I came to Rollings Automotive for a water pump replacement. They did great work I would highly recommend to anyone I know. Very professional, did a great job and took their time but were able to get the work done in a timely manner, very responsive, and great customer service. Even went out of their way to send me a thank you card! I great business that I will be going back to for any future car maintenance… & for a great, fair price!
My truck had been having issues with shaking at different speeds and recently developed shaking while braking as well. For months this had been going on. I took it to a few different shops several times trying to resolve the issue. I was told repeatedly that the alignment was off, the tire balance was off, or that the tires needed to be rotated but that would seem to make it worse. I also had taken it in for a full service and was told specifically that my brakes were okay. All the while things were getting worse. I decided to try a third opinion, Rollings Automotive. They realized right away it was the brakes, fixed it, charged a reasonable price and the mechanic took the time to explain how issues with the brakes can be felt even when not braking. They could’ve completely ripped me off because I went in thinking it was a MUCH bigger issue (damaged tires or axel, etc) and I communicated that with the mechanic. I appreciate their honesty so much. For that alone, I will return for any future maintenance or issues.
After waiting 90 days, 2nd 0pions to reflect on my experience with Rolllings Automotive Fullerton, I feel compelled to share my review. Despite investing over $2,000 and returning three times,same core issue—a loose battery cable remained undiagnosed. I was sold a starter motor that I ultimately did not need. While the staff is friendly and responsive, I expected more thorough diagnostics "given"their years in business. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend their services based on my experience. I’m relieved to have taken my car elsewhere, where the issue was resolved swiftly. A loose battery cable NOT A NEW STARTER MOTER "PERIOD"!!!!! Which I paid almost $500 out of pocket and that was not the issue 3xs I returned in a week come to find out it was a loose battery cable WOW never again‼
Mixed feelings, staff seemed nice. Couldn't check my car because it was missing a part number. I'm going to say maybe it's a policy or she's specific about how people write. The lady at the desk wants you to fill out the form, but then proceeds to not hand you the clipboard and fill everything out herself(felt icky).
We have been coming here for years, always very reliable and super helpful. Fast turnaround, amazing customer service, and always the upmost care for you and your car. Thanks a lot!
When my car overheated, they instantly got me into their shop in the afternoon and had me out of there by closing time with a fixed hose. They were kind, honest, and the price was great! Plus the shop is very interesting with vintage autos and motorcycles. Highly recommend!
Be careful of this place. I am not a customer but was driving down the street in front of their automotive place. When one of the owners pulled out and crashed into my Jeep. They are now refusing to provide insurance information and threw me out of their shop. I am not sure if they have insurance. The lack of integrity. The lack of everything should keep you away from this place
Took my car for diagnostic and repair. Was quoted over $1000 for parts and labor. When I asked for some detail or clarification regarding one of the repair items, I was given a surly, grumpy response with zero help or information. To further add salt to this wound, my car was returned to me in worse condition than I left it. My advice, steer well clear of Rollings. Terrible customer service, terrible attitude, awful people.

I have been a customer of Rollings for a few years. The work had always been satisfactory, and I had only ever dealt with Kimberly in the front office.
My wifes Mini had recently began overheating. Before taking the car in, I took a look under the hood. Upon closer inspection the fan was not spinning, obviously the root issue.
I hit the internet to do my due diligence. Two common causes are the resistor on the fan, and the coolant temperature sensor can stop the fan turning on.
With that info I found the fan electrical connector. By applying 12v current to the fan directly, the fan spun up that indicated the fan motor itself was working. I also replaced the coolant sensor before reinstalling everything.
Unfortunately, the new sensor did not cure the fan not spinning up. So it looked like the resistor is the issue.
At this point I realised I had to take the car to a pro. I decided to take the Mini to Rollings. They had done satisfactory work for me before and they are walking distance to my house.
When there I explain all the steps I had taken so far, I give the part number of the sensor I replaced, and leave the keys.
The next day I get a call from Rollings and I was informed of the recommended service work. All the various items added up to well over $1000, quite a shock. The fan was the most expensive part at nearly $600 alone. My wife needs this vehicle back so I just gave them the go ahead.
Well we are not flush with cash. Like most families these days we make it month to month. Wanting to see what we could do to save money with the fan specifically I called Rollings back. I eventually got hold of the service manager, Humberto (Bert) I asked him about the cost of the fan, as I know there is an aftermarket unit available for $250. Also there is the option of replacing the resistor - a $30 part - instead of the whole fan unit that appears to be working.
Humberto doesn't seem to like customers asking questions. The only response I had from him was "I diagnose fan, it broken, I dont know what else to tell you"
Now I'm not a mechanic, I'm not a pro. But I'm also not an idiot. And I've been maintaining and repairing my 3 vehicles for well over 30 years. I don't appreciate being talked to like an idiot. Especially if I'm expected to pony over a grand to the guy. For that money I expect a little customer service. Don't just rudely give me the brush off.
