I went here because they buy used parts. I brought my nice exhaust here and they offered me decent amount, i took the offer happily. Then i ended up buying their t-shirt and shift knob. They have so many nice used rare Japanese parts here (rare will not be cheap), I will be back for sure.
A car tuner's paradise! Up Garage is a second hand store for use auto parts. You can find lots of things here like automotive body panels (hoods, trunks, etc), stereos and infotainment systems, wheels, bucket seats, suspension, electrical components, and whatever else you can think of for a car! They probably got it! Looks like they're getting new inventory all the time! The associates that I chatted with were very helpful and answered all my questions.
Selling parts. I asked for an online quote and received a fast response, with good prices, I brought the parts in for an offer and was happy to have the email quote match the offer at the store .A couple of items were even given a higher price than the online quote!!! The employee who helped me was very courteous. Saw some good used items for good prices. Overall a GREAT experience.
Enjoyed going thru all the aisles and checking out everything! I come by every couple of weeks to see what new inventory they get in, I got my set of track wheels here and was very happy with the condition they were in. Great staff and they are very professional. Highly recommend if you're in the area to come check them out and maybe you will find some gems!
We didn't get the worker names but 2 guys helped us. We had a good experience looking for specific sized wheels. There were actually a few different ones available and we liked that the specs and any damage was clearly labeled. They also helped us look at the 2 different sets we were interested in and put them on the wheel balancer to check them. We have been having trouble finding used wheels in the right size and price point and weren't interested in paying shipping so we were glad to find some here at a reasonable price.
Fun place to stop by! Somewhere to buy and sell popular car parts and mods although they will only buy things they think they could sell so they didn't want much related to a G35
Everything here is overpriced. Literally robbing you on sight. If you wanna get ripped off then this is your place. I don’t know what they’re smoking. But it is no bueno. Never coming back again.
I went over there to sell my work wheels and my cousins coilovers and expecting to get a good deal and took the offer and I was waiting for them to put it up on their website. Then the next day I saw they put it up on their website and I was shocked and a little disappointed to what they did. They are selling it at a higher price different to what we were offered smh we just got our money robbed.
Yeah if you wanna go here you should rethink it’s gross farted in stained seats and car parts that they scam their “customers” with, complete waste of time your better off going to eBay over this place, they should rename to down garage because the only thing that will be down is your mood due to buyers remorse from this scamming trench
Awesome store, amazing customer service. Tons of rare parts here and nothing beats not having to wait for overseas shipping pending they have what you need, which has been my case. Prices are in line with other jdm retailers, if not even cheaper.
I needed to offload a bunch of parts from about 10 years worth of building cars and so up garage was a great option for that. Took them a variety of parts and was as easy as dropping it off and waiting for them to send me a total appraisal for the lot. If you are busy and don’t want to deal with the annoying people on Facebook marketplace or craigslist selling to up garage is a great option.
One small note for anyone else who may have parts from a variety of cars they generally only purchase parts from Japanese cars and seem to prefer aftermarket parts over OEM
Had to stop by on my last trip to this recently opened store in Garden Grove which I believe is the first Up Garage located outside of Japan.
Store is exactly like the Up Garages in Japan, most noted the high prices but with the weak yen and strong US dollar, it is expected.
Great selection of aftermarket rims and accessories, didnt really see anything that I really needed but staff was very polite and are all from Japan.
Unfortunately they were out of most of the shirt sizes, only had Small and 4XL when i was there But you cant walk out empty handed so I bought a spin turn knob for my RPS13
Hope to see you guys again my next time up in LA. Ill load some spare parts in the suitcase since Ebay and CL arent what it used to be.... 5 stars
I'm glad I went here when the hype was gone. Got a chance to chill and see what they have. Staff is cool n chill, busy working and all. They have deals there, as well as expensive items, but honestly it's a shop that I can reminisce to. Rims, body kits, brake kits and all.
People are super nice and employees are from Japan. Customer service is a 5 star. But comparing them to Japan. It is more expensive. If you’re willing to pay top dollar for parts. it could be worth it to you.
If you are expecting the Japanese experience and pricing...you will be disappointed. Customer service is hot trash as well, basically an overpriced wheel and seat shop. Sad to see
Terrible experience today at Upgarage. Called this morning and spoke with an employee who confirmed that the part I wanted to buy was available. Even after putting me on hold for several minutes she says yes they're still available for sale. I asked if I can put them on hold and she said that they don't do that which I understand so I hopped in my car and drove almost an hour there only to be told that they were actually sold yesterday Terrible service in my opinion. Not much to look at except wheels which are all priced pretty high. I would be pressed to return to this location and do business with them. Wasted over 2 hours of my day Oh yea they also tried offering $100ea for my minty Nardi steering wheels lol it's like they GameStop for car parts.
Super excited to hear Upgarage was opening a location in California. It's a really cool concept for car enthusiasts allowing a convenient way to offload un-needed parts without the hassle of people from Facebook marketplace asking "Hi, is this still available?". The store set up is very similar to the ones I've been too in Japan, but on a smaller scale. The way the signs are written, packing materials wrapping the used parts, etc is all the same as the store in Japan which I found neat. Considering how small the store is, and it's limited stock, there wasn't much variety on used parts for my chassis (which is common both here and in Japan), but they just opened, and not many used parts came from locals yet. This is why I can't give 5 stars, yet, but I will be coming back and will update my review in several months. I do also feel some of the prices may be a bit of a stretch for something used, but some where also reasonable too.
I hear they will also have a website that will show stock which may help them A LOT.
If you are actually looking for good parts that are hard to find, they have them.
Are they cheap? No, as they are hard to find. If they were easy to find then they would be cheap.
Great customer service. Pricing is great for those who don’t know the prices in Japan. Definitely give them a follow and keep an eye out for rare parts.
