A few months ago the gas in my Honda Civic stopped working. I never had that issue before, read about it, went to different car repair shops for prices, etc…Foothill Auto was the only place that took the time to explain the issue and the repair process. I left the car, was driven home and picked up when car was done. Car works fine and I was impressed with the pricing, but more with the patience and courtesy. Fast forward to this week. Car displayed B1 maintenance which meant oil service, tire rotation, brake check and many other. I didn’t need to search auto shops again. I took it to Foothill Auto. As usual the repair was done as indicated, again ride back and pickup were done, and again i was impressed with their courtesy and customer service which exceeds any other business i dealt with before. I gave them 5 stars and they deserve each of those stars. If your car needs repair, don’t hesitate and take it to Foothill Auto.
A warning message came on my dash and my car was acting strangely. Byron made an appointment for me to come in the next morning. Fearing the worst I brought lots of projects to occupy my time. Fortunately it was the battery (still under warranty) so I left within an hour and there was no charge even for the labor. Great customer service. Thanks.

I have been going to Foothill Auto Service to maintain my Prius for over 2 years. I am using them for oil change, and troubleshooting issues such as white touchscreen and transmission/gear change issue. I am pretty happy about the service and the cost of the services. For issues, they will offer an affordable option and if none exist, they will provide some options for fixing it, ranging from new to used part replacements.

Very honest and skilled group. My issue was a complicated electrical issue and they kept at it until the issue was solved. I would not hesitate to bring my vehicle in if I developed any issues in the future. I really appreciated the courtesy transportation. They went above and beyond to see that my needs were taking care of.
I came in towards closing hours on Friday because my right mirror needed to be fixed (backed up in the garage too fast oops). I really needed it to be fixed because I needed my car. My husband and I walked in and we were greeted by Byron so friendly. He took a look and was willing to give it a shot, not knowing how long it would take. After just 30 minutes, Byron came back with the car with the mirror perfectly fixed! Not only that, his team also removed some other scratches on my car that had been there for a while. If this isn’t above and beyond service, I don’t know what is. Byron is absolutely the best and I’m so grateful. My husband and I recently moved to the area and found this place on a whim but we are now certain that we will be exclusively coming here in the future. I was really impressed with the professional approach they took with me for my problem. They were able to diagnosis the problem that two prior mechanics could not fix. I have a Ford transit 250 Diesel and they fixed the problem. I would recommend them for your next maintenance.
Brought my car to have the rear suspension compressor looked at and turned into another issue where they charged me $1200 for diagnosis and labor for. $300 part. They tried to blame me and prior issues saying eventually it was going to break anyhow. $1500 total just so I could get the car back the same way I dropped it off. However, I picked up the car and now the air condition doesn’t work. I immediately called them, didn’t get a call back, and I’m going on two weeks without resolution. Every word and all the communication from them is an attempt to deflect blame and responsibility of problems that I didn’t have with the car when I dropped it off. They seem nice and talk a good game but overcharge on everything especially just to diagnose a problem. There are many complaints online about this. Big mistake going there! Avoid them at all cost.
I was recently traveling through the Lake Forest area when my Toyota Tundra stopped running. It just died. I was panicking because I had to leave for home in 2 days and didnt want to be laying up in a hotel. I gave Foothill Auto a Call and they were very pleasant to communicate with. I explained my situation and about not living in the area and also suggested what I thought the problem was. They said it sounds like I might be correct, but they would need to see the vehicle. I had it towed to their shop in Lake Forest.
Within a few hours they called me to let me know that my battery terminal wires were corroded under the jacket and they needed to be replaced, which was not what I thought it was. My guess was the starter switch on the steering column. They replaced the wires and fix a corroded hose to my radiator and I was on my way the next day.
My whole point to this is, I appreciate their Honesty in taking care of an Out of State Customer. They could of told me it was anything and charged me for, who knows what and I could of been out thousands of dollars including laying up my vehicle for days and sitting in a Hotel. They are straight up Good Honest People. This is hard to come by in this day and age. I recommend Foothill Auto to anyone who needs help. Thank you so much for taking good care of me. JB
Very fast, very friendly and really good people all around. They got the truck in the morning at 830am right after I called at 5pm the night before. Then they evaluated the truck and called throughout to explain the issues and fixed it all right away. Then they cleaned the new tires much better than anywhere else I've went.
This is the first time in over 20 years that I've used an independent service center instead of a dealership to service my car. I'm very happy with Foothill Auto Service.

Everyone was very friendly. My car was in the shop for 2 days. The problem was electrical. The only thing they checked was the battery life. When they said they got the electrical problem to manifest itself they did nothing after that. When I picked up the car after 2 days there was no break down as to what they did to try to find out what the problem was. The second day the car sat outside the facility. I had high hopes for this company. Again, the people their were very nice.
We took my daughters' Subaru Forester to Foothill to have the air conditioning repaired. Mark led us through the process and kept us informed of the needed repairs and cost. He answered all of our questions. and they were able to complete the repair in one day. The office and shop is extremely clean, and we were treated with the utmost professionalism. I highly recommend this shop.
In conclusion, the car runs better after getting it repaired here Very good.
This time, it cost about $700 to have the oil leaked from where it was leaked, but the timing belt and other costs cost $3,000in total.
If I don't do it now, it will cost another $1,500to have it repaired again.
I was worried because I read a lot of reviews saying that women get ripped off and that it's expensive.

so I feel like my car is in good condition

This shop is well managed, organized and customer service is great.
The process starts with a diagnosis test to determine the condition of the car and what needs to be corrected. Tim and Byron are very good explaining the diagnosis test results and helping to prioritize the necessary repairs timely.
The cost might be a little higher than other shops charge but they guarantee their work for I believe three years… This is an honest business that cares for their employees and customers. I had my car serviced and repaired here and I’m pleased with how’s running.

One thing I appreciate about Foothill Auto Service, from a purely utilitarian standpoint; you take your car in once and you don't have to take it in again, they take care of it once, guarantee their work, and then hand it back to you. They also guide you as to what can and cannot be done to extend the life of your car, I consider them important in advising me about a car that has served me well for a number of years now. It is rare to find a garage with such great straight shooters regarding your vehicle. On a secondary level, their customer service is excellent, they remember who you are, and not just your car.

Tim @ Foothill Auto Service, was amazing!!! He was very helpful and kind. I was able to bring my car right in, I got updates, and pictures of the work. The job was much cheaper then dealer. I would recommend taking your car in. loyal customer forever grateful and I got a free oil changeand they picked me up from my house and took me to my car when ready!

I've been to this place twice. The first time, I got issues with check engine light that was accidentally removed from the system by another auto shop. Since Foothill Auto Service couldn't work without it, they gave the car back to me with no charge. So that was a good first impression. They seemed to be honest and trustworthy.
Especially Cindy, she appears to be very knowledgeable. She helped me deal with the recall on my car on top of everything.
The last time I brought my car, they gave me a ride to work after I dropped off my car and picked me up from home when they were done with it. They fixed the main issue and found another problem I wasn't aware of.
My car has never driven better than now.
Overall I got a very good feeling about this shop. You talk through details, check the price, and make sure it works for you, done!
