These guys are amazing all around, brought in my 1999 Honda civic ex 1.6 I4 SOHC for a diagnosis on my oil leak and oil pan replacement. I got more than what I paid for to be done ( Topped off my coolant) prices are amazing mechanics there truly care about their work and most importantly know what they are doing. I saw 6 customers come in and out with a smile ready to leave with their car. I will be back to there soon to get my car tuned up. If you have any model Honda i really recommend you bring your car up there with them, Maintenance prices are awesome they care about your car lasting longer than the dealer does they’ll make the time to see your car ( if they can ) as they did with me. Great place to get your Acura worked on. We took in our 2015 RDX for service (again) and received excellent service. Shane called and explained in detail everything they saw and why they needed to update some items. We had an issue with the passenger airbag and Shane figured out it must have been the battery because he couldn't get the error to come up again after replacing it. Thanks to all who worked on our car and the man who washed it...it needed it:) Highly recommend!
From my first step through the door and talk with Mike, I immediately knew I was in the right place. I know vehicles pretty well and Mike and his team knew every intricate detail.
I went into the shop knowing what I wanted done and I wanted a good price. Mike worked with me. After his team got started on the car Mike made me aware of some other issues they identified while doing the once over on the car. While this work did add to my total bill, it was necessary.
There is a 3% surcharge on all credit cards used, but you should turn your ire towards the credit card companies and not the small business. There is also a cash and check price as well, so there are ways out of the surcharge.
Mike communicated with me the whole time my car was in his possession. It’s a family owned business and it shows. They care for their customers and make you feel like family. Nothing like having a neighborhood mechanic you can trust. To top it off, i’m pretty sure they washed my car for me. That was the icing on the cake. My car drives and runs like it came off the lot 19 years ago.

Took my 18' Accord to get a transmission oil change today around 3 p.m. Mike & his crew had a full days work ahead of them & he was able to get me in & out of the shop within about an hour & ½! Transmission feels smooth like butter now! Very knowledgeable staff, highly recommend this place over getting serviced at the dealership.
Shane and Mike were really transparent and knowledgeable when handling my recent transmission work. The experience was 1000x better than past visits to the dealership service department. Will certainly be back!
If you are a Honda owner this is the place to go for any and all your services. Back in 2013 I had electrical issues with our 2008 Pilot and it was an elusive problem that every mechanic that I went to from Sears (I had a new Die Hard Battery) to my own trusted mechanic to a Honda dealership could not find the source of the issue. A work associate recommended Autowave so I gave them a shot, they too were baffled at first but Shane was persistent and after much testing was going to replace the alternator but at the last minute decided to try replacing the battery (which was testing normal) and that solved the problem saving me a lot of money. Because they are kind of far from my home (I live in Garden Grove) I haven't been back since then and I had a very good mechanic close by that recently retired and closed up the shop, which leads me to my current service. So I have been searching for a good local mechanic for 4 years now and have not found one that I am totally satisfied with. The mechanic that I have been using had new mechanics and service writers every time that I had one of my vehicles serviced and they always recommended a lot of extra repairs that were very expensive, also they were very sloppy, because they were just plain careless and didn't clean up properly I always had residual oil dripping from my undercarriage of both my vehicles that NEVER dripped oil before. I decided to go back to Autowave with my Pilot for a second opinion of the work the previous mechanic recommended and they confirmed many of the repairs and found a few other major issues. This is the work that was done: Oil Change, Air Filter, Replace Battery AC Delco, Replace Front & Rear Shocks Front Strut Boots & Bump Stops, Replace Front Sway Bar End Links, 4 Wheel Alignment, Transmission Service, Replace Front Cam Plug-O-Ring, Replace Air Intake Tube & Perform Throttle Body Service, Replace Driver side Window Washer Nozzel (no charge). Now this was not cheap BUT the big thing was 12 years later the same mechanics were still there, Shane is still there (I actually had Mike as my service writer this time) and I felt comfortable with their work and their findings. The results are my Pilot rides a lot smoother, runs a little better and DOES NOT drip oil on my driveway. My only negative to add is they don't work on anything but Hondas and I still have to find a reputable mechanic for my F150, but honestly that is probably a good negative to have.

These guys charged me $4600 to fix both head gaskets and only did one. Now my check engine is back on for a misfire and I can only assume its the other head gasket. Common practice would be to fix both at the same time and they even said as much themselves. So over the phone it sounded like they were going to do both. Well they only fixed one because "they never go bad".. so how did the first one go bad and why are you charging so much? These guys are the worst . Theyre trying to get me back in there, the only way Im going is if I get 100% free labor
These guys are the real deal. I'm a single female and I used to work at a mechanic shop and I know my way around but they didn't know that! These guys are family men who value their customers and are in business because of their repeat customers due to their integrity and attention to detail. They care about what they go and they're well versed in warranty's and they go the extra mile. They even wash your car with an oil change!! 5 stars for sure!
A much better experience than going to local Honda dealers. Mike and Shane are very helpful and are extremely thorough with their recommendations. Tacky upsell recommendations, like you would experience at Norm Reeves, are never found here. Shane, Mike and team are the real deal. The car wash after service is the cherry on top. Great job guys!

