I took my 2014 Mini Countrymen in to Maaco, Lake Forest to have it painted because the factory clear coat had pealed significantly on the hood and right side of the car. They painted the entire car (except for the roof) with the original metallic dark green color. The job they did was exceptional. They also polished the headlight lens without being asked. I could not be more pleased. I would recommend Maaco, Lake Forest to anyone who is looking to have their car painted.
This Maaco location in Lake Forest did a fantastic job in painting our car! Jennifer is wonderful to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future auto body work and painting. I love the customer service and end result.

THE WORST. The lower price in no way justifies the long delay and excuses, and the paint job that looks good at first but doesn't last long. Extremely poor work product. I'm actually embarrassed for them. Sad.
Clear coat was peeling and wanted too get it redone. They got it done and it came out better than expected. Lived the way it came out. Patrick kept me updated on the whole process.

Brought my car in with fender damage and was impressed with how quickly they got it done and it looks good as new! They even buffed the headlamps out without an extra fee. Highly recommend this body shop!
Jennifer is super nice, straight forward, and honest. She gave me the quote. The body work is pretty good (4 stars) - there are a number of little dents that the guy said he found and fixed but not fixed, the larger dents all fixed. The paint job is okay (2.5 stars) - there were 21 pin-hole/air bubble pops, a two-foot section of one long drip, and some scratches and even after I put tape on the areas they still didn't get fixed after 3.5 days. The price was reasonable.
I was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks..not the 1 week it says on Maaco's website.
At 3 weeks I called. Was asked to give them until the 13th.
Called the 13th. Was asked two more days.
Called after two days. Was asked for two more days.
Called after two more days. Was asked for two more days.
Called after two days in the morning (and they hadn't even started). I asked, "Can I pick it up?" He said "yes." I asked if the side steps were done/attached to the vehicle. He said no....I said, "then I can't pick it up." He then said the mechanic said it wasn't going to work, etc....He was told that the night before. I asked why didn't he call me then. He said because it was after 530PM. I said, It's 10:45AM the next day. I asked why he didn't call me first thing?....No response.....
I was given excuses. When I said I don't want to hear any excuses he said they aren't excuses, they actually happened. Of course, that's not what I meant...I told him the fact is that you keep telling me it'll be done but just don't complete it.
At one point I was told that vehicles are there longer than mine - then why did they tell me 2 to 3 weeks. And I noticed that there were different vehicles there when I visited a couple of times.
The times I got Jennifer when I called, she was honest in saying that they hadn't even started on it or it was partially done and waiting.
So, I got it home the first time (1 day short of 6 weeks) and my wife noticed the scratches, bubbles/pin holes, and the two-foot long overspray-drip section. Because it was sitting so long, my battery was completely dead. It wouldn't charge so I had to buy a new battery. I took it back at 7:30AM on Monday...was told it would be completely resprayed the entire vehicle (they didn't because a good portion of the pin holes didn't get fixed, etc.) but ready by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. So, it took them 3.5 days to just fix most of the issues.
I called on Wednesday morning and was told "I told you it would be done on Thursday. We ran out of blue paint." They knew on Friday they had to repaint on Monday...Tuesday...Wednesday but didn't order paint...So, not only didn't I get it on Wednesday but I also got attitude. I did get it back on Thursday. Everything was fixed but it took 2 days short of 7 weeks for the entire process. When I spoke with Patrick on Thursday to pick it up, attitude again. When I pushed back on his comments, attitude and excuses. He is so not good for a customer-facing job.
Summary: 1 star because I was given the run-around for almost 7 weeks but it got done at least. Patrick just gives excuses and lies (very hard vehicle to paint, someone got sick, it's not going to work so we can't do it (after they took my money and said they could), ran out of blue paint, have to respray the entire vehicle (and didn't), "I told you Thursday", ran out of paint?). Had they called ME each time they weren't going to meet THEIR deadlines to ask for more time and been honest about the lack of progress, I would have given them 1 more star.
Patrick and his team did an awesome job on my truck. Took them a while, but they had a lot to do as it was a beater before. Recommend these guys for an awesome paint job.
Fantastic service. Car looks amazing and they took did extra. Highly recommended took longer but well worth the extra time. They were kind, courteous and they dealt with our insurance.
They do good work at reasonable prices. They are very helpful. They aren't great on time estimates. It will almost definitely take longer than the estimate. It took longer than my estimate, but that was partly because they repaired more than was on the estimate at no extra charge.
I got the outside of my 2006 Toyota Tacoma painted and they replaced a cracked bumper and fixed a slightly off center Flare. The job was very satisfactory.
I had my 2013 Infiniti G-37 painted at MAACO and it looks great. I had the vehicle changed from Perl white to metallic black including all the jams. MAACO also smoothed out all the chips, dings and they restored my headlamps. I am completely satisfied with the finished product. If you don’t want to spend the money on a new car then just bring your current vehicle and make it look new.
My experience at maaco was beyond fantastic I'm so satisfied. At the onset I was given some options and the processes were clearly explained to me and I was shown an example of their work. It was easy to make a decision and the price was very good.
2000 jeep wrangler. Paint on hood burned off about 15 years ago. Was so bad, forgot that it had been metal flake. New paint looks great. Didn’t want to put color faded plastic fender flairs back on. Bought new after market from quadradec for $199. So happy with Macco.
I took my 2004 Cadillac Escalade in to have it repainted in 2021. The paint had all oxidized. I also gave them some new emblems to put on my truck and a front bumper. Everything turned out great. They even touched up couple things that I forgot about. My truck looked beautiful! I got so many compliments! The paint had a 4-year warranty. I noticed a couple months ago that the clear coat on the hood and roof was dull. It sits out in the sun everyday. I took it back in and Patrick fixed it for me and gave me a great deal. You know like most warranties, it drops 25% every year. So they covered 25%. My husband took his 95' Dodge Ram truck in to have it painted too. He is very happy with the job they did. I would definitely recommend Maaco to anyone that's looking to repaint their car or truck. Ask for Patrick!
My car decided to run over about 8 marker sticks that separate the regular lanes from the toll lanes on the freeway and they did a number on the front end of my Tesla model X. I was able to buff out the bumper and replace the headlight, but the hood did not fair so well and needed to be reworked and painted. I brought it to the Lake Forest Maaco where Patrick helped me out, he quoted me a fair price, I dropped it off on a Tuesday afternoon with it being done and ready for pick up by Friday morning; two days before he promised. The car looked great and I could not be happier.
Went to see about having my wife's 12 year old car repainted. Patrick explained the various options. He also assured me that he could take care of a few minor bodywork issues the car had. He gave me a fair quote and told me it would take about 10 days to complete. The car came out looking better than I had hoped for, and it was completed in 7 days. I would definitely recommend these guys if you need a decent paint job. I'm planning on using them again when my own car needs a paint job. Also, the manager Patrick is easy to work with.