So I told him to hold off on the fan. Do the oil and filter, and we'll leave it at that.
Two days later the car is ready to pick up. When I get there I get a bill for $250 - for an oil and filter change. And the mysterious diagnostic. So I'm complaining to the cashier girl that for $95 for a diagnostic I should get my moneys worth. All I got was Bert's grumpy tone on the phone and a cold brush off.
The cashier goes to see if there is anything she can do. Grumpy old Bert comes out and asks why I complain "I told you fan was broken, you decline work". I ask him what his diagnosis was, if I'm paying for it. "Low resistance in fan"
Anyway they refused to lower the price, and I didn't really have the energy to press my point. It was going nowhere.
Halfway home a bit of fake chrome plastic trim fell off the front grille. I went back to retrieve the trim, it was in the middle of the street busted up.
The takeaway is that I took my vehicle to Rollings and left it in their care. It was returned to me in worse condition than I left it, unrepaired and nothing more than bad attitude for my money.
10/10. Very friendly and helpful. My car was done the same day I took it in. Much cheaper and faster than taking it into the dealership. Definitely going back here with any future car problems
If I could give you a zero I would. You guys are shady. Nobody who gives a quote and not include manual labor. If you’re told the total is 400.00, so then you decide, that’s no a bad amount . Then you get there and it’s $300.00 dollars more than you originally quoted. The excuse about not including the labor as well is unfair and lying by omitting info. You people should be ashamed. Had we been given the entire cost of the quote we would have chosen to shop around. Don’t go here if you want honest people to work on your vehicle.
These people are liars and crooks. They will try to take advantage of you when possible. They tried charging almost two hours of labor to replace a mass air flow sensor! It takes less than two minutes to replace. They then said that the new part requires programming. COMPLETE LIES! MASS AIR FLOW SENSORS DO NOT REQUIRE ANY TIME OF PROGRAMMING AFTER REPLACEMENT! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR SERVICING YOUR CAR!
They're professional, kind and will fix your car for a fair price. I've been taking my car to Rollings Auto for years. They are just the nicest people. Maybe more importantly, they have treated me fairly in every interaction. Bert constantly goes above and beyond to help, and reduce the total bill. I've received nothing but incredible service at a lower price than I'd expect. I've recommended them to friends and family, and if you're looking for help then Rollings is a great place to start.
Bert and his crew of mechanics are great. I have been going there for 6 years. I was referred to Rolling Automotive from two of my neighbors. They have been there for me, even when I am out of town with advice.

Rollings Automotive has taken excellent care of me and my family. I refuse to take my car anywhere else!! They are always honest, always keep their word and do great customer service!! Any time there has been an issue they always stand by their work and correct any problem. The staff is friendly and they even have wifi for when I have to wait in the lobby:-)
I was pretty pleased with the work and service. I took my car in for an oil change and also asked if they could take a look at my tires, it had been a while since they were rotated and the tire pressure light had just come on. They called me before they did anything to let me know what they were going to do and summarize the cost. Turns out I had a flat tire but they patched it up nicely. Got the car back same day in great shape and paid exactly what they quoted me on the phone!
Very talented crew, Bert and James have curated their shop to be versatile and effective. Reasonably priced, and as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for!" What you pay for here is honest, experienced, quality work! Had my catalytic converter stolen, not only did they replace it for me, but they welded in flat bar steel around it and on either side as a deterrent for any future thieves. ABOVE AND BEYOND!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE, they are rip off artists. they gave me estimate of 3,500.00 for a new motor plus 500.00 to install in my car and told me it would be ready in one week, five months later they call and say its ready and I was so excited to be getting my car back but when I got there the bill was for 9,000.00, I never received a phone call ever from them. they screwed me bad plus the motor wasn't running, they had to work on it while I waited and it was backfiring and they told me it just has to warm up. from 4,000.00 to 9,000.00 with no phone call is not fair. CAN A ESTIMATE BE $5,000.00 OVER?
