I took my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica in to check for emissions vapor leaks and the cause of a “Gas Cap” light. $180 for the diagnosis, which would not go towards the repair. I had other shops fail to find any leaks or problems with the gas cap (I tried 3 myself!). Their diagnosis of a faulty sensor (no leak!) was correct. Their price for repair was $190 or so, including the sensor. My problem with the shop is that there was a multipoint inspection included with the repair and two of the checks on the list were obviously not done. I came in to the service shop with a low pressure signal for one tire that I forgot to tell them about. When I picked up my SUV, the tire pressure warning was still on! I checked the tire and it was down to 23 psi (supposed to be 35 psi) I found out the valve itself was leaking. They were closing so one of the guys came out and used a tool to tighten the schrader valve. But, obviously, they had not checked the tires and brought them all up to the proper pressure, as per the check list. Also 2 days later, my battery died. It was almost 3 years old (the warranty at Costco was 3 years) and I did get a replacement battery under the warranty. But, charging system and a battery check were also on the check list! Had I known the battery was bad, I wouldn’t have gotten stuck, before getting the battery replaced. I talked to Bob (the owner?) about what happened and although he was apologetic, their was no compensation forthcoming. He only stated that one of his mechanics must have cut corners and that he gave all his mechanics positive talks in the morning about good customer service. He did say, 3 times during the conversation, that he should take me to a steak dinner…
So many auto shops are not the most honest business, especially with women. This place is different! Fair pricing, upfront info, and very friendly service. Shout out to Jeremy (I think that’s his name), who spent a lot of time with me explaining things and seemed happy to do so. My smog guy also mentioned that the work they did installing a new catalytic converter was super clean. I think the people at this shop are honest people who take pride in their work, and that is hard to find!!
I brought my RAV4 Hybrid in for a great deal of work. The staff of Laguna Woods Auto kept me informed of their progress and the vehicle was done when they said it would be done. No surprises! Loved everything about my experiences and this is why they are my "go to" auto repair facility!
Alternator replacement! Excellent phone service when calling for quotes. Could assist me the next day! Friendly and helpful service when my car broke down like 300meters from shop. Laguna Woods Auto Repair accommodated me in an emergency situation to give super efficient service in evaluating the problem. They even took care of tapping off the fluids to get me safely back on the road. God Bless Bob! His 1950s style waiting area fits him perfectly because he provides first rate old school service! Wow, I thought those days were gone. I highly recommend!

I was able to get a ride home and wait comfortably instead of being stuck at the shop. I brought in my 2023 Camry for an oil change, and the service was top-notch. Every employee I encountered was genuinely sociable and eager to assist, making the whole process pleasant. Knowing they are also a AAA Auto Center approved facility adds another layer of trust and assurance. Based on this initial visit, I'm optimistic for future services of equal quality. My passenger headlight was out, so I called Bob and made an appointment to have it replaced. Bob took my car to the back and came out within a few minutes and showed me that the real issue was wiring that had been chewed through by rodents. The part was ordered by Jeremy, the fix was made and they completed the AAA auto checklist. The price was very reasonable. In addition, I received the AAA discount. I found them from my neighbor who recommended them. They were great, very helpful, and accommodating. Also worked with me as far as picking up my vehicle. The employees Dallon, Jackie, and Lucy were very friendly and helpful. Answered all of my questions. They also picked me up to retrieve my vehicle from their shop. I've had 2 other mechanics flake on me before finding them. And I believe they will now be my auto-repair shop from now on. I would recommend them to anyone who asks for great customer service, and the mechanic worked really diligent on my car. She is an older car, and it sounds great. If anyone is looking for a good mechanic, it's a great place to go!
I’ve taken my 75 Jimmy to Laguna Woods Auto Repair for about 5 years now. From the start, Bob has been my go to guy. His genuine care, and attention to detail is what keeps me going back every time. Walking in the entrance, you are taken back to a 60’s diner themed shop; complete with booth seats and tables, a juke box, and tons of old school memorabilia, that makes the wait, and pinch on your wallet a lot less painful. I’ve had the privilege of being taken inside their shop, immediately greeted by a wide range of beautiful classics, newer domestics, and imports, further affirming my decision to leave my Jimmy in Bob’s hands. Trust these guys, they are amazing My Honda needed an alternator replacement. They did a great job replacing that and my battery, taking care of my oil and getting my car back to me as soon as they could. As an older woman, I need a car guy who I can trust, and I don’t have to second-guess what they say. Peter was kind and helpful answering my questions when I need it most. I had an issue with the low tire sensor and they said that I may need new sensors. They checked my tires, they were fine, the sensors were working, so they checked all of my tires and my spare. My spare was really low, filled it and let me know that I will need new tires eventually. They were at 50%. But I didn't need new sensors! These guys were honest with me and just did my 60,000 mi check up. They didn't charge me anything for taking a look at every tire sensor and tire.