As their business name says, they are indeed Honda and Acura specialists. In 2011, they installed a supercharger on my Civic SI (pictured). Man, what a fun car! Mike and Shane are extremely knowledgeable and will steer you the right way. I recently took my new SI back for a tune and as usual, it was a seemless experience.
I contacted Autowave for work on my Honda Hybrid. I chose them after having posted in the Fountain Valley Community Forum asking for local recommendations and SO many people highly recommended them. Also, I know that work on hybrids can be tricky and you really want someone who knows all the ins and outs.
Mike took a long look at my car and its issues. He really took his time both talking to me to see what happened and very thoroughly doing his best to diagnose the problem. He even contacted the Honda dealership to pick their minds.
In the end, the problem was not fixable, but rather than have me waste a ton of money finding that out, he was up front and honest about it and saved me a lot of time, money, and trouble. I really appreciated everything he did as well as his integrity.
A reliable, honest mechanic is hard to find, and I definitely recommend these guys!

My clutch went out on a Sunday night and they were able to get me on the road with a new one very fast and went above and beyond with service. Very satisfied to have found a new trusted shop to work as the service was exceptional.
Mike got me in for an oil change right before they closed on a Friday. They also let me know I didn’t have any torn boots as the dealership had suggested I had which saved me big $$. I like that they only work on Hondas/Acuras as I take good care of my baby and want to make sure others take care of him also. They seem to know their stuff so this might be my new spot for future needs. Prices seem fair too.

This was my first time here as I was not happy with my other mechanic. Shane and Mike took great care of my sons car. They basically did everything on a1990 Honda Accord except for changing out the engine and transmission! I felt taken care of and I thought they were honest. First time customer, referred by my son, took my 2013 Si Coupe to have my clutch replaced ,took it in on a Thursday afternoon car was ready my Monday. The shop did a great job on the clutch runs like new again. They also did a full inspection of all other parts and recommended to have them replaced before they get any worse. I strongly recommend Autowave Shop.
I made an appointment using RepairPal which made it seamless. So, I brought my mom's Honda Clarity Plug-in because the A/C was not blowing cold. They gave me an estimate to fix it. My mom's car has a warranty through Maxcare, and Mike went out of his way to call them to make sure the service was covered. I really appreciated their honesty and diligence. That's not something you can find at a lot of auto repair shops. I will most definitely be bringing the car to Autowave Inc for further repairs and services.
Been taking my Acura TL to Autowave for 17 years and counting. Owners Shane and Mike and their expert crew do an outstanding job. They are honest, knowledgeable, and never overcharge. I bought my TL new back in 2006 and have only let Autowave service it, and it currently has 342,000 miles and runs beautifully. Highly recommend for excellent Honda/Acura service.
I brought my 1991 NSX to Autowave to resolve a starting problem. They resolved the problem quickly and reasonably. They suggested additional work, that in my opinion, would not be able to have been performed elsewhere at any price. My car is now in exceptional condition. Shane, Mike and their crew are very professional, courteous and most importantly honest! Their attention to detail is incredible. They treat your car as if it was their own. I highly recommend them, for any vehicle, but especially for the Acura NSX. They are definitely the "NSX Go to Guys"!!
Thank you, Auto Wave for taking such good care of my new Acura and doing the first service. My car was due for its first oil change, and I didn't want to bring it to the dealer, which is in Cerritos. I am so happy that I found Auto Wave that specializes in Honda and Acura right here in Huntington Beach. Their service was prompt and efficient and they even went beyond the oil change and first service, as they noticed some white paint on the fender and they buffed it out, without extra charge, and got rid of it. So, my car looks brand new again and shiny. Thanks to everyone for their courtesy and efficiency. I have never seen an auto shop so clean and well maintained. I had been having issues with the AC for my Honda CR-V. I took her to the dealership three times and they couldn't figure out what was wrong.
When I called Autowave, Michael was very professional and gave me info I needed to bring in my car. They were able to locate the issue, provided me with fair pricing and Shane communicated realistic expectations for when my car would be finished. They were very respectful.
My car was returned in excellent condition. They polished my headlights, washed my car, changed the cabin filter and miscellaneous parts all free of charge. They were even able to remove paint from my side door when it scraped against a wall.
I will definitely be back.
