpractice - employee called me names etc. I know it hurts a young female has a nicer car than you but know you’re the one who decided to work a 9/5

Worst towing service! While I was trying to explain the lease and show him the name and information, he wouldn’t even look up or respond. When I told him he had an attitude, he agreed and snapped back that he didn’t have to do the tow at all and could just leave. He slapped my driver’s license into my hand and walked off. The whole incident is on our security camera, but even with that, the company barely takes what I say seriously. It’s obvious they’re not interested in improving their service. Do not recommend!

Went to get my car out, Night shift Employee was just vaping in my face! Being very unprofessional, and was so Rude it sparked an argument! Company should be ashamed of these employees and their behaviors, Absolutely overpriced rip off

Awful!!! towed a truck and ripped the front tire off the truck refused to help !! There is a reason they have a 1 star rating . Rude and HORRIBLE SERVICE

Predatory tow service siphoning off the backs or renters that don’t get informed about HOA parking changes. We’ve had cars towed from our complex that have been loading and without warning, these crews swoop in, hook your car and you’re $400 away from having your car back. That’s if you pick it up before 5:00pm.

They just thinking how much more money they can charge you. Adding gate fee weekend fee and more fee … when my car towed mistakenly and I figured it out where is it and find out and go there I charged around $800 , I know it’s too high in this economy I would pay that much money and manager and the girl who works there is unpolitical and rude. Hope never meet them again

We had 8 vehicles picked up from a Manheim auction, and they towed them within 1–2 days even though auctions allow up to 48 hours for pickup. They charged $4,625 for towing and storage — outrageous for just 1–2 days. These cars were going to Northern California where the dealer only makes $1,200 gross. This ruined our delivery margin and forced us to take a loss.
We've reported them to BBB, Manheim, and are considering legal action.
Do NOT use this company unless you want surprise charges and unethical treatment.

I stepped out for just 15 minutes to quickly pick up some things, and they towed my car with my baby’s car seat still inside. No warning, no consideration. This kind of aggressive towing with zero empathy or communication is unacceptable, especially when there’s clearly a child’s car seat in the back. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Completely unprofessional and heartless.

The tow truck driver came to tow the vehicle and the person that was in our spot had came out. He was all secured to take the vehicle and decided to take some money from the person as a bribe idk. The person on the phone was super rude and being a smart ass.

Employees are belligerent and disrespectful, called over the weekend after finding out my car was towed, and the garden grove office worker (a guy) acted as if it was an inconvenience to talk to me over the phone, as if it isn't what he's paid to do.
In addition, i had to wait over 3 hours, from 7pm to almost 11 pm, in order to get my car out. They charged a $140 "gate fee" for off hours reclaims, completely ridiculous when considering that the tow truck drivers come back to the lot ANYWAYS to drop off cars. I was visiting a friend and parked in an unmarked, unnumbered stall at the irvine utc apartments on cornell, only to get towed not even a full two hours after I parked. There was no warning, no ticket, nothing. I understand taking responsibility for my actions, and I later saw that a sign was present with tiny lettering detailing no parking without a permit, so i have nothing to complain about there. However, I ended up paying $595 to pick my car up after only one and a half days. Like that price is completely off the rails! At this point this whole process is just to make money off of you, and not to discourage incorrect parking.
DTS works in conjunction with the irvine company at their apartments and are always there to ruin your day. Everybody who works for this predatory company should reconsider why they believe they contribute to society in any meaningful way. DTS deserves NEGATIVE stars, and are wasting more and more precious resources every day that they are open.May 20, 2025 -
I just wanted to add my 2 cents! I just saw two very experienced two truck drivers tow away a very difficult tow (Mercedes parked at a slant) near UTC in Irvine. I was impressed how professional and diligently both men worked to make sure the tow was down quick, in spite of the very busy two-way traffic! Just wanted to say GOOD JOB!

This place is a joke. They towed my car from my condo and told me to come here. I took an Uber to get my car and for my surprise the car is in a different location. And they have the audacity to say they gave me the right address.

I thought the female employee was very rude. You can tell she deals with people all day and her patience is at a zero. Any question asked and any information she gives comes with a rude stern attitude. I kept feeling like she was thinking I was stupid for asking any question. Then when I was pulling out they had me back up all the way out of a maze of cars with hardly any space and back up into the street with zero room and she kept signaling me with her arms with an attitude rolling her eyes at my driving

Terrible Service – Avoid at All Costs!
If I could give DTS Towing zero stars, I would. The night shift guy (the overweight one) is absolutely the laziest employee I’ve ever encountered. He took forever to even acknowledge me, acted like helping me was a massive inconvenience, and had zero professionalism. It was obvious he didn’t care about doing his job properly.
To make things even worse, my car was damaged while in their care. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff was rude and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing. The whole experience was a nightmare—terrible customer service, incompetent workers, and a complete lack of accountability.Feb 13, 2025
