Absolute best and most trustworthy repair shop I've ever used. Our family and friends have been going here for 20 years. 0 they tell you the truth. They do what they say. And they stand behind their work. they've never steered me wrong. I highly recommend S & S and the whole team over there.
Wife got a full synthetic oil change with a tire rotation for a 2012 Honda Civic and they charged her 128.00 which is outrageous. They did seem to do an okay job though at least but I don't think we will be returning.
I called to ask for price for replacing my car’s starter, the guy told me come here in person build relationship with us so we tell you the price.
They guy doesn’t understand my car’s starter doesn’t work, that mean the car doesn’t turn on, which mean even if I wanted to go there I couldn’t get there and that’s why I was calling duh!
I contact the shop for a service. The guy answered the phone was a nice guy but he did not know if they have this service, so he offered to talk with his manger to call me back with a quote.
I appreciated it and thought I called the right place.
But his manager totally changed my impression when he called back. The manager did not disclose who he is and started blablalba for 1 minute like I don't want to do that, I don't have a price, it's like a painter job or whatever. He was very rude and does not want to hear what the customer is saying. I had no idea who he is and why he is talking like this.
Finally I got a chance to stop him and figured out who he is. But by then, I already lose my trust in this shop.
I never wanted to do business with anyone starting with I don't want to do this, I don't care what the customer wants.
I am fine if they don't offer this service, and I am ready to see elsewhere. But I don't know why the manager talks like I am begging to have this business with him.
The way he talks makes me feel he does not care about the customer needs and so their veihcles.
This is a family owned small business. I've been going here for a few years for maintenance, and they even did an engine replacement for me on one of my vehicles. I appreciate the what feels like honest straight forward communication. I get the problem isolated and explained along with the solution(s) suggestions. The shop isn't the cheapest but trust worthy and they stand behind the work. I have seen the 3 year warranty sign on the front desk. I personally have never had to use that warranty.
I've heard you get 2 out of 3 things in business transactions:
time, quality, or price.
These guys fall in the medium for time and price and high quality in my opinion. I appreciate this shop and the team that works here. They don't throw parts at my problem and hope to fix it. I usually get a diagnostic of the issue right the first time.

If you made a mistake taking your car to this shop ,Just make sure you ask for the invoices of new parts that he says he ordered and the old parts that he says he replaced ,
And the hours of labor he charges . Please get a second opinion. I had the worse experience with this shop was referred to me by a friend , now he is shocked .
I took my car elsewhere at first and was met with "we don't know what's wrong" and 2 weeks of strife trying to get my car fixed, unsuccessfully. I brought it here to S&S, and first of all they were so nice and receptive and understanding of what I was explaining to them. They checked out the car in a really reasonable amount of time, had a possible solution ready, and we were able to set up a time when they were less busy for me to bring my car in. When I brought my car back, they fixed the issue efficiently in under an hour and I was able to take my car home that day and it's been running smoothly ever since! As this is my first car and first time having issues with it I was really nervous especially as someone who doesn't know much about cars. But they made the process really smooth and understandable and now I have my car back working fine :) Would recommend 100%
I took my son's car to S and S Auto Service, and Chad met me in their very clean and well-appointed reception area. He quickly processed my paperwork, and within an hour, had fixed the car beautifully, and very reasonably. The car runs great now!
Clearly, they know what they are doing, and are super respectful of the customer's time. Chad also was very courteous, and a true gentleman. I would love to give them 10 Stars!

