Our client had an existing wood slat wall they wanted us to match. The team at True American Grain successfully matched and milled a new reclaimed wood product, resulting in a very satisfied client. The installation was completed without issue, and the material quality was consistent throughout.

We had such a great experience with True American Grain. Josh was incredibly helpful from start to finish. knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in getting us exactly what we wanted. Our butcher block is gorgeous and has transformed our space. The craftsmanship is beautiful, the quality is top-notch, and we couldn’t be happier with it. Highly recommend!

Great selection of wood. Did a job for one of my clients using weathered oak and it came out really nice. HIghly recommend this place especially if you want something unique nad lasting. Very Knowledgeable staff as well.

I love the custom reclaimed barn door and shelves True American Grain made for us!!! We couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out. Every one was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. It took some time, but absolutely worth the wait!! 8/2025 This is our 2nd project with True American Grain. We just finished part one of this project which is a TV wall. They made and installed the hand hewn mantle. It’s BEAUTIFUL and exceeded my expectations! Josh was great in answering my questions and helping me figure out what I wanted. Angel skillfully crafted the mantle and installed it. He is so nice, professional and did an awesome job. He was on time, very efficient and cleaned everything up when finished. I am very happy and appreciative of the work done! I can’t wait for part 2 which will be shelves on both sides of the fireplace. Part 2- matching hand hewn stained shelves to match the mantle True American Grain did another outstanding job with the shelves! Angel came and installed the matching shelves that he made. He helped me with placement and they are beautiful and mounted very securely. I am so happy and thankful for all of the work done!

Contracted with True American Grain to fabricate a large conference room table top for our new office space. The process was very smooth, they were excellent at responding to questions, reviewing options, etc. They followed our drawings perfectly. The table top is beautiful! Don't buy your reclaimed wood here, the beam we bought had dry wood termites in it and after bringing it up to the store/owner, they will not provide any store credit.

I had True American Grain install floating shelves in my kitchen, as well as floating shelves in my living room plus a 10 foot long countertop. I could not be happier with the look, the quality, the installation, and the customer service provided byTAG! The moment I stepped into their show room. I knew that this was the company I was going to select. I had visited and shopped around several other reclaimed wood companies, but they stood out beyond them all! If you’re in the market for a floating shelves, I highly recommend this company. Angel, the installer, is perfectionist and the pride in his work shines.

This place is truly amazing. Was recommended by a neighbor who had extensive work on their home, which was incredibly transformed into a work of art. We started off small with a mantle, were extremely satisfied with the results, then proceeded with shelving and counter pieces. It was as if they read our minds on what we wanted/needed on every piece. The icing is that just about everyone that works there is really nice and easy to work with. We loved every aspect of this business from start to finish, and will be back for more work to be done for sure.

True American Grain has some beautiful woods for mantles, floating shelves and other projects. Their showroom staff is very friendly and helpful. The craftmanship of the cuts, wood staining and waxing is excellent. The transparency of the pricing is where there is room for improvement. The price per foot, per cut, and finishing of the wood was not published anywhere in the shop we we bought our shelves and mantle. Additionally, there was no published price on the brackets hardware. It was also a source of frustration that the specifications for size and weight of the board supported by each brackets is not available in print either. Finally, it would be great if they quoted installation with the wood as that can often double the price of your purchase as it is a complex process. I do recommend shopping at True Grain for shelves and mantles that can be a beautiful addition to a home but please do yourself a favor and ask for the complete quote for a finished product, hardware and installation before you commit to buying. And please ask for specifications on the bracket hardware before you buy those as well. They are quote expensive so make sure you get the right ones to properly support your reclaimed wood accents for your home. We love our floating shelves and our mantle. We just wish we knew the full scope and price of the project going into it so we could budget and prepare.

I’m leaving 2 stars because their customer service is unprofessional and non accommodating. The date of my scheduled installation, Rhiana told me that she had lost my appointment. Instead of doing everything she could to make this mistake better, she had attitude and unprofessional responses. To quote her exactly she said, “your guilt trip won’t help speed up the installation.” After emailing the owner TWICE about this unfortunate experience and receiving NO RESPONSE, I thought any potential new customers should know how this company treats some of their clients. Their product is amazing. Couldn’t be happier with the craftsmanship and beautiful installation. Angel did an amazing job making sure I was happy with the product. But, what good is work if the customer service doesn’t support it? These 2 need to go hand in hand and overall I’m very unhappy with my experience with True American Grain.

Super happy with this product and the customer service provided. I was going to way over order the product and sales staff helped me get a more accurate estimate of product needed. We ended up with a little extra rather than a bunch of extra due to their expertise. The product is beautiful! We had help installing from a relative with some construction experience who had a great time installing this product. Highly recommend. End result is beautiful! Deliver was fast and we were able to get completed with our project on time. Customer service excellent.

We bought a hand-hewn log for our mantle and it’s gorgeous. The woodwork is fantastic, and the installation was excellent. It’s not cheap, but worth every penny. These guys are the real deal!

We are absolutely thrilled with the level of service and quality of workmanship we received from True American Grain during our living room remodel. We wanted a reclaimed wood mantel to bring depth history and warmth to our contemporary tastes, and the stunning mantel they created far exceeded our expectations. The pride of craftsmanship that Angel, who built and installed the mantel - brought into our home was palpable, and the time and attention we received from Tom, Gennie and John was icing on the cake. Phenomenal customer service experience choosing mantel for fireplace. They were a great help choosing style, beam and color and the overall cost was less than expected. That never happens! Can't wait for final product.

Great experience dealing with True American Grain. Met with Teresa & Genie upon arrival. Brought a photo of a mantel I liked. Tom came out to measure being it was an L shape fireplace. After 4 weeks, Angel and Ciro installed the mantel which was a bit of a challenge over my stone fireplace. They cleaned up as if they were never here. An amazing job by all! What a fantastic experience we had at True American Grain Reclaimed Wood! Gennie was so amazing and patient with us. They had a great selection of reclaimed wood. We chose a beautiful piece for our mantel and had it installed in about 10 days. We were so impressed! The two men (Angel & Cido) who installed it ran into a few obstacles but kept at it until it was completed. Very professional! If you want a beautifully hand crafted item made from reclaimed wood this is the place! We did a fireplace makeover and after ordering and returning 4 different mantles i found this company and got exactly what we needed. It wasn't that much more expensive than the pre-made ones and well worth it.

This place is a great find, so many pieces to choose from and they really know there stuff. I’ve been looking everywhere for white oak and they have it here! Gary was super helpful. Checkout the mantel, turned out better than I imagined!

I have been buying wood from TAG for years. They have the best selection of reclaimed wood in Southern California! You can find anything and everything you need here! They have hardwoods, beams, skins and they also do custom work! I have always found their staff to be friendly, helpful and insightful. They always ask what project I am working on and provide me with ideas to help me get the right wood for the job. They can help with the design and make sure you get the right look you are going for. I have seen a lot of the reclaimed wood shops in Orange County and in LA and True American Grain has the best wood out there! They are also very competitively priced and work with you to make you happy. Great team! Great customer service and a great operation!

Brandon and the team are awesome. We had the best experience! They were extremely knowledgeable and they accommodated all our needs. We purchased beautiful wood from a barn in Kentucky to create a wood wall in our bonus room. Everyone took the time to give amazing tips for our DIY project.