Avoid this place, Bert gave me an estimate of $3500.00 for a new 289 motor and about $500.00 to install in my car that already had the motor out and told me it would be ready in a week. I figured the max would be no more then $ 5000.00, five months later they tell me it is ready and I was so excited but when I got there they give me a bill for $9000.00 I never received a call saying it was more, I walked out and went home, a few days later I called to compromise and offered $6000.00 and they said no because they messed up and had to do it over but felt that I should pay for there rework, I had no choice because I had no car, when I went back to pick it up they couldn't get it to start, finally that got it started and it was backfiring and stalling, I had to fix it myself after paying $4000.00 dollars more then they told me and more then any other auto shop, the exhaust raddles against the floor and it still doesn't run good. I noticed on there website they had only five star reviews and check those peoples Facebook page and wouldn't you know the ones that didn't hid there friends were friends with James. What does that tell you? I called the Bureau of Automotive Repair and James lied to them and told them that he told me it was going to be a lot more and I okayed it so I lose because it's my word against his so he ripped me off for $5,000 make sure you get everything and riding anymore because there's a lot of rip-offs out there anymore I am furious because I am losing my business because of this and I wonder how many times they do this no wonder they live in big huge houses.
Used a coupon to get an oil change on May 15th 2017. On June 15th my car wouldn't start when leaving work. Had my mechanic work neighbor try to jump my car. He used his machine to check the battery and said it was at 12 which is high enough for the car to start do it is most likely the starter. He mentioned it looked like someone had been messing with wires under the hood but no one has touched my car since the oil change. Got it towed to rollings and they said the battery is not good and i need an oil change. He also said it looked like someone messed with the wires. I explained no ons had touched my car since i got an oil change. He said car places will do that so you come back unknowing they were the ones who changed my oil last. How would I need a oil change if it hasn't even been a month I asked. He said I don't know but the oil is dirty but will give you a complimentary oil change. How is complimentary if it was never done in the first place? This place makes money skeeming people esp. Woman. So now I'm out money for a battery i didn't need and who knows what else they messed with that will cost me money. If i would have known they never actually did the oil change in the first place or that they were messing with wires I would have never got my car towed to them. It's places like this that make it hard for people to trust car places. Take your chances of you want to with this place but know that your car will be in a worse situation when you leave.
Thank you guys so much! We were stuck in town with bad brakes on our RV. No one would help us, even a mobile mechanic stood us up! Rolling Auto took care of our master cylinder the same day! We were back on our way north safely in no time. The price was totally reasonable and as quoted. Thanks again guys!
I have been a customer of Rollings Automotive for 15+ years. They have been fantastic each time I have brought my car in for service. I have even called them to tow me in when I needed it and they came running. My last car I kept for 9 years and over 250K miles and I'd have to say it was because the service they provided kept it running great. I have been taking in my Lexus now for the last 6 years for regular oil changes. They always give the car a once over and make sure things are taken care of before an issue ever occurs. I couldn't be happier. I have sent my children and my parents and even my siblings to them and all have been happy. Thanks so much James and Bert! My Car and I appreciate you.
I have been bringing all my cars to Rollings Automotive for several years. They are always very prompt, courteous and professional and I can count on receiving an HONEST assessment of what my car needs. Their work is top-quality and they will not recommend repairs that your car does not need. I highly recommend Rollings Automotive to anyone who loves their car!
I went to them for a free alignment because I had a coupon. They looked at my truck and told me I had a broken tie rod which they had to replace before they could do an alignment. They said that since the other tie rod was bent, I should probably replace them both tie rods at a total cost of $706. In addition I needed brakes which would cost $235 bringing the total repair to $941.
I picked up my truck and took it to Fullerton Transmission. My parents have been using them for years. They looked at my tie rods and told me they were fine. In addition, I didn't need an alignment. They only thing I needed was brakes which they charged me $168 to replace.
DON'T trust Rollings Automotive. They are a rip off.
Love this place. The lobby area is very clean, and the decor is pretty awesome. I always get great service here and I never feel pressured to purchase anything extra or unnecessary . I have been coming here for the past few years, even though now I live in Mision Viejo. It is good excuse to visit my favorite sushi place down the street and reminisce about my life pre kiddos (hard to imagine). Well it is also seriously hard to find mechanic you trust. I have been to a couple of other places where you feel like you dropped your car off and they handed you back the keys a few hours later and did nothing. Not here. Keep up the good work guys and I will keep driving 30 miles to go get my car serviced.
I love Rollings. They've always been speedy about repairs, even when I fail to call ahead. Prices are quite fair--and they never try to sell me a bunch of services.
This impressed me: One time I bought a bulb for my headlight, planned to replace it myself. Rollings put it in for me for free while checking my brakes. Didn't even ask--just did it. Never heard of an automotive place doing *anything* for free. I know a bulb install is a small thing, but it speaks volumes about how they care for their customers.
Made an appointment for an oil change. When I showed up, I was given attitude and told that I had to wait 1 hr even though I had an appointment. I ask them if that was just today or everyday. They claimed it was always like that. They made me feel like I was stupid from what they said and how they said it. I am a minority but English is my first language. I was born and raised in the States. I have no accent and am very familiar with the workings of the engine and it's maintenance. I do not know why they would treat me like that.