S&S Automotive delivers excellent service by ASE certified technicians led by an owner with over three decades of experience as an instructor of ASE courses. Me and my family have trusted this shop with our vehicles for two decades.
Chad the owner is the car whisperer. He can find anything wrong with your car and he can fix it. I had a car that the dealer could not repair for over a year and within one visit he figured out what was wrong repaired it and it was still under warranty because they are a preferred repair center. Therefore they were able to bill my warranty company directly I never saw the bill. They are the only people I left you my cars now. We need to keep them open it's a family run business.
Asked them to check out several features of my car for repairs. Asked 3 separate times to check a specific part of the car that I had a suspicion was my issue. Each time was told the part was completely fine. After I leave car starts to make noise again and I take it to a new place. Within 10 minutes they tell me the part I suspected originally is dangerously unstable and needs immediate replacement. No idea why I was either lied to or my request completely ignored at S&S.
Really appreciate great mechanics/shops like these- who are upstanding and communicates what's going on with your vehicle!! Each time I have come, I gained a very clear understanding of what was wrong and how it will be fixed... and it's fixed properly!!
There are so many crooked people in this industry, I'm grateful to have a trusted shop near by.
I've been going to S&S for almost twenty years. Wouldn't think of bringing my car anywhere else. I first showed up all those years ago with a list of repairs that an oil change place told me I needed. S&S gave me the truth about what actually needed to be done and most of it was not necessary. They are always honest and they are reliable and they do a great job. my daughter just got her first car this year and I told her this is the only place she should be going.
Great service and friendly staff. They have serviced various cars for my family for years now. Suburban, impala, i-35, town-and-country, Camry to name a few.
Had some much needed car maintenance and repairs done this week and could not be more pleased with the service and professionalism of this place!
We live in Irvine, but these guys were recommended by a friend in Lake Forest and good, honest, transparent service and fair pricing is definitely worth the drive in my book!
They got us in same day, were practicing safe Covid precautions; wearing mask, sanitizer at counter, etc - went for a ride with me (wearing a mask) to listen to the issues I was having on the road.
They were in detailed communication with me about everything they found, including pictures, parts and labor fees attached, so I could make informed decisions.
So happy that my car is safe for us on the road again! Will definitely be going back here when it's time for my next oil change or any other maintenance we need.
As a precaution, I did call and make an appointment so that I wouldn't have to wait long for service. They were prompt and available at my appointment time.

It had been a while since my last visit but the techs and the owner remembered me and the vehicle. I called them up regarding my 02 infinity i35 driver door, it wouldn't lock anymore. I was expecting a recommendation to a different shop because I didn't think these guys handled stuff like that. They told me they do take care of stuff like that and they would do a bit of research. They called me back with the price and estimated delivery date. They had to special order the actuator since its not readily available for this older model. I really appreciate that level of effort and how quickly they took care of me! I am glad I reached out to them first.
Love this place. As a single woman I'm always afraid of getting taken advantage of by car repair businesses. Been going here for 3 years now everyone is very professional and prices very reasonable.
6 stars! These guys are the best in the area. Hands down. I’ve been bringing my cars here for years and its always been great, honest straightforward service. I have a Dodge and an Infiniti. These guys do it all. Maintenance and repairs.
I once brought them the car insisting that I needed a new fuel pump but they clarified that I was just out of gas lol. Not all mechanics are so honest.
Don't know why but this place popped into my head today. My family and I have lived in Texas for over 15 years but I remember when I was a teenager, my dad used to take all of our vehicles to this shop because of their honesty and integrity. He never took it anywhere else. As an adult, I've realized how hard it can be to find a trustworthy mechanic. I'm glad to know they're still in business and doing a great job!

I really appreciated their honest information. I called in wanting to get a pre purchase inspection on a used vehicle. I couldn’t get in for an appointment due to short notice so I can’t speak to their work. However the customer service would definitely bring me back if I lived in the area. The person I spoke to let me know his honest opinion regarding the age of the car. He also saved me some headache by informing me that regardless the vehicle would need to pass a smog test and suggested I do that first. I am so grateful that a mechanic out there gave me an honest answer without trying to rip me off. Thanks!
I went to my local meineke to get an alignment job and was told I would need to replace some critical Parts before they could give me the alignment. Was suspicious so I got a second opinion at S&S Auto they informed me that there was no need for repairs I was being ripped off they then did my alignment at a fraction of the price I was quoted it's hard to find an upstanding automotive repair shop fortunately I found one with S&S.
I'm now 30 and have taken my cars to these guys since I could drive. They're honest reliable fair and just good people. Bo and Gary are the best. I live in LA and I still take my car to them. The best!!!
