I recently had my first experience with Laguna Woods Auto Repair, and I'm thoroughly impressed. After a glowing recommendation from a fellow senior in my community, I decided to check them out for myself.
One of the first things that stood out was their convenient location, very close to our community. They also offer complimentary rides, which was a huge plus. I was able to get a ride home and wait comfortably instead of being stuck at the shop.
I brought in my 2023 Camry for an oil change, and the service was top-notch. Every employee I encountered was genuinely sociable and eager to assist, making the whole process pleasant. Knowing they are also a AAA Auto Center approved facility adds another layer of trust and assurance.
Based on this initial visit, I'm optimistic for future services of equal quality. Laguna Woods Auto Repair has definitely earned my repeat business!
My passenger headlight was out, so I called Bob and made an appointment to have it replaced. Bob took my car to the back and came out within a few minutes and showed me that the real issue was wiring that had been chewed through by rodents. The part was ordered by Jeremy, the fix was made and they completed the AAA auto checklist. The price was very reasonable. In addition, I received the AAA discount. I am a happy customer and I will be back for future vehicle maintainance needs.

Knowledgeable owner/mechanics. I was not talked down to. My worries were taken seriously, and I was put at ease with a little bit of education kindly given. I will be taking my car in every six months for a checkup. I highly recommend these folks.
Just like the old mechanics by the side of the road on Route 66!! These guys do it all. No matter what car you have and what service you need, they can handle it. With a smile and an honest evaluation of your needs. AND a ride home if you need it And their coffee is good too. As long as Bob doesn't make it. I've been with these folks for 11 years, wouldn't go anywhere else.
I found them from my neighbor who recommended them. They were great, very helpful, and accommodating. Also worked with me as far as picking up my vehicle. The employees Dallon, Jackie, and Lucy were very friendly and helpful. Answered all of my questions. They also picked me up to retrieve my vehicle from their shop. I've had 2 other mechanics flake on me before finding them. And I believe they will now be my auto-repair shop from now on. I would recommend them to anyone who asks for great customer service, and the mechanic worked really diligent on my car. She is an older car, and it sounds great. If anyone is looking for a good mechanic, it's a great place to go!
I’ve taken my 75 Jimmy to Laguna Woods Auto Repair for about 5 years now. From the start, Bob has been my go to guy. His genuine care, and attention to detail is what keeps me going back every time. Walking in the entrance, you are taken back to a 60’s diner themed shop; complete with booth seats and tables, a juke box, and tons of old school memorabilia, that makes the wait, and pinch on your wallet a lot less painful. I’ve had the privilege of being taken inside their shop, immediately greeted by a wide range of beautiful classics, newer domestics, and imports, further affirming my decision to leave my Jimmy in Bob’s hands. Here’s the thing, Bob is of the old school mentality of service, trapped in this new generation of liars and cheats. Like a specialist doctor you would pay top dollar for to ensure the treatment you receive has a positive outcome, Bob and his team will give you that positive outcome for anything with wheels. My Honda needed an alternator replacement. They did a great job replacing that and my battery, taking care of my oil and getting my car back to me as soon as they could. As an older woman, I need a car guy who I can trust, and I don’t have to second-guess what they say. Peter was kind and helpful answering my questions when I need it most. I had an issue with the low tire sensor and they said that I may need new sensors. They checked my tires, they were fine, the sensors were working, so they checked all of my tires and my spare. My spare was really low, filled it and let me know that I will need new tires eventually. They were at 50%. But I didn't need new sensors! These guys were honest with me and just did my 60,000 mi check up. They didn't charge me anything for taking a look at every tire sensor and tire. Thank you for being thorough and checking out my car, Laguna woods Auto repair! I feel so much safer on the freeways.

I've had really good experiences with Laguna Woods Auto Repair. I've been a customer for more than 10 years and have brought in all of our household vehicles. It's never fun to have to pay for repairs, but they get the work done in a timely basis without the requirement to keep bringing the vehicle back.
I'm sure the mechanics are all good there. Had one incident but was resolved. Customer service checking up on your car situation needs to be improved. Someone was a little bit bothered by me calling asking the status and update on my car being there for 5 days. And yes I would bring my vehicle back. Just because a bad situation happens doesn't mean it's going to happen again. I basically have trust with this automotive shop.
HONESTY, INTEGRITY, and VALUE was what I received today at Laguna Woods Auto Repair. I would stand up for this business at anytime because they are exactly what I think an American service should represent. Quality service in a timely manner and exceptional repair work. Honest workmanship, fair prices and great customer service. Courtesy rides to and from home in saddleback area. A few diagnostic services / repair are not offered like air bag deployment issues. Also appointments are recommended- even for routine oil changes. Vintage signage and 1950s retro feel make waiting for small jobs with appointment interesting as opposed to the wait area at say a Firestone service shop.
