Alex and the team did a great job at fixing my Honda Civic. I’ve been having problems with my cars transmission and they got it fixed fast and cheaper than I was expecting. If you want a trustworthy and economical shop this is the place for you.
They guys at Lake Forest Auto care, from the top, Alex the owner, to the mangers, Mani, are the most incompetent mechanics I have ever worked with. Took them two cars, one to r r engine and second r r trans. As it turns out, they never, never told me at the begining when they took my cars in that they do not have the high end scanners that it takes to relearn the replaced engine and trans, so not only they are ignorant of how to reset parts replaced, but they DO NOT HAVE the right computers. So they told me I have to tow my cars to a place that performs the resetting function. And spend another hundred may be thousands to reset the parts place.
This the most stupid way of providing repair service I have seen in 50 years of dealing with mechanics. They failed to disclose this important fact to me and purposely decided me.
Also some of the way they repair cars is faulty and their repair could cause life threatening accidents.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN RETURN TO LAKE FIREST AUTO CAR,mechanic shop and strongly suggest YOU DONT EITHER.

They took the time to explain what was wrong with my car in simple terms, provided a fair and transparent estimate, and never tried to upsell unnecessary services.

i declined the service and only agree to have rear brake changed.
next day, took my car to a different shop for brake inspection, was told front brakes are good.

My 2018 Kia Optima Hybrid needed a gas recharge because the AC wasn’t blowing cold anymore. Manny (hope I spelled that right) was awesome from start to finish—super helpful on the first call, figured out the issue, recharged the system, and even checked back a week later to make sure everything was working right and there were no leaks. Great service, fair prices. Definitely satisfied. Thanks!
This is a great place to get work done on your car! Manny is great! I got lowering springs, exhaust, oil, and cool and flush done and it was fast and a fair price. Manny explained everything to me in detail. Front struts were going out and he got the parts really fast!

I arrived with a car that wouldn’t start due to a depleted battery, accompanied by my family, and decided to get the battery replaced. I called ahead to confirm they had my specific battery in stock and could change it out quickly. They assured me it would be quick and straightforward. However, after waiting 45 minutes, I inquired at the front desk, only to discover they didn’t even have the battery in stock and had to order it from AutoZone—something nobody bothered to inform me about. This blatant lack of communication was both dishonest and unprofessional. Had they been upfront, I could have gone elsewhere and likely saved time and money.
To make matters worse, a young employee bringing my car from the garage to the front drove it straight over a curb, scraping the underside of my bumper. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable.
The service here is not only slow and unreliable but outright deceptive. I would strongly advise against bringing your car to this shop. If you value your time, money, and vehicle, look elsewhere.
Good auto shop. I mentioned over the phone that I had seen a coupon for brakes on their website, and they honored it. I asked if I needed to print anything out and they told me to just mention it at the desk.
The guys here are great they were very transparent about everything and they didn’t try to charge me extra for any add on charges other then what I came in for which was new brake pads. Pretty quick service for a Sunday morning no appointment and only 2 workers 10/10 would recommend. Also great prices compared to other mechanic shops in the area.
Great service! Took in my Mazda yesterday and their customer service and efficiency was what I expect from most places, which never delivered. It's refreshing to finally get a place that cares and gets the job done right.
Needed an urgent tire repair on a Sunday when most shops are closed. Despite Sundays typically being appointment-only, they accommodated me promptly. The team efficiently patched up my tire and provided excellent service throughout. Highly recommended!
I needed a freon recharge for my car’s air conditioning. Drove to my usual repair guy only to find he had gone out of business. Found Lake Forest Care just down the street and decided to give them a try. Not only were they able to recharge the freon but they also were able to replaced a mounting bolt on my driver’s side seat at no charge. I also asked for a diagnostic for a rattling sound that was coming from underneath my car. They were happy to check it out and it ended being a broken control arm and stabilizer bar. So glad they figured it out as it could have been a safety issue. They quoted me a price for the repair. I brought the car back the next day and they were able to fix the it in about half the time estimated and that rattling sound was finally gone. In closing, my overall experience with Lake Forest Car Care was vey positive. The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The repair work was done quickly and correctly. There was zero upsell which was appreciated. Best of all, their prices were reasonable and fair. Based on my personal experience, I fully recommend Lake Forest Car Care to anyone looking for quality auto repair from a user friendly company they can fully trust.
Honesty is the best way to describe Lake Forest Auto Care . I’ve been coming to Maintain my vehicle for over a year with Alex and Elliott and yet they have always found time to accommodate my needs my time and most importantly my budget. First time coming to Lake Forest Auto Care and I felt instantly welcome when I walked in. The man at the front desk was welcoming and friendly.
I went in for an oil change and I will say that it took longer than what I’m used to for an oil change, but they made sure to check all the important things and put a movie on for me while I waited in the lobby area.
They made a list of suggested services for proper care and maintenance on my car but I didn’t feel like they were trying to force any extra services on me. Over all, it was a good experience and I plan to come back for more maintenance soon.
My parents came here to get their oil changed on their 2000 Mercedes. They were very nice and well priced, and even helped them fix a small hole in the tire for free. Definitely recommend.
Elliot was totally awesome!. It’s a full-service oil change place. They check the tires and everything for you. Definitely suggest going there if you have the time to wait. They’re doing a booming business which means obviously they are doing a great job for a lot of people to be that busy. Thanks for everything Elliot.

This shop is the best i walked in for an oil change with no appointment needed. gentleman name. Alex took me in. Got my car within two minutes. They have the lowest price around and a very nice waiting area.they even tell you what else they see wrong with your vehicle and specially the future breakdowns that can happen. I finally found a good and trust worthy Auto shop. Go see ALEX he will take care of you.

These guys were fantastic. Alex and his team helped me out with my Tundra throwing a code related to my transmission sensor and they fixed it free of charge. Turns out it was just covered in dirt from trail riding and throwing the engine off to give a check engine light and turn traction control off. Other places wanted to charge me $340 just for a diagnostic. Will definitely be coming back here
Luis and Francisco are amazing! I've been coming here for about a year now and these guys do great work for a reasonable price. So far I've had several brake changes, minor body work, a tune-up, and even a control arm replacement, and I have yet to find something to complain about. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone looking for reliable and honest work.
I’ve taken my car here a few times now. Both times I had A LOT of work done, and both times I’ve left a happy camper. I like this place for many reasons. They do good work. The price is fair, and they often have loaner cars which is a HUGE LIFE SAVER! I definitely recommend coming here. The last time I came they even let me borrow a charger for my phone. Really good customer service if you ask me.