First off shout out to Louie super friendly and helpful walking me through the process. They absolutely killed it with the paint which I had done 3 months ago in February. The paint has held up well so far and has been through a track day and daily driving. The only complaint I had is they didn't paint the door handles or license plate housing which comes stock from factory. So I would be really descriptive with what you want. Will probably be coming back if they paint individual parts!!
This place is truly a diamond in the rough. Came in for an estimate on a busy afternoon. Patrick the manager, quickly gave me the fairest estimate and most convenient time frame. It was a no brainier to put our car in their capable hands and care. By the end of the repair (days not weeks) after dropping my girl off, it was like the heavens parted seeing her beautifully repaired! Patrick and his team definitely went above and beyond for our little red family car . I was so amazed and happy with the repair! Finished job on my truck looks great. Some concerns though...
1. Paint is much darker than it should be.
2. Someone broke my tailgate handle and tried to cover it up by gluing it (badly).
3. Job time estimate was 7 to 10 days: it took 16 days.
Other than that, I'm pleased with how it turned out.
I am getting two vehicles painted. A 2003 Audi A4 and a 2002 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner. Waiting for the Audi but the Toyota came out very sweet! They matched the paint very close to the original. The paint job came out very beautiful, smooth and classy! Patrick at Lakeforest California location worked with me and coordinated the project. Great service!!!
They do great insurance work, but they paint classics too. Fantastic work on my Mustang, but unlike insurance work they missed deadline after deadline that they set. But I still highly recommend them. You just have to be patient on a classic. They did my Chrysler in 2 days and it came out awesome.
